JAX Northside Food & Spirits

Extremely good, flavorful restaurant right off the main drag and golf course in Charlavoix. All of our food was perfect from the wings, to the pasta, and the burgers. Would highly recommend if your driving down the western coast of Michigan.

Super nice people. Great location. Beautiful place. They let us have our dog on the patio, and then move inside (no dog) because of rain. And we're super accommodating and just good people! Highly recommend! Oh yeah... good was good too! Lol

First off, the atmosphere was warm and relaxing. It was clean and the music was awesome!! The food?? Even better! I ordered the Western Burger. The thing was huge! Cooked to order which, for me is rare. The service was excellent too! I was seated immediately. I was torn between the Rueben and the Western Burger. The waiter suggested the burger!! It was spot on!! I will definitey spread the word, and will be a returning customer!!!

Stopped in while traveling. My husband and I happened to stumble in at happy hour which was awesome! We split a couple of appetizers and then got drinks and split a meal. There was only 1 waitress taking orders and making drinks on the bar side and she hustled. The restaurant got busier as we were enjoying our food and she never missed a beat. Great food and service.

EXCELLENT..Their Hostess was top notch..ended up being our server, as our original server was...not ...in the mood...lol to serve....food was amazing...dessert was amazing...she was amazing! Highly recommended.

My best friend and I went in to eat last night. We couldn't get a take-out order, as they aren't doing take-out orders during their dinner rush. So we decided to go in. I'm so happy we did.

We had a fantastic meal. I had Cherry Chicken Salad and my best friend had the Cod dinner. Both were fantastic.

What helped this meal, was the service. We had a beautiful, peppy, friendly, personable and very informative server. Her name was SAICHELL. She was such a joy. If anyone wants a server that is very attentive, friendly and all around amazing. I would say ask for SAICHELL. We just met her last night but the next time I go to Jax, I'll be asking for her!!

Thank you SAICHELL for being a joy to our evening.
Jax...you've got a gem. I hope you know that.

Linda was absolutely amazing!! I loved her sense of humor. Had the Cherry Chicken Salad, I would highly recommend it!

Really nice local restaurant for the whole family. They have seating at the bar, dinning room, screened in porch and out on the patio. Food and service was real good.

Great experience. We went with a large group after a soccer game and the series and food was great. We will go again.

The food, wait staff and atmosphere was outstanding!

Went to Jax for dinner, sat on the patio, nice cool weather, sunny evening. I had the Tuna Tataki

Food, service and atmosphere were great! Stopped in for lunch and enjoyed a great brisket sandwich and "special" coffee.
Prices were very reasonable, which makes it all the more reason for me to plan another visit soon!

The Mae Soy Shrimp was so delicious that I'll be dreaming of it til my next visit!! 😋 If you love shrimp, do not pass on this appetizer!!!! Sweet, spicy, plump, juicy shrimp. Yummmmmmm

Our third visit to Jax in the last few years did not disappoint. Food is delicious, portions are large and prices are very reasonable. Our server Krista was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back. Only downside was noise level was a little high.

Wow! What a gem of a restaurant! They actually have a salad bar, included with your dinner! And everything was fresh and cold on the salad bar!
For our dinners, I had the fried shrimp platter with onion rings and broccoli. My husband had the baked ziti. Both dinners were plentiful servings and delicious!
Our waitress was attentive and friendly.
Highly recommend!

I have traveled far and wide searching for the best corned beef and the Ruben is by far the best I've had in a while! Our server was also great!

Great food and service. Great atmosphere. Awesome, small salad bar. Love the croutons and blue cheese dressing!

We had an excellent dinner here. The service was great, the food was great, friendly attentive staff, what more can you ask for? They have an old school salad bar with fresh ingredients, well stocked and it was clean!! I wouldn't hesitate to stop here and eat.

Awesome burger, and onion rings. Very friendly staff. make sure to try the homemade pudding
