El Toro Mexican Restaurant

We had an excellent meal and margarita at El Toro.

The building has seen better days from the outside, but inside it is nice and clean. We enjoyed the Acapulco and the pastor taco plate with a Texas jumbo margarita. The food came quickly and was simply delicious. The flavor was spot on and the portions were very large and the price was very reasonable. This included exceptional service and we were very happy we choose to stop for a late lunch on our road trip down interstate 57.

It might not look like much but they have some of the best salsa I've had in a long time. The burrito I ordered was phenomenal and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I definitely plan on coming back whenever I'm in the area and would absolutely recommend it to anyone thinking about stopping in.

I had the beef alambre to go. The food was hot and delicious. I like that service add tortilla chips(you don’t get that in many places).

What a wonderful restaurant! They were very quick in terms of time from ordering the food to receiving it! Definitely recommend eating here!

Just had a pork burrito with white cheese and verde sauce. I give this restaurant five stars on quality, service, and presentation!

Stopped here on our way home in Michigan. We had a great experience. The wait staff were attentive and refilled chips and salsa without asking. The food was great! Their ground beef must be marinated in something amazing because it was really good.

We will now make sure to pass through Arcola and stop by El Toro

Ridiculously good! Seasoned to perfection...not a bland item on the plate; even the beans were amazing! We came in dirty and exhausted on the way home from camping with 4 hungry kids and they gave us the best food and service. Higher quality than expected for an interstate exit restaurant!

Stopped in here for a quick bite while traveling on Monday around 7 PM. It’s just off the highway. Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the inside is very nice casual plenty of booths and tables. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Food very good!

The food what's really great I loved it even brought home my leftovers I've had two more meals out of my leftovers because they gave you a lot of food the place was clean the waiter was very friendly and helpful when I was ordering if I go through that town I will definitely stop there again

Authentic Mexican food The margaritas are the best. The waiter was very quick very thorough. Very clean bathrooms. Food arrived in a timely manner. Kind of loud on the weekends
