Mysteries on Main Street

The little jewel in the midst of Johnstown is one of the very few shops left, it's great that this shop is for everyone to enrich there minds.

My husband and I recently discovered Mysteries on Main St. in Johnstown, NY.
They have a nice selection of many topics, along with several small gift items. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. I found several books that I had been looking for, so enjoy browsing a very nice bookstore!

This is wonderful local shop with great inventory and exceptionally helpful staff. The children's section and local section are both especially good. If they don't have something, they'll happily order it for you and the turnaround time is usually reasonable.

Aside from books in every genre, this place also carries toys, games, jewelry, plushies, and other stuff. They also host events through the year, which are always worth a visit.

A great shop with more than books. Great little gifts for tourist to buy. Wonder woman who works there, very friendly and polite. Tons of books but if they don't have what you are looking for then she will order it. I'll be shopping there from now on for my books!

This is an amazing book store! I cannot say enough just how incredibly helpful the staff is and how knowledgeable as well. There more than just a bookstore. They are a big part of this community. Where else can you go and have a staff member read a story to year child?

Love this bookstore. My family and I stop in whenever we are visiting from out of state.. I can always go in and find something I have been looking for and find something I wasn't looking for, but definitely need/want.

Cute store with some neat gift items and they are willing to order for you if they don't have the books you are looking for.

Great local book store. They went out of their way to help my son get a book he wanted for a gift. Their prices are comparable to big box stores which makes it even easier to shop local.

Wonderful selection & staff!! Absolutely love shopping here. If they don't have a book in stock they order it for You & it only takes a few days to come in.

When your looking for that something extra it's a great place to find little knick knacks along with a great book selection.

First time in and the layout and selection was interesting and varied. Small store but a lot of heart and options. I should have visited sooner. Support local, especially book stores.
