Loretta's Dance Boutique and Ballroom

This place gave me the right pair of shoes the first time I went after an extremely bad fit for my first pair of pointe shoes, Loretta made me feel like I could tell her when I thought something didn’t feel right which the other place I went did not. I really only got yelled at, at the first place when I tried to voice my concerns. Then along with that I tried on some Leo’s, she made me feel so comfortable in my body and happy with the things I picked, this sounds really stupid but I don’t really remember a time where I was that comfortable in my body with other people around, with a Leo on no less. I 100% recommend this place is honestly perfect.

Been shopping for dance shoes here for years. Loretta and her staff really know how to fit shoes CORRECTLY. They are experts and have been in the business for quite some time. Do not shop for dance shoes online. They will never fit as good as when you try and buy them in store. Great, friendly service. The fashion clothes are lovely, too. Unique and classic pieces that last a long time.

My partner and I had the pleasure of taking a private lesson at Loretta's Dance Boutique. The studio was great, the people dancing were non judgmental, and Loretta was so kind and accommodating. Our teacher, Tiffany, was outstanding! She was so kind, informative, and patient with us. The entire experience was phenomenal. As someone with two left feet, I highly recommend Loretta's Dance Boutique. My partner and I will absolutely be returning!

Loretta's is great. They have been doing this forever and Amazon is not substitute for experience when it comes to choosing dance gear, especially shoes. I drive over 30 minutes and it is always worth it.
Edit: 11 months after my first review. During COVID Loretta is as valuable as ever. She is actually getting all the store calls to her cell phone and will schedule appointments with customers at their convenience along with her regular hours. There is no substitute for her passion and experience. I am grateful she is still here doing her thing.

Loretta is a fitting GENIUS!! She is so dedicated to customer satisfaction - I am an extremely hard to fit dancer and she went over and above every single dance store I have ever been a customer of - combined. She is so full of life, and obviously loves what she does. It shows in the quality of her work; she is a perfectionist! Everyone working there is extremely helpful as well. I cannot recommend Loretta's Dance Boutique highly enough!

I have taken numerous group ballroom dance classes at Loretta’s, attended group dance parties, made purchases in the Boutique, and recently rented the Studio for a party. I couldn’t be more pleased with the studio, instructors and Loretta. Most people aren’t aware that the Studio is available for rent, which is a shame, because it’s a really nice venue with a very large dance floor and Loretta does an excellent job setting things up. It’s also an excellent location. I couldn’t have been more pleased with everything that was provided - including a VERY good sound system.

About 18 months ago I was on the proverbial hunt for the perfect pointe shoe for my daughter. It found myself making calls on a Sunday afternoon all over the USA and everyone was closed, except for one Loretta at Loretta's Dance Boutique and Ballroom. Actually, they were closed but Loretta happened to be there and she answered the phone.

I told her I was looking for a specific shoe and while she didn't have the shoe, she started asking me questions about my daughter and why I chose the shoe I was hunting down. I described my daughter's foot and she was a bit skeptical about the shoe I requested. She mentioned that she would like to see some pictures of my daughter's foot and she also asked questions that I had no idea about. Loretta was so patient with me.

She told me she was a master fitter. She told me she could take my answers, look at my daughter's feet, take the information about the pros/cons about other shoes we've worn and most importantly, she could fit my child. I spoke to her a few days later and gave her the info.

Within the next week, we had the shoes and low and behold, THEY FIT! My daughter's dance instructor was happy and she asked how we were fitted. I told her that Loretta in Michigan fitted her over the phone. She laughed and said that she remembered Loretta coming to her Summer Intensives when she danced. She said Loretta was the BEST.

Well, my daughter has 'graduated' to getting her Russian Pointe shoes custom made. We call and make the request and the order is placed. We once tried purchasing locally and sadly the shop didn't have the same customer service standards as Loretta's. So, back to Loretta's we went.

We order 4 pairs at a time, we make sure we don't wait to the last moment so we've been okay. When I forget what type of ribbons we need, they call and remind me.

What I like best about Loretta's is that although I live in Manassas, VA, they treat me as if I'm local. Every single person on their team is wonderful!!! Their customer service and attention to detail is the best and I feel so fortunate to have found them. You will too!!!!

I am very pleased with the order I placed with Loretta's Dance Boutique and Ballroom. I spoke with a lovely lady on the phone who took my order. The pointe shoe I ordered was on back order, which I understood, so I was pleasantly surprised when my shoes and ribbons arrived about two weeks later. I will be ordering from Loretta's again. I gladly give them five stars!!

This dance store is absolutely amazing! They truly care about giving the best and highest quality products to the customer. I purchased a pair of pointe shoes back in August from these sellers and I could not imagine buying anywhere else for my dance needs! This dance studio and boutique is a gem for anyone who wants to dance. The dance parties are perfectly paced with a group lesson and an open dance floor for practicing your dance steps with smooth and Latin numbers. The boutique is stocked with gorgeous clothes and shoes. Loretta is charming. We had a lovely time and plan to return to learn, dance, and dress for our ballroom pleasure.

Loretta 's is great for fitting shoes. I have gotten a couple pairs of ballroom shoes here and Victoria is very good at knowing which brands and styles are best for your feet. They will not sell you shoes that don't fit properly.

Imagine living clear across the country - Reno and still shop in Michigan. Yes, it is possible when you cybershop at Loretta's Dance Boutique. I'm an amateur dancer for a charity fundraiser for veterans. Desperately needing to spend time shopping for my dance shoes and outfit.....but also a busy Mom every weekend at a Regatta out of state. Regatta and dressed to impress in one day??? Yes, God blessed me. I found Loretta's 5 minutes from St. Mary's Regatta. Solid shoes and beautiful skirt! Thank you for your patience ladies. You rock!

I love going to Loretta’s Dance Studio because it is a fun and friendly environment. I take private lessons, and attend several of the dance classes offered in the evening. I meet a lot of new people and the teachers are exceptional. The dance floor is large and easy to dance on. I’ve danced at several other ballroom studios, and this is by far my favorite!

Nice variety of leotards. Staff was super helpful in getting the correct pointe shoe. Brought my dog with me because we were heading up North and the staff even took the time to get her water on such a hot day. Definitely will visit the store again very soon!

For me, taking Loretta’s Barre Fusion class has been transformational! I had been looking for a fun workout that would create results and what I found was so much more!! I have not only lost inches around my waist, butt, thighs, and hips, but the techniques taught in this class are improving my posture and helping to create a stronger, leaner, more toned physique which in turn is helping to heal old injuries. Best of all I am loving it!! The class also incorporates dance, so I am also learning a variety of dance steps. Again, this class is transformational! In addition to dance shoes and attire, the Boutique is always filled with stylish non-dance clothing from quality designers. I would shop here even if I didn’t take classes!! As an added benefit, I have made new friends with other students, Loretta, and her wonderful team and staff.

I exercised with Loretta for 20 years. We moved a few years ago and the hardest thing was that it was too far away from Loretta.
The classes were hard work and you sweat, but have fun at the same time. And her clothes in the boutique are fabulous.
I am sure the ballroom dancing is excellent, but I have not done that.
