Ironworks Gym

Gritty & timeless powerlifting gym! I absolutely love it here. It has power racks, specialty bars, atlas stones, sleds, belt squat, dumbbells, cables, machines and some cardio equipment.

It has 4 separate sections to train in so it’s not too noisy and offers some privacy if you’re a shy one. Turf area and surprisingly a MMA section if you want to hit a heavy bag or roll with a partner.

It’s 24/7 but if you want to join you’ll have to apply on their website and make an appointment to come in and sign up. Staff is welcoming and helpful, the prices are fair for what they offer. Highly recommend!

This gym is truly fantastic. I was a short-term member while visiting with my in-laws over the holidays and it's an impressive facility. Very welcoming, while still maintaining an old-school weightroom ethos that is hard to find these days. It's clear that the members care about building a supportive community, regardless of one's fitness goals. Loved the Flannel Fridays!

Really wish this was my everyday gym and looking forward to my next visit to the in-laws--phenomenal gym!

This gym is one of the best gyms in this area. It is not very packed so it’s quiet. I always get a good workout when I’m here and take full advantage of all the machines, weights etc that the gym has.It is open 24/7 and is not very expensive. It is big on power lifting and has a good variety of machines. The workers there and nice and helpful. One thing I like is that the gym is secure. Only people with memberships can get in by a finger print pad which I like. This means the gym is safe and it helps with it not being so packed.

Simply put, if you're looking for a real gym, with helpful and friendly owners Ironworks Gym is the place for you. With a newly upgraded facility, I have never been in a better gym (if one exists). There is a vast range of equipment for any type of exercise. The atmosphere is perfect, with great members and plenty of space for everyone. So if you're looking to begin enjoying your workouts and make real progress, then you have found what you're looking for.

Ironworks gym is a great gym for anyone who is looking to train hard and reach their goals. It has all the tools you need housed in a clean, well lit environment and it has good A/C. Strong man, power lifting, or just general conditioning and hypertrophy training are all options here and it has a great outside area with tires, a Yoke, etc. The owners are laid back and very approachable. It's a friendly environment to train in and it's easy to get motivated once you walk in the door.

My boyfriend and I were visiting from the west coast last week and we were looking for a gym to work out at, seeing as we were 2500 miles from our home gym. Gotta say, we were ECSTATIC that we found a gym that is perfect for lifters. If we'd have had more time in our busy schedule of sightseeing and touristy things, we'd have been here every day. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was great, and they had all the equipment you could need as a weightlifter and/or cross fitter. When we visit again (family is near) we will definitely be back! We HIGHLY recommend! 10 stars and 4 thumbs up!

This is a great gym. Not only are the owners accommodating and friendly, but everyone that goes there is polite and so far they have all been willing to give the new folks (like myself) answers to questions. The members there all take part in helping to keep the equipment orderly and clean (which is awesome if you've ever been to planet fitness). This gym also has a variety of literature to satisfy athletes, bodybuilders, powerlifters, and the recreational fitness enthusiast. I haven't participated any of the class activities offered there, but everyone I see coming out of the classroom is smiling and sweating. 10/10.

From a biometric fingerprint security system, to a wide variety of equipment & great location this is definitely one of the best, if not the best in the area. The prices are reasonable for what it's worth. Great environment too. If you are looking for a gym in the area this is definitely the place to go.

Ironworks Gym is a great training facility. The 24/7 access is extremely convenient. The warm,friendly atmosphere created by it's staff and members, along with the variety of training equipment, makes this a fantastic gym!

Ironworks is the gym you dream of finding one day as you struggle to maintain your composure under your current conditions. The staff are informed and helpful, I can't stress how important this is. The equipment is rugged and plentiful, ranging from bands to specialty bars, from kettle bells to atlas stones. 24/7 access, plenty of space, even an outdoor area if you're interested in strongman training. I can't think of enough nice things to say.

After moving away from the area, I still compare every gym to this one. It has everything you need, nothing you don't. No slimy business practices, no pressure to get extra services, no fees to be able to get through the door.

Straight to the point gym with owners that care and a quality group of members.

I don't go here any more, I just miss the place.

I attended my first powerlifting competition, the Heartbreak Classic, here in 2011. It was well run, friendly, and a lot of fun. The gym is well equipped for any serious strength athlete. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended!

Excellent gym. Has equipment for: Strongman, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, and training in general. 24 hour access is awesome. Owners are great and both compete. Relaxed atmosphere. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

If you're looking to tote around 2lb dumbbells in your Sketchers Step ups and Jazzersize the day away, this probably isn't the gym for you. If you want an atmosphere where you can throw on some loud music and slam some weights, go to Ironworks.

Unlike AFF or Planet Fitness, you won't get kicked out for working out. The members I've had the chance to meet are friendly and knowledgeable. You'll learn a lot just by going there when others are around. Everyone is helpful and willing to give input in a way that's not condescending or intimidating.

To top it all off, the owners are wonderful and will remember your name, and will take the time to get to know you. You don't get that at many other places.

What this isn't:

-A typical 'exercise bikes and light free weights' Globo-Gym with casual New Years and Spring Break 'tone it up' members

-A place to expect peace and quiet in your solitary exercise without grunting or weights dropping

-A heavily-monitored rules-heavy operation that tries to sell you personal training sessions

What this is:

-A weight-lifter's paradise with serious free weights, actual-weight-marked barbell plates, weight platforms, and secured squat racks

-A place with an atmosphere of omnipresent experienced members who are glad to give you advice or a spot

-Great for powerlifters, bodybuilders, cross-fitters, and those who will seek to include strength training with their cardio

It's not "Planet Fitness". It's a gym with chalk, serious squat rack implementations, tractor tires to flip, a matted room to hit bags or wrestle around, an open room to accomplish things that need more space, and plenty of seasoned members who are glad to point you in the right direction if you're looking for advice.

And it's a local gym. Stop supporting the corporate conglomerates that are extracting money from the area. Buy local.

I love this gym.

This Gym is for those of us that don't want to conform to someone else's schedule for "Open Hours or Closed Hours". This Gym is a No nonsene gym with 24hr access year round. The price tag for membership is more then reasonable. And all the equipment is always well kept and in order. Meaning, you will never waste precious workout time putting someone elses weights and equipment back where they belong! You can choose your own music with the sound equipment provided. And there are plenty of antibacterial cleaning implements that will help you keep the gym sanitized at all times. Especially if you are a "germfreak" like me. TWO THUMBS UP!!! And the Management/Owners work out there too and they both are very approachable.

I've been searching for a gym that had just a few similarities to mine at home. This gym has everything you'd need for any workout. I never thought I'd see an Atlas stone at any other gym in my life. Awesome place.

I used to go here a decade ago, and it was 🔥. Literally 24/7 gym. There's a code to get in, meaning you can go at anytime during the night. Many nights I was in there alone!! Good to see it's still in business 🔥

Ironworks Gym is truly the last real gym in Binghamton. Ironworks has the best equipment, the friendliest owners and a community feel that you cannot get from a commercial gym! If you are ready to get serious about your training, Ironworks is the gym for you!
