Great staff. Some of the best I've ever encountered. Cool little off the grid place you may wanna check out. Great coffee. Food was awesome. And the whole place was really clean. Fairly priced. Worth stopping by.

What a great little coffee and sandwich shop! I was driving home from Frandor, badly in need of some coffee and starving for lunch. I spotted Urban Cup out of the corner of my eye and decided to turn around and check it out. I'm glad I did, what a fun little place. The gal that was working was great too. I had the Bacon - Avocado BLT as a wrap, with Cole slaw, and a Mocha latte. The wrap and coleslaw were fantastic! The coffee was ok, not the best I've ever had but better than Biggby or Starbucks. It's very small inside but a great place to stop in for lunch. They also serve craft sodas that all sounded like they'd be amazing, and Mooville ice cream.

I went here for the first time today and was blown away. To start, the staff was so friendly (shoutout Lesley and Chloe). Since it was my first time, they gave me suggestions based of my dietary restrictions (vegetarian) and my taste of coffee (sweeter). I got the Greek wrap without the chicken and added avocado based on Lesley's recommendation. It tasted great. Chloe suggested the Smores latte and it was exactly what I wanted. I sat in the Cafe for some time on my laptop (they offer wifi :)) and Chloe and Lesley were so friendly. They also had multiple regulars come in during this time and they remembered their orders; they clearly had built relationships with these customers.

I love this shop! Great baristas and amazing coffee! I'm a regular and enjoy seeing the same baristas on a regular basis. Their coffee is delish!

It is small and the seating can be uncomfortable after awhile because of the high tables, but I love stopping in for quick visits!

We loved it!!! We had tuna melts and pasta salad and they were awesome. Lady working (Said she was from Owosso) was super friendly and made great recommendations on what type of sparkling water drink to have. We are hooked and will be back.

Wow great place every time I visit, nothing here has been bad. From the chicken feta wrap to the rueben sandwich, and all the soups from the seafood chowder to the gumbo always delicious. The staff is always incredibly nice and so helpful. Their slaw sides are awesome. ALSO they got me into kombucha which I never thought I’d like till it was recommended to me.

This unassuming little place has so much to offer, but few people know it exists. It's a small space with small tables and chairs, but it offers something big-- locally roasted beans, hand crafted sodas, soups/salads/sandwiches made fresh by the soup spoon, and the most beautiful espresso shots I've had in Lansing thus far (and being a veteran barista from Milwaukee, I'm picky). The staff really tie this all together into a warm little place to slip away for some lunch, coffee, and conversation. I have been a loyal customer now for over 6 months. If you come here looking for extravagant perfection, you may be disappointed, but if you are looking for a down to earth experience with a little extra, this is the place.

The best espresso coffee in EL is in Lansing, right here at this shop. Yes, I should know what is good coffee; I had coffee in Seattle. I would go to the end of the Earth to find good coffee. All the time that I complained why the coffee in all the hipster shops in EL taste like coffee water (read: weak), I didn't know that this gem here exists. Strongly recommend.

The woman working let me know that she was the wife if the owner of Soup Spoon Cafe and that this restaurant has all of the Soup Spoon Cafe's soups, which made me very happy. Great vibe. A little small of a space, but good environment all-around. Good food.

The food is V.E.R.Y good! The tomato bisque soup is bursting with flavor. Our grilled cheese sandwich with tomato and basil was so good. I didn't get coffee, but tried a cucumber mint soda which I imagine would be just the thing on a hot summer day. I really need to go here more often.

Super friendly staff, fantastically diverse and fun food fare, just overall really great spot for a treat. I'm a big fan of the handmade craft sodas. Lemony lavender mint? Yum!

They have good drinks, they have coffee. Plus if your feeling ice cream they have them too. I got a mint and cucumber drink with seltzer my daughter got a cherry coke. First time I tried. I recommend trying.

Lesley is always so great . . . Awesome coffee, made to your liking sandwiches, homemade soup and exceptional service has made me a loyal regular of this spot. Come in and check it out . . . This place is a hidden gem - you won't be disappointed!

The owner was working, she was super friendly and cheerful. This is one of the best cafes in Lansing. A local joint you should certainly check out.

Lovely, friendly people, great coffee, looking forward to some future visits! They asked for my name and were very excited to hear I was from the neighborhood. I appreciate that they are adding food from the soup spoon, which is incredible. looking forward as they grow and get settled in.

Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Lots of options and good quality coffees and teas. Good snacks too!

Love being able to get my favorite Soup Spoon soup quickly. Only wish is that the seating would be cozier. Great service every time

Didn't even know this small place existed but is sure am glad that I visited it now. What it lacks in size it makes up for with a welcoming environment and some damn good coffee paired with a cinnamon roll or a muffin.

Leslie was our barista and she was awesome. Our coffees were immaculate and the food was delicious.

This is a great little place. It had fantastic soups and sandwich deals. My wife and I loved it. I had the corned beef sandwich and the seafood chowder. Delicious!
