Can’t speak highly enough about the service at this location. The staff is truly knowledgeable on their product and are always helpful. Special shoutout to Emily for assisting my mother and I with our Barbour needs. My only wish is that the company itself would expand to 3XL, or Big & Tall sizes as most offerings are a bit snug for me (6’4, 280lbs for reference). Gold standard in customer experience.

Jim was exceptionally helpful. He told me of both fly tying and fly fishing classes that will be offered. It was nice to shop in a store with helpful people.

I was actually a little reluctant about going into the store, I am brand new to fly fishing and thought they would be snooty or not receptive to lots of newbie questions. Nothing could be further from the truth. Everyone I’ve met is very friendly and helpful, lots of good advice about gear and techniques and what flies work well on local waters. And my 2 dogs are always welcome and look forward to the treats. Many thanks to Jim and his team! Tight lines!

Despite a negative review about Jim, he took his time with me buying my first fly rod. Took me out to the parking lot to try multiple rods of what felt good and pretty much give me a basic lesson on fly casting. The new fishing manager there is extremely knowledgeable and picked the right nymph to catch several brown trout that day. Been there at least 10 times and the service every time has been top notch

The crew is outstanding!! They are all super helpful and knowledgeable about fly fishing and out local waters. The group outings have always helped my technique, especially the spey classes.

Love it!! Keep it up! Orvis is a great addition to Rochester and has brought a ton of people together.

Jim and Brandon were incredibly kind to my son and I. We took the fly fishing 101 course. Brandon and Micah were great instructors and very patient with us.

High quality, great staff. Good selection. The one image if of the floor which is made of trucked in pebbles and epoxy. People come to just see that. Orvis also donates back to the environment and is a business partner with Trout Unlimited who meets there on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (open to join!).

Really nice and knowledgeable staff. Solid selection of fly fishing rods/reels/flies and ancillary supplies. Like most quality products... definitely not cheap. Staff has been extremely helpful.

I have always felt right at home walking in this store. Being greeted everytime by the kind and knowledgeable staff has been so great. Signing up and taking the classes has improved my skills and im catching a lot more fish. Recently taking the afternoon spey clinic was great, and im definitely hooked. I hope to attend more spey classes in the future by the orvis team.
