Harmony Inn, Huntley Illinois

On our travels, we try to find the hidden gems, and we’re so glad we found Harmony Inn this trip!
Booking our room was effortless, and communication was established early on via email and text. The property is just off the main road, up a well-maintained, paved driveway. The Harmony Inn sign is well lit and easy to see as you approach from either direction.
We selected Room 6 for our stay. It is lovely, and had everything we could possibly need.
Take the time to explore the grounds and meet the chickens, ducks, turkeys, and the geese! They are well cared for and are living their best lives here!
Do yourself a favor and be sure to spend some time in the common areas and meet the other guests! We enjoyed coffee with a gentleman all the way from Amsterdam one morning, and cocoa with a father/son duo before they headed out for the slopes the next morning! It warms the heart, and makes the experience of staying at a place, such as Harmony Inn, all the richer!
We stayed 3 relaxing nights here. We have many more adventures planned, and will certainly keep Harmony Inn at the very top of our list when in the area!

We had a wonderful time at Harmony Inn! Dave is a superb host full of her great recommendations and very attentive. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and spacious. The property is extremely serene, ducks and other animals roam around and the fresh muffins!! Such a treat! Make sure you get some fresh eggs!

Unique and different bed and breakfast, but FABULOUS!! Booked here because how often do you see all those 5 star reviews. It did not fail to impress. It was a quick overnight trip, but was impressed by the comfort, attention to details, coziness and CLEANLINESS! David gave me the tour, showed me my room, the common area and then outside. All beautiful with so many amenities. Then asked if I wanted to feed the ducks: Of course!! and how cool was that! In the morning greeted with delicious, homemade blueberry muffins.Thank you, Linda. Then strolled the beautiful, serene property. Cool aviary with chickens, ducks and a crowing rooster; and the brisk fall air and colors. Pictures, pictures, pictures to remind me of all the beauty. So much to do here with unfortuntely not enough time on my part. Thank you Linda and David for a great stay. Highly recommend!!

We usually travel in our RV because hotels just aren’t clean to our liking. This time we weren’t able to bring our RV, so it was so cool to find this place! It’s beyond clean! We have never stayed in a house type of accommodation so it was definitely a new experience. Everything is perfectly thought out here. The hospitality is on a level you just don’t see anymore. When we arrived, the owner showed us around. Gave us some extra towels, and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a short stay (one night) and I wish we had more time! The property is beautiful. We were lucky enough to be there with snow which was a treat since we don’t see that often at home. Our room came with snacks, beverages, coffee, shampoo, conditioner, soap. And it wasn’t the travel sized ones either, which saves us a trip to the store. The homemade muffins in the morning were spectacular! Blueberry and chocolate chip! I definitely would have ordered a dozen and taken them home with me! I hope to stay here again if we are ever in the area. It was an unexpected treat. I’d choose this over any hotel, any day!

What a great stay! In town only for the night and definitely wasn’t going to stay at one of the area hotels that didn’t look very nice. Dave was very kind and met us when we arrived. Explained the run of the place and took us to meet the ducks and turkeys. The room was extremely clean and very modern. Had a very comfortable nights sleep. Woke up to the best breakfast ever complete with duck eggs for me and turkey eggs for my son. The chocolate muffin was fantastic!!! Will stay again if we are in the area! Thank you Dave for everything.

We were in town for a funeral and Dave couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. The muffins in the morning were fantastic. And walking about his property was very peaceful.

This place was absolutely amazing. From the heated bathroom floors to the in room massage chair. Not just clean, it was impeccable.

Great weekend getaway close to home. Quaint, like visiting grandma's house... but the room was the cleanest of any hotel I've stayed, and the thoughtfulness and attention to detail was remarkable. Great breakfast! Very quiet, affordable, and I'd stay there again.

Update 01.2023- we did stay again, and it was 100% perfect. Great breakfast, fun with the ducks, great communication with owner... we will be back!

We were greeted with incredibly friendly staff member who shared much pride for the property. It looked very lovely with freshly fallen snow. There is delicious filtered water, clean premises, a quaint exercise area, practical shared kitchen to use. There was also a nice continental breakfast of oatmeal, cereals, milk, plus little snacks, and we even had freshly baked blueberry muffins in the morning.

Very expedient communication and an eagerness to assist.

Highly recommend for those wanting a more personal touch than your corporate hotel chain.

What an awesome place. From the warm welcome to the chickens, ducks, and geese. And the amazingly comfortable bed. The room was so clean and fresh. Well lit. The furnishings were super comfy. First time ever staying at a B&B I would definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful B&B. We have not stayed anywhere better. The hosts are very nice and extremely accommodating. The expansive property is beautiful and woodsy! Feeding the chickens and ducks was a lot of fun! The rooms are impeccably clean, extremely comfortable and very tastefully decorated. This will be are first choice the next time we are in McHenry County.

What a wonderful stay! The property is gorgeous and my room was absolutely perfect. I haven't been sleeping very good lately and I even slept like a baby for 8 hours!! Will def be back!

Harmony Inn is an absolute must if you are visiting the area or need a peaceful getaway. Exceptionally clean! My room was cozy and homey, felt more than comfortable!
Dave and Linda were fantastic hosts and more than accommodating for anything you might need to make your stay feel like home. With a personal greeting when arriving. The property is absolutely beauitful, found it hard to leave.
Hand delivered fresh warm blueberry muffins in the morning, delicious! Not to mention, one of the best breaksfasts I’ve had in a long time. Offered with fresh chicken or duck eggs they have right on the property. The kids will love it!
Will highly recommend to family and friends and will certainly find my way back for another visit.

We've stay at Harmony Inn twice now and both times were fabulous. Dave and Linda are extremely nice to deal with and do a great job of making sure you have anything you might need. They really do care about your stay being as nice as possible. We love this place because it's out in the country and the property is so wooded and we think beautiful. They also have the chickens and the ducks and they are fun to watch and be around and maybe sometimes feed. We love it here.

The Harmony Inn is a hidden gem. The house and grounds are charming and the rooms immaculate. The innkeepers go out of their way to provide hospitality and thoughtful touches that make your stay relaxing and memorable. Lush outdoor spaces for walking, picnics, or the kids to play--there's even an aviary with ducks, chickens, geese, and turkeys. Overall, a wonderful inn, great for couples or families.

Really enjoyed the stay! Just loved the country atmosphere that included ducks milling about, chickens down in the coop and the woods out back. Got the added breakfast with both duck and chicken eggs - Yum!! My next visit to Huntley to see family will definitely include another stay

I’m a traveling doctor and have spent 12 weeks here. This time new we’re two baby geese, a growing gaggle of birds and 1000 bulbs ready to bust through. What’s old is a great community kitchen, exquisitely decorated rooms, and the owners Dave and Linda who are just right. It’s worth finding.
