Stage House Inn

Shoutout to Tegan, Gary and the Stage House team for helping my husband and I to have the wedding weekend of our dreams! Not only were the Stage House and Nealley House accommodations beautiful and comfortable, Tegan went above and beyond every single day to ensure we had a perfect stay - from the rehearsal dinner to the goodbye brunch. And the food was delicious! Can’t recommend The Stage House enough for anyone staying or hosting an event in southern Maine.

We booked a hotel block with the Stage House Inn for our wedding weekend, and they were absolutely incredible to us from the time we booked everything (1.5 years in advance) until the time we checked out. Jennifer Hill is the Event Manager and we were blown away by how phenomenal she is. She accommodated every single one of our needs, and she is just genuinely a lovely person to interact with. The bridal suite was spacious and provided a gorgeous environment for everyone to get ready in. They even delivered a wedding morning brunch to the suite for the bridal party to enjoy as we had our hair and makeup done. The hotel restaurant, Dufour, was completely delicious, and having a complimentary shuttle that drove our guests and the wedding party to and from our venue was extremely convenient. I highly recommend this Inn, especially for your wedding weekend!

We stayed at the Stage House Inn for the weekend of our wedding, along with our family and bridal party. We held our rehearsal lunch and a farewell brunch in their private dining room. It was such an incredibly beautiful, intimate experience to be able to share the entire inn with those closest to us. Our family and friends cannot stop talking about their positive experiences here, whether it was enjoying the delicious food or engaging in conversation while seated on the gorgeous porch.
The staff are what made our time at the inn so memorable. Whether it was the housekeepers, dining staff, or front desk staff, every single team member was genuinely kind, professional, and willing to go above and beyond expectations.
The rooms are stunning and unique. The bridal suite was the perfect place to get ready the morning of the wedding. We loved every part of our stay with the Stage House Inn and we can’t wait to return for future anniversaries!

The Stage House Inn made our wedding weekend so special. In addition to a room block, we also had our rehearsal dinner, a bridal brunch, and a day after wedding brunch at the Stage House. The rehearsal dinner food was amazing and it was so nice to have a beautiful private room during the event. I would love to go back! The bridal brunch was delivered to my room while I was getting ready and it was perfect! The day after wedding brunch was delicious and again it was so nice to have a private room to talk with our family and friends about the wedding. The staff at the Stage House (especially Jen!) was so friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing weekend. Last but not least, the White Heron Suite is absolutely breathtaking and I was so happy to have that as my bridal suite during my wedding weekend. I will definitely be returning for a stay, dinner and/or brunch!

Absolutely excellent customer service! The Stage House Inn is beautiful, and the White Heron Suite was magnificent. While we didn’t use it for a bridal suite, I could see it being really perfect for that. It looks even better in person than the photos. The staff were very friendly and helpful, you can trust that they will make your stay excellent.

We had our wedding down the street at Red Barn at Outlook Farm. We were able to have our entire wedding party, as well as some family stay at the hotel. The suites were spacious for getting ready and the rooms were cute and cozy for the guests. They put all our welcome bags in rooms so the guests had it when they arrived. They honestly just made it so easy for us. We also had a Rehearsal Lunch and Breakfast in the room and all the food was absolutely delicious.

Fell in love with this place & the staff!! Came for a wedding and blown away by the hospitality. The rooms are adorable & overall incredible. Bonus points for fantastic water pressure!! Thanks for such a great stay, hope to come back real soon!! Shout out to Gary for being awesome, appreciate the help!!

Just stayed the weekend at The Stage House Inn for a wedding and what a fantastic place! The facility itself is very nice and clean , my room was very nice and the bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed the food at the in-house restaurant Dufour and my meal was delicious. The staff was very accommodating with us, we had freinds show up close to there closing and they let us have another round of drinks and stayed a little past closing. Overall it was an amazing weekend and I had a great stay at the inn!

We booked out the Inn for our wedding weekend this past April, and it was the best decision we could have possibly made. From the moment we checked in, the Inn felt like home. First, for those who are getting married at the Red Barn at Outlook Farm, the partnership that both venues have with one another made our entire weekend fluid and relaxing. A few highlights:

Jim and his team displayed top-notch customer service and attention to detail throughout. We used the Inn to host our rehearsal lunch, and transportation to the Red Barn was complimentary for guests staying there. I highly recommend hosting the rehearsal there!! The food and drinks were delicious, the ambiance was perfect, and again the customer service was outstanding.

Both my fiance and I used the suites to get ready on the wedding day. The White Heron suite was perfect for getting ready - it comfortably accommodated my five bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and mother of the groom, and offered designated spaces for my makeup artist and hairstylist to set up shop.

Many of our guests were visiting from out of state (NJ and CT), so they took full advantage of Dufour's menu, including multiple dinner reservations and brunch. The menu is so so good. Just another compliment to the overall design and feeling that we had throughout the weekend.

Overall, we were so sad to leave, but grateful that the Inn provided us the chance to spend time with our closest family and friends in an intimate, comfortable, and beautiful setting. We can't wait to visit again!

We booked the Stage House Inn for our Aug. 2021 wedding at the Red Barn at Outlook Farm before we even saw the venue. Construction finished up in the Fall of 2020 and we were astounded at how beautiful the building and the accommodations were. We had the entire Inn booked for our wedding at the Red Barn at Outlook farm and the accommodations were absolutely perfect for our family and our wedding party! We worked with Gabrielle to plan the rehearsal dinner, room block, and a farewell brunch the morning after. Gabrielle made sure everything went off without a hitch and that we were always taken care of while we were there. If we had any questions during the planning process we were able to talk to her and hammer out all of the details. Our rehearsal dinner was beautiful and the food was delicious. We were able to host about 25 people for the rehearsal dinner and everyone enjoyed the food and company. The Sarah Frost room was the perfect size for our rehearsal dinner and did not feel crowded at all. On the day of, we were able to get ready in the Bridal suite, our makeup and hair vendors are still raving at how perfect the room setup was for getting ready! The Inn provided a shuttle service for our guests staying there to and from the venue which was perfectly timed to get everyone there on time. It was such a weight off to have that available to us and on call if guests wanted to leave early to go back to the Inn. The farewell brunch that we hosted at Dufour/ The Stage House Inn after our wedding was the perfect way to end our wedding weekend! The food was phenomenal and our guests were able to eat and mingle prior to hitting the road to go home. We highly recommend the Stage House Inn and Dufour for your wedding weekend events and accommodations!

I recently got back from a short trip to Maine, and stayed at the Stage House Inn. From the owner and staff being the loveliest/warmest people, to the rooms being extremely clean (and this is coming from a germaphobe), to the cozy bed that I didn't want to get out of in the morning. My experience was 10 out of 10 and I couldn't recommend this place more. The only complaint is that I didn't stay for another night. Can't wait to be back.

We are attending a wedding at Spring Hill Event Center and decided to stay at The Stage House Inn in South Berwick, Maine. What a GREAT decision. This freshly renovated Inn has 20 rooms, an outstanding restaurant (and menu) and the bar has a wonderful atmosphere. It literally feels like “home” here. Plenty of parking is available around back. The owner and staff are very attentive and friendly. We are from out of state but have family that live in nearby Dover. We normally stay in Dover but I think this will be our place of choice for future visits to the area. The rooms are individually designed and decorated and very clean and comfortable. You will not regret your decision to stay here!

This was a incredible Inn to stay at, we were the first customers that walked in since they opening up, how excited we were .The staff was be on friendly. Pam and Josh was so very kind to share the history of the Inn, very interesting indeed. I highly recommended this Inn, to stay at or evening a bite to eat. The food is is very good, we had just dessert and it was so pretty we didn't want to eat it, but of course we did. My honey brought me here for an early Valentine's day dinner. The place is beautiful and the food was divine! The service was also wonderful. I tried the Rabbit ragout and will certainly have it again after trying other things on the menu. A must try for anyone who enjoys excellent French cuisine.

The Stage House Inn is truly beautiful! We booked the hotel for our upcoming wedding in mid February and wanted to come down in advance and have a little staycation! The hotel did not disappoint. Each room is beautiful. From the unique finishes in each room, to the comfy beds, to walking downstairs to enjoy an amazing meal at Dufour! Can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful customer service - Ask for Jen, but everyone's super nice! The hanger steak melts in your mouth, and the Brussels sprouts are packed with flavor. Sip in the ambiance and enjoy your company in this beautifully restored farmhouse in the center of this sweet little family town!

If you are looking for a great place to have an amazing dinner look no further. I had reservations at Dufour, one of the nicest restaurants in the seacoast area. Our dinner meal was great, I highly recommend the crispy cauliflower along with the hanger steak. Service was very attentive and the overall restaurant atmosphere was very elegant. Great place to celebrate a special occasion.

My husband and I went to Dufour’s for dinner last night with friends that live locally. The renovation of this historic site in South Berwick, Maine is absolutely stunning and authentic. BUT! The best part of the evening was dinner!
The chef is professionally trained and the result was unparalleled. I had the Ahi Tuna entree was a blend of multi-layered flavors … well balanced and absolutely delicious!
The tuna was moist tender and cooked to perfection!
We will ABSOLUTELY go back any and everytime we are in the area.
Bravo!

The Stage House Inn is top notch. God smiled on South Berwick with this amazing establishment's arrival. The Dufour restaurant serving the Inn and the public at large is fine dining at its best. The staff is engaging, intelligent and efficient. The decor is very refined and relaxing. Our stay and dining was exquisite. I highly recommend!!

Recently stayed here for the week while on vacation. The rooms were clean and courteous. The staff were clean and courteous. Definitely not haunted. Delicious pastries in the morning!
