I see Caitlin for my beauty/hair needs. Caitlin is warm, friendly and truly passionate about her clients. She listens to what I want and the end result is spectacular every time!
My daughter goes to Annie. My daughter is 5 with hemiplegic cerebral palsy and Annie goes above and beyond to accommodate her and provides inclusion for her to experience all the luxuries a salon experience offers. Annie is patient, understanding, and follows my lead to provide needed support in addition to the perfect haircut.

My daughter is 11 and asked to get her hair colored. Let me tell you: The staff is very courteous, the salon is welcoming, and most important, they made my daughter feel special and happy! We scheduled a consultation. The stylist asked questions and listened to my daughter’s ideas and vision.
We were scheduled for a few days after Christmas. My daughter was hoping for before the holidays. Well…we received a call that there was a cancellation and, not only did they get my daughter in place of the cancellation, the woman at the front desk made a point of bringing up how she remembered my daughter was excited to get this done for the holidays.

I’ve been going to Salon Mackk for the past 10 years to Karin- always such a nice experience and my hair turns out exactly how I explained that I wanted it- even with my curly hair! I just had a balayage done and I love it! The rest of the staff is also always so accommodating

Kelly gave me the best haircut I've had in decades. It is a layered bob , which is an updated version of what I normally get. Thrilled with the results!

My ex boyfriends mom and sister see Gina here I just come in for the shampoo I was gifted for Christmas 3 or 4 years ago and haven't been able to find anything else comparable to how this protein makes my hair feel. I get the color care in the pink label or bottle. It's expensive but it lasts me a year and you only need a small amount. It makes my hair manageable and I just love the surface shampoo. I've checked online as I live in Fox Lake and the drive to Crystal Lake basically 50 minutes BUT so worth it. So So worth it

I cannot say enough great things about this salon and my stylist Sara! When my last stylist moved away from another salon I set out to find a new place to go. I tried a few but they just weren't a good fit. Then I went to Salon Mackk based on some recommendations I saw on Facebook. Sara was the stylist I had my first appointment with and it was a great match! Sara always listens to me and helps with any concerns I have. She's always very upfront and gives her honest opinions of whatever it is that I want to do to my hair and is real about the expectations on the color. She makes me feel like I'm just hanging out with a good friend while she does my hair and I feel like that's a hard thing to find these days. I'm never disappointed and always love how my hair turns out every single time. She never gets annoyed when I want to completely change my hair color and in fact gets really excited probably more than me to see the end result. Oh and as if it couldn't get any better, the chairs at the wash bowls are vibration massaging chairs. I don't always take advantage of them, but it's a very nice touch!

This Salon is fantastic!! I’ve been going here for over 10 years and would not go anywhere else. Everyone is super friendly and kind. Rae does my hair and it always looks fabulous!! I love the color and the cut she gives me. She is so talented. All the stylists are awesome!! They always improve their skills, taking classes and learning new techniques!! I highly recommend this place. It is clean and they make you feel appreciated as a client. You won’t be disappointed.

This was my first time trying out a new salon in the last 10 years and I can easily say I had such a wonderful experience at Salon MACKK! I’m about to move into the area and was on the search for a closer salon, and I am so happy I found this place! My hair stylist name was Sara and she was so fun to work with, the entire experience Sara felt more like an old friend then a stranger just working on my hair. She made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire experience. We were cutting off over 12 inches of my hair to donate, I gave Sara some ideas of what I would like and shared my concerns as well and she worked her magic. Overall I am very happy with my haircut, and have received a ton of compliments. Everyone in the salon is following COVID-19 guidelines, with masking up and even sanitizing the salon chairs once they’ve been used. This place really gives you a nice sense of safety. I also can’t forget to talk about their prices either, my haircut was so reasonably priced, it literally felt like a steal for the experience & service I received. I will definitely be recommending this place to all my local friends and will be back very soon!

I have been a client of Kristin's at Salon Mackk since they opened. She is one of the most talented, understanding, and caring stylist I have met. I love how she suggests styles, has colored my hair for over 15 years and recently helped me through the process of going back to my natural white hair.

When Kristin is on vacation, I see other stylists at Salon Mackk, and they are all awesome! I highly recommend Salon Mackk and wouldn't go anywhere else!!

This is THE BEST hair salon in town. I’ve gotten my hair done by several stylists, and all are fantastic! My favorites are Candace, Rae, and Andie. Candace recently helped me graduate from box dye, and I couldn’t be happier with my first professional dye job! She was so patient and listened to my wants and goals, and helped me choose color and highlights that would look great, be subtle, and be low maintenance. I came back a few weeks later for a roots touch up and cut by her, and LOVE it! This place is run so well and is one of my favorite local businesses. I also have to say that Candace is ready for a PROMO because she is so so good. 💜 You won’t regret getting your hair done here! Also I love the products they carry. Love the Surface smoothing creme!

My daughter and I hadn’t had hair cuts in two years and our hair was desperate. The stylists Candace and Sarah were so helpful in consulting us on new styles for each of us, taking their time throughout, and really listening to what we each hoped to achieve - and they did a FANTASTIC job! We left Salon Mackk feeling like a million bucks! Our hair looked great and felt great! The salon is beautiful and clean. All the staff were polite and professional. My daughter’s first experience at a real hair salon was exceptional and I thank Salon Mackk for that!

This salon is absolutely wonderful. Kelsey was my stylist and did such an amazing job!! I wanted to blend my hair to match my outgrown undercut. I am obsessed with my hair now!! This is truly the first time someone has taken their time and made sure the look I wanted was what I got. Thank you Kelsey!!!

I LOVE LOVE going to Salon Mackk!!! All of the staff are friendly and kind! I have been going to the salon for almost 4 years now and have Chrissy as my stylist. She is so professional and knows how to make you feel so pretty. She gives good and honest advice. All the stylists are so talented there. I love that the girls go to different seminars to keep up on the latest trends always bettering their talent. I feel like a million bucks when I leave the salon. They carry great products like Surface and Redken, which I love and they are really good for your hair. I highly recommend Chrissy to do your hair but actually any of the stylists that work there are awesome!!!! ;)
