Crew and Boss Eye Associates

I would highly recommend. All the staff was kind, courteous, friendly and very helpful. Dr Platz was very respectful, listened to me and was very explanatory in answering my questions as was the rest of the staff too. I had an examination from a different ophthalmology that was referred by my medical doctor and it was not a good experience and I could tell my prescription was not correct. Frustrated with that place, I went back to Crew & Boss, where I had gone in the past, and was very much pleased. I should have gone here in the first place. I don’t plan on ever going anywhere else again. The Howard City office definitely get 5 stars from me.

Great staff

My dad recently called to see if they were accepting new patients. The receptionist that answered was immediately rude and dismissive, before he even had a chance to share more info she was annoyed. This is how she worded her questions to him “so do you have insurance? What are you even looking for? Can I get some more info?” It was just very rude and she was clearly letting him know she wasn’t interested in spending time helping him. When he said he has Medicare (in addition to other insurance
coverage) she immediately told him they are not accepting new patients. Good to know that they do not care at all about patients and are more interested in how they’ll get paid (and little does she know that even with no insurance at all my dad could 100% afford to pay out of pocket). It honestly is fine that they aren’t accepting new patients, that wasn’t the problem. The issue was with her immediately rude tone and demeanor and her abrupt change in attitude when she heard “Medicare”. What she doesn’t know is that my dad struggles with memory and cognition and this was him making a real effort to care for himself and the fact that he was met with disdain was hard on him. So yeah, I’ll be very sure not to recommend this place to anyone!
