Lau's Czech Bakery

Friendly service and very tasty donuts. Nicely displayed baked goods, fun stuff on the walls and a kids show on TV made it a great location for a fun morning with my niece. The eclairs that I brought home were just a little on the stale side, but those are pretty touchy that way so I wasn't terribly surprised.

Great small town friendliness, lots of selections, great prices. I don't get down to New Prague very often(been years) but when I'm in the areaI, I stop here for the poppy seed kolaches YUM

Small town gem, and incredibly fresh and delicious baked goods especially donuts. SKIP THE GAS STATION and drive down the street. Wonderful service that you will not get at the big chains.

My must-stop place in New Prague. Great location on Main Street. Cute bakery with dining counter and tables. Conventional American lunch menu. Great lunch items, wonderful bakery. Bakery includes donuts of all kinds, kolaches, unique breads and buns. Only Czech food on menu was goulash, but not really Czech kind though. I would call this Americanized-Czech. My daughter in law is from Czech Republic and does not feel it is authentic, but she is a tough critic. I will always make the stop, worth it! And when there, shop a bit on Main Street!

Cute bakery/restaurant with friendly staff. Bought a variety of donuts and they were all delicious. The mocha bars are to die for! We live about a hour away and will definitely be back!!

Cute with quantity. Helped me in a pinch with 2 dozen donuts when no one in 15 miles had enough stick.

Quality of product was phenomenal.

They do need better signage, I drove past it twice...but that may be on me.

Fabulous local bakery. Going inside is like stepping back in time to the 1960s/1970s in the best possible way. You can sit at the counter to enjoy a donut and coffee or get lunch after 10:30. Be aware that like several New Prague businesses, it’s closed both Sundays and Mondays.

Old school environment is wonderful! Really enjoyed this place.

Love this place. Dine in is wonderful. Bakery is great. Nice hometown feel. Kolachky's are what bring us here, but the rest is great. Have daily lunches specials at a great price. Staff and servers are so friendly. Kids are happy to b to every time.

Great spot for a quick tasty lunch. Grab an apple turnover while you are at it. Wide variety of eating choices. Everything is good! Patty and Doug say so!

oh Lau's How much I love this gem of a place. Seriously best Donuts and pastries around and its in a straight up small town diner type place thats been there since the beginning of time. Test this place out and prove me wrong. never happen. GO HERE STAT, unless you hate friendly home town places with reasonably priced delicious food, then don't.

I received wonderful treatment at Lau's, with the staff telling me about any pastry (that they prepare the same day) that I asked them about. They have cheap prices, a very loving atmosphere, and are located in a very easy to see location on Main Street. I'd gladly go again!
