Dichotomy Coffee & Spirits

My wife takes the credit for this one. She said “Dicotomy is a vibe” so we went and mannnnnn was she right. I can study like a college student then drink like an adult if I want! The whole coffee shop is huge and even had a rooftop area.

As you walk in you’ll notice you’ll hit the coffee bar first and then past that is the bar and more seating areas. Toward the back are the restrooms.

I order a mocha which isn’t usually what I get but It tasted good. The service was attentive and the employees very friendly as I walked in.

Pro tip* if you hungry and want a full meal… across the street is a taco truck called Sergio’s… if they are open go and eat there.*

As a Baylor student, I’ve had the pleasure of frequenting many coffee shops in Waco, but Dichotomy Coffee & Spirits stands out as a jewel among them. I really enjoyed the nutcracker latte, delicious. This place went all out with the Christmas decor. I highly recommend this place if you are in Waco.

Great vibe, plenty of outlets, free Wi-Fi, and spacious. The nitro cold brew was delicious and service was very good.

Awesome atmosphere! Great place to chill with friends and some good drinks. Or if you just want a hot drink and get some work done. I’ll definitely be visiting again next time I’m in town.

The rose latte on the rotating menu is life-changing!! So glad I took the barista’s recommendation to have it hot. Major kudos to the creator, and I love that Dichotomy fosters creativity and allows its team to create drinks with such artistry.
Every drink I’ve ever ordered here has been delightful, with the cappuccino and white peach tea being favorites. The ambiance and pastries are wonderful as well. Waco is blessed with several amazing coffee shops, but Dichotomy is truly my favorite.

With its creative rotating menu, relaxing ambiance, ample seating, and consistent latte art, it has become my go-to spot for a delightful coffee experience. It's a place where creativity thrives. I recommend the overnight oats

Stopped by here for some tea and drinks during happy hour after dinner at Rudy's.
The place itself is super cozy and welcoming. The interior is modern and has that rustic industrial sense to it.
Chai latte was just amazing and ginger scone was as fresh as it can get. Happy hour selection is reasonable and our waitress was very good. Will definitely come back when next time on the area.

Good coffee. Nice place. Nice decor and signage outside and in. Very spacious and open. I would give four stars since they weren't so good at cleaning our table from the half-eaten muffins of the previous guests, but we enjoyed our brief stay to do a little work before visiting friends nearby. But the niceness of the place made up for it. Five stars.

Delicious! I'd highly recommend the iced lavender coffee. The roof is a super fun place to hang out or do homework. Also the aesthetic is amazing and its got a wonderful view of the ALICO building and downtown

... traveling the country 8-10 months out of the year can be difficult, but finding a good place to grab a drink and relax can definitely help!

Great coffee shop, the cappuccino was smooth and delightful. The atmosphere is way better than Starbucks and you can actually have a conversation without being interrupted by someone yelling out a coffee order! I want to try one of their cocktails.

They got the best cocktails in Waco! Staff is super friendly. Last time I went, they took my drink off the tab because they accidentally mixed up my order with someone else's. Would highly recommend for both their coffees and drinks.

Staff was friendly and attentive, atmosphere was very festive and cute with the holiday decorations, coffee was strong and mixed drinks were delicious! I particularly recommend the “Christmapolitan”, I was skeptical because I’m not a fan of vermouth or cosmos but it was perfectly balanced and soo tasty. Also, the “Jolly Koala” drink comes with a little koala! How fun is that??

I always love coming here when I'm visiting. It's the kind of place I'd come to regularly, but it's nice at least that a few times out of the year I'm able to come back.
I remember being impressed (still am) by the idea that this place was a combination of coffee shop and a bar. I've gone to another place *kind-of* like this, but not quite done in the fashion that Dichotomy has. The combination and the split between two is done seamlessly.
There's a whole aesthetic regarding the layout and design. It's kind of classy, kind of vintage, while also just being easy going.
The atmosphere in itself is very easy going too. From the people who sit to the people who work here. It's comfortable. The seating, literally is, too. They have different types of sitting places that start from the outside going all the way to the back near the hall that lead to the bathrooms. They also have an upstairs area you can sit in too.
Street parking is available near and right outside the shop. I've yet to see metered parking. The street area on the side of the shop does have a time limit, but it's of two hours. That's a pretty good while.
I have yet to talk about the drinks. I haven't really explored drinks here. I've drank the tea a bit, but mainly I get what I tend to get at most places which is a mocha latte. In the future I'll try to explore and see how I feel about others. If you're wondering, they have tasted great.

Cute little hole in the wall coffee shop and bar. A lot of options at the bar, pretty view off the deck on the second floor, and a great vibe for a date, study hall hours, or a get away. Friendly barista/bar tender. Go support a local shop!

I had the Witches Brew Iced coffee. It was delicious! You could taste the cinnamon creamy sweetness! My daughter loved it!

LOVE this place! My friend & I went there mid-afternoon on a Saturday & it was perfect for us to laugh really loud & catch up after many years of not seeing each other.

It wasn't super crowded and it's super cool & spacious. Great vibes! As you can see we got the Royal chairs! Friendly staff & cool merch.

Oh and there is FREE parking in downtown Waco with plenty of places to roll on up & park literally in front of where you are going!! Highly recommend!
