The Argonne House

My husband & were there to celebrate our anniversary & enjoyed a really great time. They didn’t know we were celebrating & we still got the date table! 😂 We both had the specials & they were delicious. Sea scallops & the steak. We added grilled shrimp since they’re known for that. Besides an excellent meal our server Danielle was outstanding! She was very attentive & fun. Thank you to all for a great meal & fun anniversary celebration!

My husband and I were in Lake Charlevoix to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary for a few days. I saw this restaurant on Yelp that had good reviews. The menu looked like a good variety to select from. This restaurant exceeded our expectations. It had a warm, soft decor, spacious, exceptional, food, and exceptional service! We definitely plan on coming back the next time we are in town!

We had a fantastic dinner here. It’s a nice restaurant. Almost feels nicer than it is if that makes sense. Meaning it feels more dressy than it is. The bar is nice, good selection of drinks. Then there is the food. It’s really good! Everything everyone at the table had was well received. I got the famous shrimp. I will say I’m biased to steamed over fried. I would definitely go back. Left too full really but there are worse things! Get there early or be prepared to wait.

Went for my bf’s birthday and couldn’t have asked for better service and food. Shrimp was so meaty and fresh. The filet is so tender. And the fettuccine with vodka sauce had a lot of veggies, which I loved! Get a BOWL, not a cup for the chowder, you won’t regret. Very generous portions and even offered us birthday dessert.

One of my new favorite restaurants! This was our 2nd visit, and the shrimp were again fabulous! Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly! And the server was warm and friendly, and she treated us like family.
I highly recommend this restaurant!

No complaints staff was very friendly, nice size shrimp, good food portions we had steak mashed red skins asparagus with steam shrimp, and pan seared walleye with wild rice and asparagus, get complimentary Cole slaw and bread (so good) with oil, balsamic vinegar butter dish, very good would recommend, we were celebrating our 30 th wedding anniversary nice atmosphere! They serve brick oven pizza but we didn't try it

Fantastic food and service from start to end. Best cocktail of vacation. Fresh bread. "Best peanut butter pie I've ever had" Parmesan crusted whitefish, sirloin, and scallops were spectacular

I had the salmon with fettuccine tonight and it was great. The plate of food was twice the size of most restaurants and they offered a discount of $5 off on all fish dinners this evening! The service was excellent (Pattie) and the place was full... now I know why. We will return often.

Outstanding! Friendly and prompt service, lovely outdoor patio. And the food ... delicious! Incredible stuffed mushrooms were light and well seasoned, balancing crunch, herb and bacon. Generous Caesar salad was a crowd pleaser. The scallops were sweet, perfectly seared and incredibly fresh. The steaks were tender and seasoned well. The chef wasn't satisfied with the cook on one of our steaks and - without us asking - delivered an additional steak to our table. As you might imagine, it was cooked perfectly. We can't wait to return!

Chelsie was our server and she was great! Everyone that we came in contact with was professional. The food was excellent.
Our table had calamari , onion rings, steamed and fried shrimp, pizza, Michigan Pork chop, awesome coffee, and cheese cake!

Went there for our first time yesterday for a date night. We were impressed with the size of the menu, and the options involved with all of the top dollar menu items. It was cool to be able to go to a place where you knew you’d be getting excellent food, but in a more cozy environment than you may expect. Will be back for sure

We shared appetizers: crab cakes, white fish bites, cheese bread and spinach and artichoke dip. They were all fantastic! The service was warm and friendly. The fireplace was great and it was so clean. We will be going back soon.

The ambiance of The Argonne House is unmatched in Charlevoix/Boyne. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more. If you’re looking for a place to have dinner or drinks, look no further. I was especially impressed with the staff and the management. 5 stars!

We enjoyed two great meals here while we were in the area. From the hostess to Luz at the bar and Rebecca as a server we were taken great care of! They all deserve kudos! We will be sure to plan ahead with reservations next time we are in the area. The whitefish bites were great and incredibly fast and the pizza was superb. Liz makes a great Old Fashioned and Rebecca is just a fantastic server.

The grilled chicken with Alfredo, Broccoli, and Mushrooms is beyond amazing! Fresh and delicious! Hands down the best ever.

been coming here for 50+ yrs. The new buildout is great, service very fast and friendly. Shrimp is as good as ever along with their flagship coleslaw,warm bread, and reasonable prices for such dining. we'll be back.

If you are lucky enough to be Up North then be sure to go to The Argonne House. Yes they are known for shrimp but they have an excellent range of other choices from fresh salads to chicken to steaks, brick oven pizza etc. It's all good but if it's summer time, save room for the best strawberry shortcake in Northern MI. Definitely worth the drive a little out of town.

Great place, a little pricey though, 2 people won't get out with less than $100 with 1 desert and only water for drinks. Cole slaw was off, said cabbage was different this time.

Great dinner! Great waitress! The peanut butter pie was the most amazing thing we have ever ate! Whoever came up with the recipe of a chocolate no bake cookie for the crust took to the next level of greatness! This restaurant never disappoints. Thank you again for the wonderful service!

Both our meals were excellent. Our waitress Kelsey was very friendly and took really good care of us. We will definitely good again due to the food and great service from our waitress.
