This place is absolutely amazing. They have great quality anime items and I’ve never been so happy! I got a plushie I have been searching for months for. The employees were kind and talked to us. This place is amazing I highly advise going here if you love anime.

Very friendly, helpful! If your unable to find something in their store, they have a computer there with their list of products from their warehouse in the back. Very comfy environment for anime fans. Also! If you're looking for blind box figures and want a particular one they have them displayed and get to pick what you want :D

Bought a couple figures from this place at Anime Midwest 2021. One figure came with a manufacturer error. Reached out to them and within 3 days they were apologetic and understanding and replaced my figure no problem. They even gave me a coupon for the next time. This is a hidden gem in Illinois and Chicagoland area. Not only was the owner super chill but the store itself is high quality. They display their products in glass display cases and shelves with clear labels and prices. And if they don’t the staff is highly enthusiastic and willing to help. Some other reviewers state they didn’t like how the staff hovered. Personally for me, I only had about one or two members come up and ask me if I needed anything from the shelves. I would only consider this to be great customer service. I also love that they clearly are anime lovers themselves. Some figures that are higher end I would say may be $20-30 over priced but if you take into consideration how most of these figures you have to pay for import shipping if you were to online shop, it basically evens out overall. For right in your face figure shopping with guaranteed authenticity (which is not typical in my opinion) it’s pretty awesome. I have been an anime figure collector for 5+ years living in Chicago and I can say whole heartedly I have never been to a anime shop quite like this in the city/suburbs. They absolutely outdo TooCool. Purple Plum will be seeing more of me in the future. I will never not take the 40 minute drive to get quality fair prices on figures with excellent service.

Blown away by the merch selection in the store! They have such a variety of genres. There's really someone for every anime fan. The staff is super knowledgeable and attentive and are great with new series recommendations to watch too!

Went there a couple weeks ago. Great staff, and great store overall! Had a nice talk with an employee named "Chris" about the Love Live! franchise before leaving. Definitely left a great impression on me and I'm looking forward to coming back here in the future.

Met some amazing people there. The pieces they had were also very unique and interesting. Felt like home once I started talking to all the staff. Cultured and respectful. Will be coming there almost every weekend just to have a good time and most likely spend a check.

Very well organized by series (which i super appreciate) and an excellent selection across a lot of different anime and games, it was easy to find stuff i liked! Prices were very similar to if you were purchasing online but there's definitely perks in being able to actually see the merch in person so you know you love it for sure. will definitely be coming back soon!

I absolutely love the laid back and accepting vibe in this place -- as well as the ridiculously awesome people who work here! Today Humphrey looked in the back and found the exact Kirby keychain I was searching for to replace the one stolen from my son's backpack last week. I was so happy, he made my day!! The Ànime Stuff Store has a ton of really cool stuff that admittedly I do not know much about but am being schooled on by my kids. Don't bother with a mall store for anime merch, THIS is THE place!

went here back at the beginning of august. staff was very nice and helpful, they had a good selection of items with reasonable pricing. me and my sister ended up spending over $600 but it was definitely worth it. we plan on coming back sometime soon!

Got 2 megumin figures at a great price, my collection looks alot better with them. Gonna go back in several months and get the other megumin figure.

Plenty of mainstream fandom items to choose from, but sometimes you might find your niche series too. Reasonable prices and the staff are fantastic.

Lovely staff, good selection. I went for gifts and asked if I could have a card and they gave me a bunch of stickers and a super cool bag which my cousin will love!

Me and my girlfriend definitely found a lot of cool stuff, I wish I had more money to burn. But what we did end up getting was also enjoyable, couple of model kits for me, plushies and a onesie for her. Will definitely go back again to hopefully get my hands on what I couldn't grab earlier on today.
