Johnstown Public Library

Spacious, modern library in an elegant building. Computer terminals for research on-line. Check-out for DVDs and magazines. Friendly, knowledgeable librarians. The Fulton County Libertarian Party (of which Gloversville's future mayor Dale McGrath is a member) regularly meets here in a basement conference room.

Everyone is SO friendly ad helpful. They certainly "bend over backwards" to try to be helpful. I love all the materials, artwork. books of display and lots of seasonal material, etc. I am certainly grateful to have this resource as a part of Johnstown!!! Smiles, YM

I am an elderly person who moved to Johnstown 5 years ago. At first I had no cell phone, internet or cable TV. I could go to the library and get online and communicate with my family. I could check out movies from their collection and watch them at home on my computer. I was working on college courses at this time and I could go to the library and complete my week's work. I became very fond of the kind people who work at the library. My experience at the library really enriched my life especially the first couple of years. One of the Librarians had a foreign film each month and I began to really look forward to this event. Of course covid has stopped many of these things. Our library accepts donations in the spring of baskets for a fundraiser. You can purchase tickets for the baskets of your choice and many beautiful baskets and wonderful gifts are donated every year. We have a great and beautiful Carnegie Library that has been restored in excellent taste. I think it's easy to see how much the Johnstown Library means to me.

My very first time to visit this Library the front desk person was very nice and gave me some good information. I asked about their Wi-Fi there.

Johnstown library has always been a fantastic library for children and adults!They have so many programs for children,my daughter who is 18 has the most wonderful memories because of this library!We love the staff ! Thankyou for being there for Johnstown and it's people!

We always LOVE the Johnstown library! The librarians there are so friendly! I called today to request specific books for pick-up and they had them ready when we arrived.
