Detroit style pizza! Hand thrown crust. Super fresh ingredients! Big flavors so delicious.

The inside seating is pretty…it could use a little “living” in…a little to perfect…needs a little wear and tear to make it feel like a cozy place…comfortable enough though

The service staff was very very excellent! Smiles and genuine caring!

Note the crust was perfect…the darkness comes from the honey they use…it’s not burnt…it’s perfect and delicious!

What a cute little shop. VERY homey, farmhouse style decor. They have one table that seats eight which they call their "Community Table," and the rest seat 2-4 people. If there is a wait for a table, they have a cozy couch area for comfort. They've really created a wonderful atmosphere.

The service was outstanding. The young lady providing our service was so friendly and kind. They've cultivated such a warm ambiance that even when there was a glitch, all was right with the world. Being my usual brainless self, I have forgotten her name. I really need to start WRITING them down. I get so involved with the food that other details get pushed aside. Shame on me.

Speaking of the food. SO delicious. Wednesday is their Detroit style night and the people who ordered pizza loved it. One ordered the Baddie, and two split the War & Pineapple. They are large and like me, the one who ordered her own, loves leftovers. I didn't go with pizza. I dined on two appetizers instead. The Loaded Focaccia Sticks, and the Bourbon BBQ Wings. The sticks are just amazing. They are LOADED with pepperoni. Little ones, but LOADED. They come with marinara for dipping but no need for it. The flavor is so good that I found the marinara actually detracted from the wonderful flavors already included. The wings a really meaty. No baby chickens used for these. The sauce has a little kick, but not too much. I like bleu cheese as a dipper with BBQ wings, but they only have ranch. Hang on. They have several different types of ranch - even have a flight so you can try multiples. I opted for the peppercorn and it was just a fabulous combination with the bourbon BBQ wing sauce. I only ate half of each item and brought the rest home, along with dessert: BB Cakes Brownie with a scoop of Mint Chip. Very rich. Had a few bites before bed.

Can't wait to do this again for dinner tonight!

I ordered a Detroit style pizza special (hot pepperoni on the rocks with a twist) and garlic Parmesan wings and had a spiritual experience. I ate it after a 15 min drive home, and the ingredients are so quality and the crust is so good that it felt fresh out of the oven. I have declared this Detroit-style pizza the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life. The flavor and crisp on the crust is to die for, and the creativity behind ingredients is stunning. I am not a big wings girl (my partner ordered them), but I had one— the wing meat was juicy and the garlic parm sauce was ridiculously good. And we ended the meal with a delicious Carrie’s Crispy. They carry different desserts from local Milwaukee small businesses, and they have a great variety. Do not sleep on flour girl and flame!!🔥

A MKE food truck favorite!! We show up wherever they are around the area. I'm not generally a wood fired pizza fan, but they are an exception. It's the honey on the crust that makes it a winner. They always have such amazing combinations of ingredients, love all the wild mushrooms they use and the dill pickle pizza was my fave. They are super popular so the lines can look long, but they are friendly and efficient, so the short wait is more than worth it. 2023 intention: visit their West Allis shop for Detroit style pizza.

Edited May 2023: Finally made it to the shop for a Detroit slice! Didn't think you could top the wood fired, but this slice was everything I hoped it would be and more! Plentiful toppings, soft, thick crust and crispy edges! AND!!! Maybe the best chicken wings I've ever eaten, I had the Hot Honey Buffalo ones and can't wait to go back to try the two other flavors. The space is super cute too with limited but nice seating. Five stars all around.

We have been wanting to try this place for a while now. We ordered a pepperoni pizza from their Detroit Pizza Night & an order of their cheesy garlic strips. Amazing! Honestly the review from the guy on here from a few weeks ago had me needing to place an order immediately. My husband and toddler picked up the order & he said everyone was so friendly & they were chatting with my daughter while they waited. I really appreciate that & it was such a good experience we will be forever coming here for our pizza nights. Women owned, local business, amazing pizza & staff. Five stars!

Let’s just keep this short and sweet, shall we. No more long drives to Madison or Door County for my vegan pizza fix. I’ve found the most amazing pizza not far from home. Did I mention it’s better than all the others around. Yes, the BEST VEGAN PIZZA AROUND. Delicious. Amazing. Incredible. Flavorful.

Made the trip to to the Pop-Up Beer Garden in Mukwonago. Beautiful staff. Friendly and kind. Enjoyed a lovely evening outside with my vegan pizza. <3

Folks, this place is incredible. The house made focaccia is amazing. Light and delicious. The war and pineapple pizza was great, perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The pizzas are deceivingly filling, the crust is thicker than I expected and cooked perfectly. Definitely will be back and highly recommended.

I came in with my girlfriend for a casual dinner on a Sunday evening. This was an excellent visit! They have a nice and unique menu with several great options. The quality of pizza was superb, and ingredients were fresh and delicious. I would also point some excellent beverage options with some unique beers.

I would say that the service was excellent and very prompt. They became quite busy for a relatively small place, but the kitchen made our food very fast, and their servers are very pleasant and fun!

I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to any fellow pizza connoisseur. I think pricing is also not bad.

Flour Girl & Flame does a great job of sourcing local and seasonal ingredients and always has a fun new special to try! Woman-owned, and staff have fun while making some delicious pizza. Love the new concept of Detroit slices in the shop with ice cream, while the sourdough pies are mobile at local events! The Detroit is so good — that caramelized cheese!

Wanted to try out a new pizza place so went here and so glad we did!

They do wood-fired Detroit style pizza on Wednesdays, so went with their special of the day - Herb's The Word: deep pan pizza with Wisconsin brick, mozzarella, cheddar, provolone cheeses, cup & char pepperoni, house red sauce, herbed ricotta, & fresh basil. Also tried their wood-fired cheesy garlic focaccia strips.

The dough was super pillowy with crispy edges and you can taste the freshness of their ingredients. Will be back again to try their regular style pizza!

It was a bustling Saturday night. Everyone front of house was hustling to take care of the rush. We had wings, cheesy bread, one regular crust pizza and two gluten free pizzas. The gluten free pizza tasted homemade and was the best we have ever had! The honey on the crust was mind blowing. So so so excited to have a local place to grab unique flavors on top of great pizza basics - like the crust and sauce. As another queer owned business in the community, we can’t wait to make this a regular part of our monthly routine. Supporting and sharing a welcoming place, who’s food practices and mission align with us. Thanks for existing :)

Small quaint pizza and beer setting. vegan_vegetarian friendly. Extremely fresh ingredients and suprise hiney drizzle, wow! Appetizers available. 1 size Medium pizza and gluten free available. Kale Cesar salad very tasty.

Delicious. We’ve had it a few times now and every pizza has been amazing. Service is great. They will be catering our wedding.

Wow. Just wow!!! Best pizza I’ve had in years. Definitely the best pizza you’ll get in Milwaukee, and probably in Wisconsin as well. I wish I could give this place 1 million stars! Wonderful customer service, very very cute place. My new favorite spot! Can’t wait to go again!!

We love flour girl in our house. They have the greatest gluten free crust and the dairy free cheese is actually good! You can’t beat the service. They made sure I knew which items were gluten free, and they were very gracious when I made a mistake on my order. One person working there even offered to carry the takeout pizza out to my car because I was holding my newborn. Exceptional.

Flour Girl & Flame wood-fired Detroit style pizza is out of this world! Best Detroit style pizza we’ve had this side of Lake Michigan to date. We tried the “Pep in your step” and the “Smolwaukee.” Both were incredible! Loved the foraged mushrooms on the Smolwaukee, great addition to the classic sausage, mushrooms and onion! This is elevated pizza at it’s finest. In addition to the delicious pizza, we had excellent burrata salad and cocktails to boot!

Have tried Flour Girl & Flame twice now, once at Zocalo food truck park and most recently at the Pier Garden at the Starling, both times have been consistently amazing!

Just finished the last bite of the pizza I ordered today. This is definitely a new favorite in our household. The customer service exceeded expectations! We were also very excited about them selling Sourdough bread starter. SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS

One of the best pizzas I've ever had 🤩 the sweet dusting of spices on the crust with the savory flavors from the toppings made my taste buds scream. I've been waiting to try fg&f for a while and will absolutely be ordering again!

Had this for the first time yesterday and it was excellent. Topping proportions were spot on and the crust was amazing. Highly recommended that you give it a try. Only regret is we live so far away so this can't be a "regular" for us. Bravo Flour Girl and Flame.
