Vet's Ace Hardware

I've been doing business with these guys for 13 years and have never walked out of the store without a solution. Phenomenal people that really know a lot about a lot of things. The only drawback is the store is extremely intensely filled with everything imaginable. You have to seek help to find what you want. But there's a good chance they have it. Love this place.

I had such a difficult time finding the right door hinge for an exterior patio door. I was referred to Vets Ace Hardware hoping to find just the right hinge. I previously went to all of the big box stores around me and was unsuccessful in finding what I was looking for. I was referred to Vets Ace Hardware…the staff there was so welcoming and showed me a variety of hinges for way less than any store I previously visited. I drove from the Haslett area to North Lansing and would absolutely do it all over again! This store is incredible, they have all sorts of odd and ends, items you can’t find anywhere else. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you Vets Ace Hardware! I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing hardware store! Went in to buy a replacement for the cheapo part that came with the bidet I broke and the geniuses helped me cobble together something that worked! I'm telling you, these guys are wizards!! I've learned, go here FIRST!

Great place to go for hardware items

It's sort of the opposite of a modern hardware store. You bring in a broken part, and the owner goes tramping into the back where he finds ancient stock matching whatever you brought in. He knows all the language, and the history, as long as it doesn't involve any electronics beyond resistors and wires. These people definitely don't have an app.

They specialize in obsolete and out-of-date parts. Their prices aren't especially good, so you wouldn't buy building supplies for a large project. But if you're looking to get a screen repaired, or a fan belt, or a hinge to match the set you've already found, this is the place.

This is the place you go after Lowe's has told you that you should throw out what you're trying to repair and buy the modern version of whatever it is. I bet they can make duplicate keys for locks that were installed before World War I.

There are a lot of fun, but they are not engaged in genuine commercial business.

Every time I've ever been there I had a specific need... They always have what I need at good to reasonable prices, Best part is the customer service! Very friendly people with an extraordinary knowledge of the location of all of the contents in the store! The store has virtually everything! I have NEVER been there when they didn’t have what I needed or didn’t know where I could go to find it! Definitely an old time hardware store! 8 stars out of 5 in my experiences!

Great family Store..throwback - has knowledgeable staff, keys made here (not a kiosk), a lot of items you can't find anywhere else (from a single item to multiples), friendly, helpful...stop in - just visit..buy something to help preserve this Gem of a store.

I always receive great service when visiting Vet’s but this time was exceptional! I stopped in to purchase some cut plexiglass for a beetle tank I’m making. I was fortunate to be helped by a knowledgeable gentleman. He not only took the time asking questions about how I want my final result to look but he also was extremely helpful and offered wonderful suggestions to ensure my project was a success. For example, I didn’t take into account the thickness of the panels when I figured my measurements, or that having a thicker base then the rest of the panels would make for a sturdier structure. He could have just taken my measurements, cut the plexiglass to size and left it at that, instead I received excellent customer care.

You’ll know exactly what to expect every time any time of day when you walk right in after plenty of parking and easy to find central location. I’ve never been there when someone hasn’t acknowledged you within 15 seconds from anywhere in the store(something I always look forward to along with the delighted to see you ambience).
Vets always has everything an Ace store should cary and tons of individual items & products that you could spend any extra hours of your day wandering about getting up new ways to your projects at home or your business or jobs. It has totally remained that same go to first routine place with the easy in easy out without the franchisey
way some others went into.
If I could just make it all happen here id never step in Lowes again.

This is the only hardware that Lansing has left, it's truly a one of a kind. They advertise that if we don't have it, you don't need it!
But most likely they will have what you need , sometimes the products are a bit pricey, but the helpful staff & having what you need is worth it.

Another trip in today. I feel at home here. The visual. The smells. The warmth comfort all bring the "home" to hardware.
If you need any type hardware supplies they probably have it. Just to walk through the aisles and see all of the items both common and unusual. Framing, cutting, glasswork and more.👍🏾
Convenient. Endearing with personable subject matter experts are phenomenal. Each encounter is relatable and comfortable. You all are loved. ❤
There's even a selection of seasonings. Try the Meat Church rub/seasoning!

They have almost everything and anything in that building!! Its hard to go in and out fast. I always spend time looking at things I didn't know I needed.. lol

What an all around amazing helpful crew. My goodness! I forgot people could be that nice and helpful this day and age!! I went in there for a mower and my gosh! The manager was so extremely helpful and even sold me on a future mower down the road. Told me they offered mower rentals even!! What?!?! I didn't even know that was a thing. I also needed help repairing a hole in my wall and was lead in the best possible direction with tons of tricks and tidbits of information on how to. I will literally drive out of my way JUST to go to Vet's Ace Hardware on the NorthSide. 10/10!!

They have it all and knowledgeable people to find exactly what you need

A good old time hardware store nice people in there very helpful so far every time I've gone in I've gotten what I want I can't ask for anything more than that prices are reasonable

If you're a do-it-yourselfer. Then Vets hardware is the place you should be. They are jamb packed with about everything you can think of and the sales people are very knowledgeable and helpful. I give them kudos.
