Super cute local book store with many options. One of my favorite things at a book store is when they do “Blind Date With A Book”. This store does that! Also has some items other than books. Has a back reading area i assume is for children. Super cute. They sell used books. You can donate books too but they aren’t accepting any as of this post

I have attended several events at Asbury Book Coopoerative. They have been carefully planned and consistently interesting. As for the bookstore itself, the staff is always friendly & helpful. And ABC offers an impressive book selection. Supporting locally-owned businesses is always a good choice. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful addition to the community. ABC consistently offers book clubs, and events for the community, often while partnering with local businesses to bring in treats/ support their business. LGBTQ+ / BIPOC friendly. Extremely inclusive environment with their values represented in their selections. Great used book sales. Can’t recommend enough.

The Asbury Book Coop has a wonderful book selection. Their helpful volunteer staff speak to many different underrepresented literature genres. They help promote an inclusive fun atmosphere that is kid friendly.

Lovely spot to find your next read! Something for everyone — from used to new, and adults to kids. Used books are priced really well and in great condition. The volunteers are knowledgeable and, most important, genuinely friendly — happy to answer any questions or even encourage a book club! I was worried they’d lose some of their charm when they relocated, but happy to report they’ve made such great use of the space, and it’s even more family friendly now!

such a beautiful little place! My partner and I came here on our visit to asbury park yesterday and had a lovely time. Unfortunately, I was having a panic attack and crying a little because of something that happened earlier at a bar across the street. I didn’t have my anxiety medication on me, so we popped into this bookstore for me to catch my breath and calm down. The atmosphere was so welcoming and kind. There was comfy seating, low lighting, and great music playing. I felt really safe and started feeling better after a little while. Even better was the fact that my partner and I bought books while there and got to chat with some of the people working about what they were reading!

I love that this business is worker owned and I love that it was a place of refuge in a time of need. Wish it was closer to me because I would come back all the time and join the book clubs!

I come here all the time with my boyfriend and we always look forward to our next visit. Everyone who volunteers there is so kind and makes you feel so welcome, and always gives you a good chat about what’s in right now. Such a nice place to getaway for a few minutes!

This store had a good mix of new, used, and kids books, something for everyone. It is also 🏳‍🌈 friendly which I love. The gentleman who works there was warm, friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back to this little gem of a store!

I walked in expecting to find one or two used books that might be interesting and ended up leaving with six books straight off my wish list! All used and in fantastic condition! Plus, a perfect playlist for a bookstore. Loved everything about it from the top to the bottom.

An interesting assortment : fiction and nonfiction , local and national /international. We bought Tim O’Neil’s 2019 book Chaos on Manson and the CIA … as well as a 2nd hand biography of Gurdjieff. Nice and homey sitting area and friendly staff; I will go back someday!

A much needed addition to downtown Asbury, It's refreshing to be able to buy a book in person in such a lovely space. Thank you for being so kind to my grandma yesterday. Looking forward to coming back.

Vacationing in Asbury park and I needed a good read. I saw a very small book store and hoped against hope I would find something interesting. They had a nice eclectic assortment of tomes. Very pleasantly surprised to find "Licks of Love" by John Updike. My wife and I are always reading so finding something as worthwhile as these short stories and a Sequel of "Rabbit Remembered was a real find in such a small selection. Someone is doing a good job! I have been trying to read more while not supporting a certain e-commerce giant, so when I saw this store on a trip to Asbury Park, I walked in. Their selection was great, in which I found many of the books that I have had on my reading list for a while. The staff was helpful and friendly. Very nice experience

The woman that helped me was sweet and caring in offering suggestions for my purchase. When I got home I started reading her recommended book. I couldn't put it down, a great read. I was going to go to Barnes and Noble but was happy I stayed local. Her price was only $1 more than B&N and it saved me a trip to Eatontown. A great local book shop.

My favorite small business bookstore! They have a great variety of new and used books for people of all ages and walks of life. The staff are super friendly! My 2-year old daughter and I always look forward for a trip to ABC 📚💗

This is my favorite bookstore of all time. They have a great selection and the owner is so nice. There’s also a little section by the window for kids to play which my 3 year old loves. The prices are about the same as what you’d pay on amazon and there’s a used book section which always has great finds.
