The online program is NOT for everyone. You must be teachable and capable of self teaching. Anyone complaining about the "lack of support" had a huge lack of understanding about online programs.

I got help when I needed it, I had one class that I felt like I had to go to administration about, and they immediately resolved the issue.

If you have poor comprehension skills and are unwilling to do your own research (you know, the same thing you would be instructed to do in person), don't waste your or the school's time.

And yes, like ANY other higher education program, you will have to pay, but it's comparable to going to a community college. And if you weren't able to pass the exams, the ONLY person you can blame is yourself.

Or it might just be that this is NOT the field for you.

Although I was not a student, my husband was and I am saddened to see the negative comments. My husband was an online student for 2 years and we travelled to Manhattan 3 weeks ago to complete his studies and then graduation. At no time did we experience any negativity. If he had questions, he would either email or call a staff member. His questions were answered immediately with kindness. His experience at the school was the same. Learning more with great understanding. To the person who accused the school of being a scam and rip off...I am sorry you did not make it. There was offered several practice tests and guides to help you along the way and the help from the instructors were always available. All I can say that my husband at 62 made the decision to start a new career. Now 64 he is a graduate from McAllister's. So very proud of him and thank you McAllister staff for being part of our journey ❤

I truly enjoyed my time on campus. The school taught me everything I needed to pass the national board exams. The teachers and staff are great, they took material that can feel repetitive, and made it feel fresh an interesting and kept my attention, which isn't always an easy task. I highly recommend this school.

I am beyond happy with this school. They staff are so helpful and kind. I would recommend this school to anyone!! 5 stars for sure :)

Granted this school was very difficult. But it was worth it. I am a licensed Funeral Director/ Embalmer in New York State. The school is not meant for everyone. If you start, then don't stop until you finish. This is no place for laziness.

I learned so much at this school, to this day I go back and look at old notes as reminders when completing my daily work in the funeral profession.

Don't waste your time. This place is a joke. The instructors are not there for you if you do the program online. Be prepared to spend 10's of thousands of dollars to them and you end up teaching yourself the material. You go weeks with no communication from your instructors. When you reach out to your advisor or the Dean, they do nothing. Be ready to be spoken to like a child. I'm a grown adult in my 40's and they would speak to me like I was fresh out of High School. Material that is one the tests are not even material that is brought up in the class. The constant "you need to understand I have a job outside of teaching this class." you will be told that multiple times from the instructs. They don't get back to you in a timely manner. I got absolutely nothing out of the year that I spent there. Again, do your research before you think about attending this place.
