Tom's Oyster Bar

Our server Emoni(I think I spelled it wrong) was amazing. She was very informative about the menu. She was always asking if we needed anything and kept our water glasses filled. When the food came out, I was a little disappointed that the fried oysters were not hot, but they were still delicious. The Rockefeller Oysters had more bacon and cheese than oyster. You can never go wrong with a tequila shot . The passion fruit margarita I would not recommend. The seafood jambalaya was spicy, but there wasn't enough sausage or shrimp in the order for the prices they are charging. Overall, I would definitely go back.

Visited Tom's Oyster Bar for their Lobster Lover Menu. This is available for the month of February. I tried the Love Potion #9 cocktail - it comes with dry ice so it is very pretty when served and it is sweet, so a very lovely drink to start the meal with. Oysters are always served fresh here and a must order if you are dining in! We tried the Lobster sushi roll, and lobster roll, I actually lik the sushi roll better thanks to the spicy sauce so I recommend going with that to share if you only want one. The Surf and Turf is a big portion, fresh Maine Lobster which was the star of this dish. The Sirloin steak was alright but frankly I ordered this for the Lobster, which I really enjoyed. The Lobster Tacos we tried was great too and another dish I would recommend.
We also ordered the Lobster and Waffles Tower, not quite a true dessert, but it came with hot honey to pour over and it just works as a whole with the waffles and fried lobster+shrimp. Overall, if you want an OTT dish that dazzles and tastes great, order this!

We went here for a pre-holiday dinner and it hit the spot. It's cozy inside and there were multiple holiday cocktails available. The rotating chef special menu was outstanding. I had scallops which melted in my mouth. The Rockefeller oysters were exactly what I was expecting! Highly recommend making a reservation on open table to ensure you get a table.

Stopped in for Lobster Lovers and received amazing food and service! Our server, Lacey, and the managers went above and beyond to make sure we had a great dinner. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

Tom's Oyster Bar offers an excellent surf & turf experience, and the service was above and beyond. The atmosphere is also great. Don't forget to try their amazing key lime pie for dessert! Highly recommend!

The food tastes amazing! You have to try the crab cakes and alaskan king crab legs. Once we were seated, we were greeted by our waitress, who was quick and efficient. She offered us a Spanish coffee to start, which I thought was nice. The staff works hard here to make it a great experience for you, and for that, we will most definitely be back! Beautiful place as well.

Okay so this place is really amazing! The food was really good! Like great! And oh my goodness the Oysters!! Too tier! The staff was so friendly and cool I loved everything! Adding to my rotation! The crab cakes are phenomenal and meaty okay! They are not stingy at all! Probably the best I’ve had so far! I found the location convenient for me parking was easy and the whole experience overall was 10/10

My daughter and I went for Lobsterfest. Had a great meal with fantastic service.

Browns someone here to celebrate her birthday. It was a great choice. Everything was cooked perfectly and flavorful. As long as the person you are treating is happy, you have done your job right. Thank you! One note, the lobster rolls are a little dry, as opposed to the buttery Lukas lobster rolls I’ve had in Tokyo and Massachusetts.

Went to Tom's Oyster Bar last night and sat outside. The food, service and atmosphere were all first class! It was an enjoyable dinner and we'll be back again soon!

I've heard a ton about this place so I was really excited to try it out! Really amazing food, I especially loved the soup I got. We were able to get outdoor seating despite being walk-ins on a Sunday afternoon which was amazing. Our waiter was super nice, as was everyone else. Definitely coming back in the future to try some of their cocktails out.

August 2022 - came here on a double date. They have a bar and outside seating. Great place and food was good. I ordered the Perch dinner and it was good. Wish I had more potatoes and coleslaw. We did the Salt Life Sampler. Shrimp was good. Wife ordered the Berried Treasure and she liked it. Comes with smoke from the dry ice. I highly recommend you come here and try it once.

I have been going to Tom 's and Terry's Terrace for 40 years. Now with the new owner they are better than ever thank you for saving them. We love the lobster rolls and calamari always consistent.
At Tom's we were happy to meet there new bartender Sheena she is a breath of fresh air so friendly along with great service. Can't wait to go back.

Downtown on Main Street in Royal Oak, Michigan. It's just a shame that you can't find help for a restaurant. This place was fine, except for lack of wait staff, but after a couple of Tito Bloody Mary's, who cares..😹🙃. We went for a brunch, a little overpriced (for us), but the food was good. We had oysters, then breakfast. Only 1 piece of toast per breakfast, odd but okay... We had Chicken fried steak, eggs, American fries, thick cut bacon. The "best" was the oysters on a half shell.

Tom’s is always a great place to visit cause the food never lets you down. February is one of the best times to go because they have amazing lobster specials. I had the lobster and waffle tower and it was amazing. The sauce delicious and for a seafood place they make the perfect waffle!!! The lobster bisque was yummy and the drinks…I could go JUST for those. It gets busy in there and I can see why. Really good experience.

Updated: still excellent! Loved that they have about 6 Michigan wines on the menu! Super good as usual. Got the lobster rolls, light with a touch of tarragon. Hubby had shrimp and grits, they didn't disappoint! Yum 😋 new pics jambalaya and lobster roll. Don't like the copper table tops all I smell is metal.
