Wildwood Park

Honestly they have really cleaned up the "back entrance" to the park! They have the fountain on during all times for kiddos or even people walking in the park, they have the restrooms open for when you need to use them, and they have cleaned/updated the wood chips that surround the playground. They don't really hurt your feet anymore. The merry go round though? Don't try jumping on that with the sand almost dissipated into the ground, you'll have a hard time jumping on it as it's going around. There's I believe 4 benches around the play equipment so theres also plenty of seating when watching your child, which is a thing other parks dont have. Other than that the only BAD THING about the park when we went was the amount of trash surrounding the 2 picnic areas/the tree lines. My kids picked up an entire grocery sack of trash.

There are also restrooms, playgrounds, and picnic areas usually reserved for large parties or family reunions.

Overall great place to spend time outdoors.

A large, sprawling park with multiple enterences, this park offers a variety of things to do. It has a full disc golf course that takes you up and down hills and over all kinds of terrain, to sheltered picnic benches for get togethers. There are all levels of jungle gym equipment for the kids, and everyone I have ever encountered In the park have been good natured and respectful. A wonderful place to take the family!!!!

Popular for frisbee golf. Twp separate playground areas. There are a couple of different shelter areas for family reunions, parties or small gatherings. Very peaceful, cool area. Also a great place to take a quick motorcycle ride through.

Beautiful disc golf course!

Had a nice time there in this beautiful day in early may. Chilled with my new friend Anjie and my bf Larry. It's a nice park with picnic shelters and private pull off areas. My family used to have family reunions there and it was always a great time🤗

I walk through Wildwood Park everyday because in my opinion, it is the prettiest park in town! Spring, summer, fall and winter are equally beautiful! There are 3 shelters for picnics all with running water, 2 play areas for the kids, a basketball court, 18 hole disk golf course, backstops for softball or baseball, trails for hiking, beautiful trees in the fall, huge hills for sledding in the winter, men and women's restrooms, and plenty of green space to fly kites or whatever you choose to do! It's a great park!

Parks are so fun for kids and families to go for family time. Need more of them. Remember parks are for kids. So always have children at parks. So please watch what you do at the parks and watch what you are leaving behind. Wildwood is the better park here.

Great place for the kids, and adults alike. Theirs plenty of room to walk, or run through this scenic beauty. With open areas for flying kites, or playing various sports. The disc golf course is a definite must see for those who haven't had the chance to try it yet, all 18 holes. The shelters their are great for family get togethers, and birthday parties. An for those brave enough to play in the cold snow, granted it accumulates ennough, theres the steep hills that are perfect for good ole traditional sledding fun for all ages. An the cross country trails are always open for the fitness buff up for the run.

Wildwood is close to where I live. My grandsons love the new play area. The park has 2 shelters that can be reserved for family gathering. Birthday parties, or any kind of gathering. Alot of people go to Wildwood to play disc golf.

Nice park they have 3 shelters, nice playground equipment for kids to play, there are 2 fields to play ball on, park is very clean and safe

Nice quite little place, in town, but not right next to the nonsense. I've been around this area a lot growing up, and they've taken really good care of it. So if you like decent scenery, and a wholesome place for family, picnics, or photo shoots, this is the place.

We absolutely loved Wildwood park! We found it near the end of our stay in Ottumwa, but it really was a treasure to find. With parks at either end, for ages 2-11 year olds. The equipment is all new! The "shelters" are nice shaded areas with tables with plenty of area to have a wonderful homemade picnic. The park has a paved walking area through it. They also have a disc golf course.
Public restrooms as well.

They've done a lot of work through the years maintaining the Frisbee golf course and couple nice playground areas for the kids .

Lots of trails and paths to walk,ride, or drive on. Also they got a nice disc golf course

Alot of memories made here from childhood into adulthood. We'd sled down the hills in winter & BBQ out in summer. Great playgrounds, frisbee golf and beautiful woods.

Kids loved the playground..i did have to.pick up some trash other people had left on the grass ..but we enjoyed it ..clean over all..and other children were enjoying it as well..

Wildwood Park was my "stompin grounds" when I was growing up- it's a great place to explore the creek and wildlife if your a lil older and has great new playground equipment conveniently located close to bathrooms

Excellent place for a walk, a date or just to get away for a bit.
