Country Hills Campgrounds

Traveled all over the country and this was the best campground bar none. The owners are fantastic people. The campground was beautifully maintained. The scenery is fantastic. I traveled around the country with my family tournament bass fishing last year and fished some of the best bodies of water around, and their stocked pond was up in the top ten fishing we experienced. If you have travel plans to visit the area and are looking for a great campground, look no further, this is the spot! If I could give 10 stars I’d give 12!

Beautiful well maintained campground nested in the rolling hills near Marathon. Owners go out of there way to make everyone feel welcome. We camped here for a couple of years and then became a seasonal camper. It is a peaceful place to spend our summers. It has become one of our Happy Places.

Country Hills was a hidden treasure that we are so glad we found. We needed a place to set up while we moved back to CNY and this turned out to be perfect. Jim helped us to get into the perfect site and we loved the peace and quiet of the campgrounds. Everyone is friendly and most have been long term campers. But Jim, Denise and Tia are what makes this place feel like home. From the wonderful available dinners Fri. and Sat. nights and breakfasts Sat & Sun mornings to the special events for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day—they go all out. And don’t forget the amazing 4th of July fireworks—not to be missed. We are so glad we found this campground and have signed up for next season. Thank you for a wonderful summer.

We had a wonderful holiday weekend at Country Hills campground. The owners, Jim, Denise and Tia do a wonderful job making everyone feel comfortable and welcome! They keep the facilities in tip-top shape. Bonus, the breakfast buffet, made to order, was wonderful 😊

We only stopped in for one night on an impromptu trip. They had availability on a great and easy pull thru site with full hookup. The grounds are very clean, quiet, and spread out. There was “order to your site and delivered” food available on fri/sat. We got some apps to go with dinner, and a yummy breakfast the next morning. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Well worth it!!

The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The price for the site was great. It was close to where we were going. Was a great weekend. Site was fairly level where the trailer sat. Easy in and out.

We camped here for two weeks and hated leave. This campground was the cleanest campground we have ever camped at. The beauty and peacefulness was amazing. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Each weekend you can order breakfast & dinner from the weekend menu. They deliver it to your site! We had pancakes and french toast both were delicious! We loved the little town of Marathon. Lots of fun hiking near by. If we are in the area again we will definitely stay here.

Absolutely wonderful campground!! Stayed here throughout the month of August and I felt so at home!! The campground is immaculate, the spots are nice and roomy with great hookups, the campground is so spacious with acres of greenery, and the owners are fantastic!!
Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the owners Jim, Denise, and Tia are absolutely wonderful!! They go above and beyond accommodating any of your needs and make you feel so at home!! They even offer dinners that you can order every night and breakfast on the weekends!! My fur baby Rocco and even my land tortoise Tina had such a great time here!!! This place is a true gem!! I definitely will be returning for another stay!! ❤

Cutest family owned campground. felt very homey. they served breakfast and dinner, the food was amazing and the prices were so cheap for such good food. great pond with a lot of fish. everyone including the owners were super friendly. the owner asked for what they should do in the future and i think a small pool would be a good investment and i feel like a lot of people would use it. over all amazing campground and i will be back.

With camping being so high in demand I was lucky to get a seasonal spot last year 2021 without seeing the site or knowing anything about the campground I paid for the seasonal spot. After spending the season there I could not be happier with the campground and the owners. The campground is small and on the quiet side, great for relaxing and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Mostly seasonals and very friendly ones at that. The owners Jim, Denise and Tia go out of the way to accommodate any of your needs. Best part is the great food that they serve at very low prices. We overnighted at Country Hills going to and coming from a longer trip. The property is beautiful! Some of the seasonal renters have sites that face the very large pond. From our site, we could see the pond in between the seasonal sites. Our site had a nice picnic table and fire ring. The staff is super friendly. We did not get to try any of the food offered, but they do serve food. We are going to be back there in Aug. (2021) I hope to order a few things then. If there was one thing I would add, it would be a playground set for kids. They have currently a nice area that has a few things, however, just adding a nice playset would be awesome.

Our first trip in our first ever camper. We live 5 miles away but see ourselves spending a lot of time here. Couldn’t get our grill to fire up so we ordered three lasagne meals and had them delivered to our site. Brilliant! Amazing customer experience saves the day. Jim and Denise are wonderful and really care about their guests.

Had a wonderful time at this campground. The owners could not have been more pleasant and helpful. When I realized I forgot my charcoal starter Jim kindly let me have his personal supply to use for the duration of the weekend. Very Kind!. Facilities very clean. The park itself very pleasant and peaceful. People there very friendly. Very nice scenery.Plenty of space for nice walks up in the hills, where they have made walking paths thru the woods.
Overall one of the best times I have experienced at a private camp ground.We will definitely return.

Love this campground! My husband and I have been coming here for 15 years! In that time the campground changed ownership a few times. The new owners really made some really great changes. Examples: More full hookups sites and bathrooms are always clean and no noisy golf carts ! Will continue to come and we have plans to become seasonal! Great place!

Wonderful campground. Very clean and quiet. Jim and Denise (owners) were very friendly and accommodating. Paddle boats and Kayaks were a blast. Jim even visited our site to thank us for coming and chatted with us for a while. First time here but I know it will definitely not be our last!!!

Stayed there on a return trip home on Friday and Saturday.
Site was full hookup. Great price. No pool, not a big deal for us, very quiet and relaxing. More amenities and facilities than a state park for the same price. Great atmosphere. Owners were great. Easy in and out. Very nice level sites, ours was a pull through. Will definitely stay there again when in the area.

Excellent little campground. They serve breakfast on the weekends, great prices and good food. We enjoyed are stay on the full hookup site. Fishing in pond is catch and release but lots of fish to be caught. One note is that the restrooms were still closed as of 6/12 so you must have a camper with bathroom.

The owners/ operators of this campground Denise, Jim and Tia are the BEST! They are so accommodating and caring and helpful I could ‘t believe my good fortune in finding this little gem. I normally boondock when I visit Upstate NY in the summertime while I visit family. But this summers heat and then soooo much rain made me rethink that. Found Country Hills campground in ALLSTAYS app and called and VOILA! My troubled were over. Full hookup at at a discounted rate by the month. This place has a nice little pond for fishing and kayaking or canoeing in, everything is clean and well maintained. If you have a problem you just call the office and it is taken care of. The neighborly campfire up by the office each evening with the owner Jim in nice comfy lawn chairs is a really nice touch. They are kid and pet friendly, and all of their seasonal folks were very friendly too. Can’t say enough nice things about the place or people. I will be back! Hoping to maybe even get lucky enough to nab one of their seasonal sites too.

We spent 1 month plus 4 days at Country Hills. This was a great campground in a great location for exploring the area. The campground owners were the best host (and hostess) that we have ever encountered in our 4 years of full timing!
Our pull through full hook up campsite was all gravel with grass in between the sites. There is a fire ring on the site which we did not use. Did not use the bath house. There are no amenities but there is a catch and release pond if you are into fishing and a small playground for children. Has an enclosed Pavilion that can be used for Rally's.
Cortland is 12 miles away for groceries and Ithaca about 24 miles for larger shopping and restaurants. Very quiet at night and the stars are gorgeous. We did experience a lot of rain while there but it was not a major issue. Jim takes good care of interior roads which are dirt and gravel.
We enjoyed Taughannock Falls State Park on one of our excursions and also the State Fair in Syracuse.
Call campground for directions as the GPS will likely guide you in a route that is not conducive to big rigs.

This is a beautiful and exceptionally well kept campground. There are plenty of places to walk with or without your pet and there is a beautiful catch and release lake.
We travel in a 44ft pusher and our site was plenty long enough and level. We stayed a month because there is a lot to enjoy in this area. This is farm country with lots of back roads. We got fresh corn from a local farmer on a walk we took and Amish pies and bread were also nearby. Marathon is a cute farm town with a great pizza place and Ithica, with all it's state parks, kept us busy most of the time, there is so much to see.
This park has a lot of seasonal sites, mostly weekenders and the people we met were friendly and pleasant.
The owners live in the park and very friendly and helpful. They really care about the campground and guests.
Nearby Cortland has a Walmart and most of whatever you might need. Be sure to visit the Cornell Campus and the gardens there.
