Phil's Bar & Grille

My goodness people if you haven't eaten here you're missing out. This place is absolutely amazing. The people are so friendly and kind. I had the fried bologna sandwich which was better than most restaurant's renowned dish. They also have the best fish tacos. My first time here and can't wait to come back. I would strongly suggest giving the chef a special thanks. Enjoy!

Great burgers and sandwiches. Bar atmosphere. Service was very good. Only drawback is the place in itself is very loud!

We ordered more than one meal just to try different foods, and every bite was delicious. Meals are proportional yet shareable. Even our vegetables were delightful rather than afterthoughts. Wonderful!

It is rare for my wife and I to be blown away by every dish that we order when we eat out. Usually, there is at least one item that is just "meh" compared to the rest of our order. At Phil's, everything on the menu seems to be a perfect version of that dish.

This time, we ordered the goat cheese appetizer, the chicken sandwich, and the blackened burger. All three were to die for. The service was also spectacular. All the servers and staff were kind, attentive, and personable. I also appreciated that they dressed casually. It gave the restaurant a more laid-back vibe.

There isn't much outdoor seating, but there are a few outdoor tables and we happened to get seated at one, which was fun. It looked a bit crowded inside, so I was glad we got a spot outside.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be returning myself.

Wry nice place. Had the special halibut with risotto. Very well done. Only thing halibut was just a little over cooked but that takes some experience to get right. Very good value for the meal. It is defiantly a bar experience was quite loud but not much they can do about that it’s just the atmosphere. Great service and good food. I’m sure the other good would have been amazing too! Maybe the tuna poke next time.

We tried Phil’s for the first time tonight. We started with the Tuna app and then I had the salmon and my husband had the Ribeye. The food was phenomenal. Our server, Katelyn, was excellent. The food was well paced. We never felt rushed and loved bed the neighborhood feel to this place. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Food, atmosphere, and cocktails! My boyfriend and I stopped in after we got into town for the weekend with many many recommendations to go here. We weren't disappointed at all!

Cozy, intimate, and chill vibe late on Sunday night. Service was on point, food was full of cheese and butter and deliciousness. Had so much fun eating and drinking wine and laughing with friends, staff, and other patrons that we ended up closing the place. Great place for enjoying pasta, sea food, and wine.

Phil's is a gem. My wife and I stopped in for an early afternoon bloody mary and a snack. We got their hot tortillas. It's hard to believe we were blown away by 'chips and salsa' (for all intents and purposes), but oh my were they unbelievable. The chips may have been the best chips I've ever had. Clearly homemade and hot off the press, I ate them until I couldn't. We also got a delicious grilled ham and cheese sandwich. We sat at the bar and everyone was so welcoming and warm. The intentionally outdated look was charming and inviting. We loved everything so much, we ended up coming back for dinner! I got the whole wings, and the flavor was spectacular. Be prepared to look like a barbarian eating them, but I didn't mind. My wife got the scallop pad thai, which was bursting with flavor. 10/10 food and experience. Will definitely be back!

A local suggested this restaurant to us and I am glad they did. It's a friendly atmosphere and the food was delicious. We didn't have to wait which was nice. We had the fish tacos and the lobster Cobb salad. Would definitely eat here again. Service was a bit slow but they were very busy too.

For starters we shared Broasted wings. They were very crunchy and hot (temperature)! We also had the Scallop Pad Thai and the Lamb Lollipops. Both dishes were extremely flavourful and arrived quickly.

The Corned Beef sandwich was AMAZING. Best burger I've had in a really long time. Portobello mushroom fries are a game changer. The service was fantastic. My husband left his hat and our waitress chased us a block to give it back. Glad we found this spot....

The food and service here was great. We had a large party of 10 and they accommodated and handled us well.

Best restaurant around!! Get anything from an amazing burger and chicken wings to filet mignon and scallops. IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN GO. seriously, go right now..

Our dinner was excellent, worthy of the 20+ minutes wait on a Tuesday night. My partner had a chicken & shrimp gumbo soup and fried perch sandwich, I had Cobb salad with grilled chicken breast and roasted garlic balsamic dressing. It was one of the best Cobb salad I ever had. The chicken was grilled to perfection, tender and juicy. Chicken breast and salmon are two things that show a chef's calibre. If overcooked, they could be tough and dry.

Be warned: the place is loud. You would have to raise your voice to have a conversation. But the food is GOOD!

Delicious food but like most places in Saugatuck get there when it opens or be ready to wait (which is totally worth it). Their salad dressings are made in house and delicious! We are obsessed with their burgers but it all looks delicious.

Ate at Phil's on a Saturday night - it was about a 45 minute wait, but our party of four all found that the wait was well worth it. From the broasted chicken, to the hamburger choices, cuban sandwich and other sandwiches, they were all delicious! Also, we heard from others that we sat near that the perch dinner and perch sandwich was the best around! We will definitely stop into Phil's Bar & Grille the next time we're in Saugatuck!

Great Atmosphere. Attentive Service. Mid rare filet was on point. Short wait for a truly tasty steak meal. Will be back!!

Great experience dinning here. The sea scallop appetizer was perfect. I also tried the mushroom fries appetizer which was a very large portion. It was good. The star of the show for me was the burger. It’s different than any other burger you’ve had because of the bread. However, the cook on the meat along with the cheese and bacon add a wonderful flavor. Will be back again!

We loved it. We ate here multiple times during our weekend stay. The cocktails are nice & strong, and the food is outstanding. Had the fried chicken first visit; had the burgers the next visit.
