We've often had their delicious baked goods. This time we had the Quiche! So glad we did. It was so creamy & flavorful. Plenty of room near the coffee bar or in the attached room where they roast the beans. We love coffee houses & this one is special. It has a relaxing atmosphere, great baked goods & now we know how delicious their quiche is! Oh, and it's has very good coffee. It is well worth the 35 minutes it takes to drive here. Thank you for friendly service, delightful goodies & consistently good coffee!

Nice small coffee house on the square; offering a nice selection of coffees and teas. The Earl Grey was one of the finest teas we've had.
There are a couple sitting rooms for friends to gather, or just sit alone and relax.
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Stopped by on my way to the Lincoln Train Station. Boy am I glad I did. I ordered a Quiche and A brewed tea. I saw that they were Roasting Coffee beans . I bought a Bag of Coffee and am going to Gift it to my Friend for Christmas. They're so friendly. I will be going back to try the Coffee . BTW they sell coffee from All over the World 🌎

During a road trip, was trying to find a cute coffee shop for needed caffination. Guest House did not disappoint! Ordered the harvest latte that was delicious, and a unique flavor combo for me. All of the baked goods looked so tempting. Atmosphere was adorable and staff was very friendly. Would recommend the stop!

A client said this was a place I need to visit when in Lincoln. So I listened and so glad I did. Staff was friendly and inviting. I enjoyed the house made pumpkin spiced latte and it was delicious. Saw the cinnamon rolls on display and, sorry mom, this was one of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve had. Overall had a very good experience here and will be back (looking at you dessert case 😳)

While walking around the Logan County Courthouse square in Lincoln earlier this week I spotted Guest House Coffee and Pastries. While I don’t avoid coffee from the major chains, I love to seek out the local, boutique shops. So, I decided to give Guest House a try.

My “go to” preferred brew methods are pour over, immersion, or a good drip preparation. To really appreciate the uniqueness of different bean origins, processing methods, roast profiles and preparation methods I always drink my coffee without cream or sweetener – just the coffee please. The point is, I can tell the difference between good and bad coffee. Guest House serves REALLY GOOD coffee.

This store is an absolute gem. Beans of differing origins are roasted right on-site using Guest House’s own roast profile, matching the bean and its processing method. My cup of light roast Costa Rican coffee was delicious – bright, the right amount of acidity, with all the taste sensations I’d expect in a perfectly roasted and brewed coffee from Costa Rica.

The ambiance and vibe of the place was attractive. The store is clean, bright and neatly organized. Service was friendly. I was greeted quickly upon entering. Extremely knowledgeable staff were eager to explain the offerings, from coffee to pastries. By the way, the locally made pastries are delicious (yes, I ate more than one).

One of the master roasters happened to be onsite; he was happy to share a little education about their roasting equipment, roasting technique, the history of Guest House Coffee, and even some background about Lincoln, Illinois. Thank you.

Treat your taste buds and give this place a try. If I lived nearby, I’d be a frequent patron. Great job guys!

Amazing. Great space in downtown Lincoln. Large daily variety of baked goods and some really great rotating featured drinks (including plenty of options for those who dont care for coffee).

Plenty of seating. Great, mellow atmosphere for WFH. Fun staff.
⚠Controversial statement warning: their warmed mini cinnamon rolls are better than Cinnabon minis. I say that because the roll was thicker and had less of a crisp outside after heated. Try it. Worst that'll happen is you have a good cinnamon roll. 🤷🏼‍♀

I have been here several times and each experience is a little different. As a professional currently working in Lincoln and living at the Hampton Inn, I tend to prefer the quiet times! If you need quiet to concentrate, this is not always the best atmosphere. The clientele is mostly college students. Some days they are working quietly. Other days they are very chatty.
The coffee is always fresh:) Baristas are kind and non-pretentious. Plenty of seating and abundance of outlets for your devices (awesome!). Free WiFi with the password displayed at the register. Free refills on coffee in mugs! One thing to note is this really is only coffee and pastries. There are no salads, sandwiches, bagels, etc.

Really enjoyed my first visit to the Guest House. The staff was friendly and helpful. Jonathan gave me a great recommendation on their Summer bourbon flavored coffee. I was able to run a work meeting in the warm, cozy atmosphere without needing to talk loudly. I will be back to enjoy it again.

Nice staff. Coffee was good. I enjoyed the indoor/outdoor seating. I had an orange scone. It had a lovely, firm texture instead of being a brick of a sweet treat, as so often is the case here in the US.

It's a really nice place, and the staff is amazing.
Review update:
I've written the first part before I tried the pastries.
I grew up eating Syrian delicacy and dessert, sugar is just a flavor enhancer not the flavor itself.
For the first time in years after I moved to the States, I tried a pistachio pastry and the flavor took me back home.
Unfortunately I live 200 miles away, whenever I'm traveling near, a pitstop at the Guest House Coffee is a must.

Very nice establishment. Food was great and so was my coffee drink. Only suggestion I have is the ordering line to not block the front door. Maybe run a divider to help organize the line.
