This place was amazing! Our host Indanielle was our hostess, and shes amazing! My wife and I were in Sherman, Tx. We were looking for a New Orleans restaurant and we found the best! This restaurant is hands down the best New Orleans food I've ever had and especially here in Texas. It's an amazing ambiance, I can't wait to go again. Fyi...Get the Hurricane drink!!

The best authentic New Orleans restaurant in North Texas. It's a family owned and operated eatery. The family is from Uptown New Orleans, 3rd Ward. The eatery has been in business for over six years. Yes, it survived Covid! The menu is very robust with New Orleans favorites. Very well seasoned food. Generous portions. Not overwhelming heat, but wonderful flavors that stimulate the palette 😋. And wow, the friendliness and attention you get from the wait staff is outstanding! Thanks, Indie, for your excellent service. I can't day enough. The eatery is located in Sherman, TX. I quick drive north of Dallas, up 75. Oh, I forgot to mention the desserts. We wanted to try them all. We settled on the bread pudding, so succulent and flavorful. It was eaten before I remembered to take a pic 😊.

This place is definitely a hidden treasure. The food is top notch and the staff is super friendly. If you make a trip you should try the boudin balls, they do not disappoint!

Danni’s Resturant, Sherman, TX

This is the most exciting dining pleasure I have had the opportunity to experience in a long time. Stationed in Biloxi, MS for four years and several trips to New Orleans, this family owned resturant with home cooked Cajun, New Orleans dishes is off the charts good. Each meal is cooked as ordered, so don’t go here if you’re in a hurry. The staff is all family so they are all in for success. The food is superb. The spicy eat is exceptional that there is a hint of heat but never too hot for any pallet.

The service was 100% top notice, the food mildly seasoned such that any pallet may enjoy, prices are moderate but well worth it. Thanks to Indy, Danni, and I will call him Pops. Wonderful dining and we will soon return.

This was our first time here and oh my goodness what a hidden gem. The costumer service is great! The atmosphere is fun yet relaxing and the food…the food is the best. We felt like we were in New Orleans again. We will be back, and we will tell all of of friends about this place. Don’t listen to the reviews about time..great food takes time and I promise you, it’s worth it.

We tried crab cakes scampi, Mothers gumbo, Nola vs Sherman platter, fried pork chop, bread pudding, and banana pudding. It was all AMAZING and had so much flavor. Service was excellent. It was the perfect date night spot.

Food is amazing. I got the Danni's pasta and couldn't have been happier with it. Had frog legs for an appetizer and they were great as well. Bonus is the tea isn't something from a bag, good strong brewed tea and not weak looking like pond water. My wife and I will definitely be back.

My wife and I just left from here and I can't rave enough about how awesome our service was and the food was so good that we will forever be regulars! The people complaining in their reviews don't understand that everything is made from scratch which takes time to make and isn't as cheap as you would get at a chain restaurant.

I've lived in the Sherman/Denison area for over 8 years and had no idea this place was here. The wife and I tried it tonight and it was fantastic. VERY friendly service, answered all my questions about the menu and had a nice vibe about the place. We had the crab cakes to start and they were unique and tasty. I had the New Orleans pasta (a dish I've had many times at many places including Bourbon Street) and this was the first time I can recall that all the ingredients were done right! The shrimp and chicken were not over cooked like most places and the sausage was spot on as well as the sauce. My wife was very happy with her meal and we will be back often I'm sure.

I am prefecing this with the absolute fact that I am not a person that usually leaves reviews, but this place deserves it. She's a little out of the way but so worth the drive to get there.

I went today for lunch on the reccomendation of family. I ordered the fried pork chop with mac and cheese, a side of fries, banna pudding, and a coke that I shared with a friend from work. Everything was delicous.

The pork chop was crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, and seasoned to absolute perfection.

The mac and cheese was amazing. I don't know if I would personally call it mac and cheese (I have a very southern idea of what mac and cheese should be lol) but I would have eaten just that and been happy. The pasta was cooked well, and the sauce was creamy, garlicy, cheese, and just perfect.

The banna pudding was a little thinner than what I usually like but man that flavor was to die for.

The fact that everything was still hot (not warm, HOT) and crispy after a 20 min drive back to my job, says everything and more.

All that said, the food wasn't even the best part. The service was unmatched. The two women that I talked with were helpful, kind, and seemed like they really love what they do.

All in all, I would highly reccommend this place, and I will be coming back.

Amazing is ALL I can say. Ordered "Boiled Crawfish and Shrimps", and LOVEDDD them. Service ABOVE our expectations and more. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and New Orleans styled. HIGHLY recommended!

Hidden gem!! Foodie alert! This place is amazing! Don’t listen to the review that says the wait is long that’s what happened when your actually cooking food and not just heating it up! Worth every penny and worth the wait. Can not wait to go back!

This is absolutely some of the best food we have ever eaten. Big servings and perfectly spicey. Ignore negative reviews. Service was great. Soda and tea refills are free. We will try to stop here every time we pass through. Thank you for such wonderful meals.

The food here is AMAZING!!! I got the Deep Dirty South Rice, I think is what it was called. Dirty Rice topped with Crawfish Ettoufie, this is the best seller, I what I was told, I can see why. My wife got the Salmon Nuggets and she was pleasantly surprised, it was not what she was expecting, but It was so much better. Then we got split the most delicious banana pudding I have ever had in my life.

The only thing against this place is the service is a little slow and the meals don't come out together, but once you taste it, all that goes out the window. Danni's is a hidden gem in Sherman and if you want Cajun and don't want to drive to Dallas, this is the place to be.

For the record, I preferred it over Razoo's and Papadeuix's, so really people from Dallas should driving to Sherman for good Cajun food.

Phenomenal food, home kitchen like service, captivating vibe, but my favorite part was the way you could taste the heart and soul of it all!

I ordered the Cajun Pasta - sauce was excellent! Not too pungent, bursting with flavor one should expect from a Cajun dish. Ratio of meat to pasta was on point!

Boyfriend ordered the gumbo - some of the best I've had the pleasure of tasting! Crafted with heart resulting in what can only be described as comfort in a bowl!

We will definitely be back and look forward to trying other dishes!

WOW! Our friend recommended this place and we were NOT disappointed. The food was GREAT and the greeting we received when we arrived was a very bubbly friendly woman that did not hesitate to answer any questions we had. We will DEFINITELY be back!!!

10 STARS! The woman who greeted me when I entered was bubbly and warm, professional and helpful. She gladly educated me on several dishes I was not familiar with and happily advised me on her favorite choices. The wait time was about 25 minutes (WHICH IS COMPLETELY NORMAL FOR A SIT DOWN AND EAT RESTAURANT LIKE DANNI'S), because they make a lot of the food AFTER you order it so it is nice and fresh! If you're expecting fast food drive through times, do not go in here and give these people a hard time about their speed, because it ain't happenin' Cap'n. The food quality was fantastic. I ordered Gator bites, Red beans and Rice with chicken, and a kids tender meal. All was accurate. All was freshly made and hot. 10 OUT OF 10! WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!!!

This place is amazing. This is hands down the best Cajun/Creole place I have found in the Metroplex area. I had the Shrimp Poboy and it was perfect. The breading on the shrimp was on point, shrimp were done just to the right point just all around.
My side was the Jambalaya and it was likewise amazing. Good heat behind it and flavorful.
My wife had the dirty rice and the trend of perfection continued. Excellent flavor and deep, rich flavor.

Dannis is an excellent option to enjoy some good New Orleans food, and would stand on its own back in New Orleans.

Service is as good as the food. Our server was friendly, attentive and quick. The entire experience was great. Well done, Danni's.

I love this place! Just went for the first time tonight and had the gumbo and hush puppies—both were fantastic! The vibes were terrific and the service was great. Our server was wonderful and the experience on the whole was just lovely. Cannot recommend more!!
