Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, an IHG Hotel

Took my mom for mothers day all u can eat breakfast.
The staff was awesome and on point with keeping up with all who came. The buffet was always stocked and ready for all. It was clean and the atmosphere was cheerful.
It was my first and I will again go to another.

Attended a small wedding party for our Niece and stayed here as well. Every aspect exceeded expectations. The food and service was top- shelf. Staff could not have been more accommodating. It's worth the stop just for the shrimp cocktail! Never seen anything like it- these were huge and delicious. Prime rib was excellent as well. Everything in the room was very clean and everything worked (which is usually not the case at other places I've stayed). Bed was so comfortable I actually slept in!- which I can never do when travelling. Thank you to all who made our brief stay so enjoyable!

Love this place so much, just wish the halls had moving walkway. It's all very spread apart, but the two tiered terrace is pretty rad

Stayed here a couple of nights for a car club event. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised!

Everything in this hotel is clean and upkept. The beds are super comfy, and there are plenty of pillows (firm and soft to pick from) for a good night's sleep.

The bathroom was exceptionally clean and well stocked with fluffy towels and Dove bath products all around.

For our event, we had the ballroom, which hosted our buffet breakfasts and dinners. The food was very fresh and good. For our 'awards night dinner,' the dessert was Apple Crumble. I was told it's homemade, right there at the hotel. I have to say it was delicious and I even asked if I could take some home.

The staff at this hotel is very friendly and helpful. Everyone had a smile and a hello, it was very refreshing to experience.

The area was lovely, also, with really beautiful drives, perfect for a car club.

Great outdoor pool and property. Clean hotel. Good restaurant/bar as well.

This is the definition of a full service hotel! Hotels like this just don't exist anymore. The lobby and restaurant are beautiful. The staff is at your service all day. The staff cares about you and will help you figure anything out, from travel to dry cleaning, to lost luggage, to setting your thermostat in your room perfectly. The restaurant offers room service and the food is delicious, they serve prime rib every night and have nightly specials. They will accommodate allergies and make things without seasonings. The bar and fire pit deck are just icing on the cake. The rooms are clean and the hotel is quiet at night. Literally no complaints, will use this hotel for all my future stays.

The room was super clean and smelled amazing! Good housekeeping, they actually vacuumed the floor. There were more than enough towels, there wasn’t anything you would be wanting except no complimentary breakfast.
The restaurant staff on the other hand was horrible though. If you’re not a regular customer, they will not give you what you ordered, blame you for her confusion, missing some orders with no apologies. Would not even fill up a glass of water, even when it’s so obvious. Gives you the bill midway thru breakfast and made a mistake of attaching the wrong bill to my card. The woman server was a nightmare. Have breakfast another place, its a dark room (away from the window) the food was plain, it was not cheap and the service was horrible.

I always stay here when work brings me nearby. The restaurant has amazing food and the place is immaculate

I do have to do a little downgrading to my original review. I have been coming here for work now on a weekly basis since Feb 2023. 1 or 2 nights a week. I have order dinner a few times. Ordered it to go, then took it back to my room. I have never done the breakfast so I figured, I would today. 4 dirty coffee mugs, I dirty dish, and something floating in my water glass... I changed my mind and went back to my room. I will probably never eat here again. Bad enough they do not have complimentary coffee like every other Hotel chain (Including Holiday Inn Express), but $14 - $20 for breakfast on dirty dishes... I can't accept that.

Better than expected. We usually head for hotels that are a little pricier as the accommodations are expected to also be nicer. But location of this hotel was perfect for our needs. Bed and bathroom were surprisingly nice. Room was clean and quiet (stay opposite the highway if it matters to you). Check-in staff was very helpful. The real jewel was the attached bar and restaurant. Kitchen management knows what they're doing. Nicely appointed, good menu options, and fantastic taste +presentation. If the need arrives, no need to look further than this hotel.

Went to a party here in a meeting room, staff were friendly and pleasant, and the food was good.

My family had my father's memorial get together here. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bar wasn't open, and they opened it early for us, as well as 2 bar tenders for all 30 of us. They did excellent 👏 Food was good, also very clean and tidy entrance area, bar area, and bathrooms.

Clean comfortable rooms, great amenities, attentive service and a fantastic pool. Nice breakfast. So many good things for a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

This is the first hotel that I've been to in the post COVID era that has returned to servicing the rooms on multi-night stays. I didn't even have to ask. They have a nice restaurant and bar attached as well. Great service from the friendly people working there

Rooms are spacious with excellent customer service. Climate control is convenient for those traveling from areas with different average temperatures. Parking is perfect, being that guest vehicles can be parked near the many exits. This parking accommodation makes coming and going much smoother for hotel guests. It's a pleasant place to stay with a state-of-the-art restaurant. I'll return when in town again!

Very clean and comfortable. Loved the breakfast at their restaurant. Staff can be just a little more friendly. Service should be with a 😃 smile.

I literally about 45 seconds ago spoke on the phone with the woman working the front desk on 9/22 @ ~3pm. I think it was Kay or Kate (embarrassing but I forgot it in that minute). She was so nice. So helpful. Easily figured out what I was looking for and helped me out. I don't even care what the room looks like when we go to stay there Saturday. She was awesome and if she is any indication of the people they employee/how this location does business then I am sure the stay will be a-ok.

One night stay, clean quiet desk attendant was very cordial and helpful. Have stayed at the Amsterdam castle over the past few years but the price is now ridiculous. Holiday is much more affordable and comfortable.

Very, very clean hotel. I am certain it gets a lot of traffic, being the only decent hotel in the town, but you would not know it. Beds were comfortable, rooms were very clean, bathrooms are a bit small, but adequateand with good amenities. Good television. Very quiet. The lobby is located a fair walk from the rooms, which is a bit strange, but no big deal for me.
