Carl & Ernie's Pub

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our late lunch at Carl & Ernie's! They have reverse happy hour from 2pm-6pm & 10pm-close every day, which includes $2.50 Wells, $2.50 Domestic Bottles and $3.50 Domestic Steins! We both enjoyed a cold stein of Miller Light with our sliders, which were delicious. The slider platter included one of each: burger slider, meatball sub slider, fried chicken slider (with your choice of sauce, we chose mango habanero) and a pulled pork slider. The fries were tasty and crispy. It was a fun environment, and we will definitely be back!

We call it Bert and Ernie's because we have been there so many times. Great atmosphere especially for Cardinals fans.
Food is on the high end of bar food, good quality and healthy portions. Good service sometimes better with long time staff. This is a college town.
Drinks are made as ordered.
Can't really go wrong for the money. It has the Big 10 college atmosphere set just outside of the hustle and bustle of right down town.

I really love Carl and Ernie's. They are a fun, little pub with a really great menu. Their portabello fries are amazing. They have a kids menu as well and are very welcoming to children. Fantastic staff! Worth checking out :)

First experience yesterday at this bar and grill and it was amazing. Food was amazing and service was amazing. Molly made my day by now personable she was and I am definitely returning soon! Highly recommend this bar and grill. The meatballs 🤤!

Our waitress, Molly went above and beyond for our entire table of friends. When Marvin got his soft pretzels and cheese sauce, Molly stirred his cheese as she set his plate down and I was instantly jealous that I had not ordered the same thing! She made the atmosphere come alive!!!

A classic. Great for game day (or night) gatherings. Awesome burgers! Diverse menu items and beer selection. Lots of seats with broadcast game coverage views. A neighborly sports bar.

Honestly the super hot will make you cry. So if you like really hot stuff this is the place to go. Also hands down the best wings I have had in Iowa. I love wings and I always try new wing places.

I've always had an awesome experience at Carl and Ernie's, excellent service from every member of the staff, friendly environment, people there remember what I drink, what I eat, what I sing, everything. I reccommend this place to each and every person in the Iowa City area. Hopefully you'll be lucky enough to be served by either Chelsea, Maggie or Calli!!

Very good place. The waitress was very good she knew when to come back and offer to get us more drinks or clear the table. Just very organized and friendly.

I am super picky about chicken because no one ever cooks it thoroughly enough for me and i always prefer flats over drums and got mostly drums, and i am soooo satisfied!! I can never find a food place that i can just enjoy some good chicken and not have to toss it lol, I appreciate it❤

White cheddar nuggets. An oversize tenderloin. The always notorious Al Pacino italian beef. Great food, decent prices; always $2 pints. I'll be back.

She could have closed up at midnight, instead she stayed open till 2 and let us enjoy my birthday. Plus the food and mixed drinks are great

Love the burgers, this is a nice small bar that isn't too loud and can have a conversation in. Never had a problem with the staff.
