Karma Vista Vineyards & Winery

I stopped by Karma Vista very late in their season, just before they closed for winter, but I'm glad that I made the trip. First off, the view from their tasting room is just fantastic, and you can look over the whole area from there. If it weren't for the dunes, the lake would be visible. The staff was very friendly, and their recommendations for the tasting were quite good. All of the wines I tried were very pleasant, and I bought a few bottles to bring home. I'd definitely recommend dropping by if you enjoy wine and you're nearby, but the view alone would be a draw in my opinion.

Beautiful winery and Vinyard with a view overlooking the valley. Tasting room has local products for sale, including cheeses and jams. Wheelchair accessible and family friendly. Try the Valvin Muscat white wine, not to sweet, not to dry.

Visiting with the owners and having them show us out the window which vineyard produced the grapes was amazing. The best flavors in the wines we have sampled while in Michigan. We loved the personal touch.

When my wife and I were deciding what wineries we wanted to visit on our second visit to the local wine trail; Karma Vista was a no-brainer. The wines are great, and the view is fantastic.
During our third time doing the wine trail in 2023, Karma Vista was once again on the must visit list.

Phenomenal variety of wonderfully crafted wines. We drive 2 hours from our home several times per year to visit Karma Vista. Family owned; exceptional customer service. We always enjoy the conversation with staff and the owners (Joe & Sue) and learning about the growing techniques and grapes. Intimate and lovely setting with delicious and proudly crafted wines.

We absolutely love Karma Vista! We do wine tasting in the benton harbor/coloma area every year and this is definitely one of our favorites! The wine is amazing and the view is unmatched. They are also incredibly knowledgeable (my husband and I ask a lot of questions about the wine and vineyard).

Good wine, great people, but an amazing patio. We loved sitting out there watching the hawks and relaxing!

Very friendly owners and staff. We like many of their wines. We bought a Pink side of the Moon, in honor of Pink Floyd's 50th Anniversary of the Dark Side of the Moon.

The wines are excellent. Prices are great. This is a must visit!

A real gem! Serene, relaxing, very friendly customer service, lovely patio and fields where you can just lie down and sleep after wine tasting. Will be back again!

My wife and I were staying in the region but could only select one winery to visit, and we chose this one, and we couldn't be happier. I've seen the billboard for years and found the graphics interesting, and our in-person experience did not disappoint.

We arrived just after 11:00 AM on a Saturday in July. It was easy to find, and the property is pristine and serene. The owner, himself, greeted us and provided our pouring. He was friendly, engaging, and informative. We could have taken our samples outside and enjoyed the scenery, but we found the vibe inside to be as stimulating as Mother Nature.

Sometimes the hospitality and atmosphere of a Michigan Vineyard is compensating for average wine, but this was NOT the case here. My wife and I each sampled 6 different Reds, and they were all delicious. Many were award winning and brought a complex maturity that is usually associated with imports or California. I always like the wine I'm sampling at Michigan Vineyards, but I rarely choose to buy it when it's in a store, and I have other choices. This will NOT be the case with Karma Vista. I will look to buy this when I can, and we'll definitely stop the next time we're in the area. We bought a case, and we may have to have another one delivered when this one is gone.

Whether you're staying in the area, touring various wineries, or just passing through, a stop at Karma Vista will be well worth your time. They don't accept limos, shuttles, or busses, so only come if you're looking for something a bit more intimate and relaxed.

We visited on a beautiful Friday afternoon. Very nice views of the vineyard from the back deck. Enjoyed a nice tasting of mainly red wines. Happy that touch we were able to drink from wine glasses and not plastic cups which improved the wine tasting experience. Staff was very courteous and pleasant.

My favorite wine and vineyard in SW MI. The owners make you feel like you are valued and gives an elite experience.

Exceptionally personalized tasting experience! We loved our conversation with Joe Herman. He made us feel like the only guests in the tasting room even though there were dozens of other happy wine tasters. I highly recommend you check out Karma Vista Vineyard. I love their wines. The owners are wonderful and very helpful. You do not have to deal with crowds, as they do not allow buses and big groups like some other wineries. Prices for tastings and bottles are very reasonable. I always end up leaving with couple of cases. Must visit.

Wine is good for the area. Me and my wife like drier wines and there was some good offerings. Our friends like sweeter wines and they spoke very highly of their tastings. Owners are very friendly and have been there everything we have stopped by. The view from the deck is beautiful and makes for one of the better places to sit with friends and enjoy a glass.

My wife and I visited Karma Vista on 12 Sep 2014 and had a great time. Their wines were very good and Sue was both friendly and helpful. We enjoyed speaking with her about Karma Vista's history and our wine preferences.

She was also took time to offer us a map for the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail as well as directions and landmark identification for other interesting stops on the Wine Trail and general area. We hope to make it back soon.
