I had the chicken wings and fries, best fried chicken I have had in a while. Crispy and juicy, the fries were damn good too. Our server did a great job of keeping an eye on us. They also had a board where you can buy a meal for someone in need, such a great way to pay it forward. Loved it and will definitely go back when in the area.

Can't say much about the atmosphere, it was very quiet. A nice kind of mom and pop, place. The food was great, the staff was great and I would go there again. Sadly I wish I had ordered breakfast.

We were pleasantly surprised by how great the food was here. All the staff was very kind and welcoming also. If you drive that way, I'd recommend it as a good place to stop and get a bite.

They truly care about your full satisfaction, that's not even the right word, true joy and happiness is what they want for you. . The staff makes you feel like you have been eating their all your life. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a small family environment. I've been going here for 25 years. My favorite thing is the Friday fish fry. I was hoping they hadn't changed much since being under new ownership. The food was great. The service was excellent. The french fries were really really good. The fish was cooked perfectly; the server kept bringing around fish for all you can eat. I will say the salad seemed small and was on a small plate. The smaller the plate you put a salad on the smaller it will look. I felt like my small plate could hardly contain my small salad. I just figured the more salad you feed people before fish the less fish you have to feed them. The same with bread they used to serve with the fish dinner. The more bread people have the less fish they'll eat. And everyone at my table commented that the fish batter was noticeably salty with a pinch too much salt, not enough to make it bad. Yes the well water is as it always was.

Delicious homemade food. The waitress was very friendly and amazing. Owner was there. She was very nice. Wonderful pie to finish it off. Highly suggest this restaurant.

I have a cottage nearby to relax at retirement time. My home base is the Chicago area so the overall atmosphere at Bells is embraced. The owners and staff are just downright very dedicated to customer service. The food is not only extremely good, but very reasonable priced. This is a family business that is clearly focused on making your visit not only memorable, but gives you the incentive to return.

Absolutely love these people for my visits are much more than just ordering a meal.

Food and service good for an old diner. Building doesn't look like much. Don't let that stop you from eating there. Staff and food make it worth the stop.

First time here. This place was great! Service was friendly and attentive. Food was beyond delicious and reasonably priced. We may start making the drive from Grand Rapids more often.

This place is fricken awesome the food the owner is amazing and the pie is to die for stop if you anywhere close to dorr total stop here...you will be so happy you did...

Stopped for lunch with my 10 year old grandson today. We both had the 5oz burger and fries with root beer. We both agreed that the food exceeded our expectations and Laura topped it off with great service and a welcoming personality.
Note: Grandson had to take 2/3 of his food home.

We are so THRILLED at the wonderful restaurant Bells has become under new ownership. Great Cafe, home style cooking with nicely developed fare. Their fierce determination helped them survive C19, and now appear to be flourishing. This is in no small part, I'm sure because of the staff's gushing and attentive service, and owners diligent eye. Bell's was a core part of the downtown before, but unlike many ownership changes, this family has poured heart, soul, sweat, tears and no doubt allot of financial investment into this great dining spot.

I am a very tough critic of food and restaurants especially of a Reuben sandwich. I have only found two restaurants that their reuben sandwich was considered excellent and the brisket was established and not like shoe leather. Bell's Colonial Resturant has cooked the brisket till it literally melts in your mouth. The service is very friendly , the staff makes you feel like you have been eating their all you life. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a small family environment. If I could rate Bell's any higher than 5 stars I would give it a rating of 10 stars.
