I have 7 relatives buried here. Each one took care of maintaining the graves until they passed and now my sister and I are responsible. I came once during Covid and of course we were on our own, but we found the graves. We went in 2022 the office was open and the staff were friendly and very helpful in fact above and beyond helpful. It is not the cemetery's responsibility to maintain the graves that falls upon the living relatives. I find this to be the case in any cemetery I have relatives buried.

Jeff and Rebecca were amazing during my initial appointment. I love the character of the property and the history of the cemetary. Not many locations like this left in Texas. I highly recommend Cedarlawn and its staff.

My husband, Bob Slagle, mother, Emma Lee Furlow, brother-in-law, Henry Slagle, Judge R. C. Slagle Jr and Nancy, and R. C. Slagle Sr and Lillian are all in the loving care of Cedarlawn. Jeff Edgcomb and his staff are amazing. It is never easy to lose your loved ones but with a caring staff to deal with, it makes it easier.

Go somewhere else cheaper that wont take part in price gouging. Also a place that won't disrespect the American flag by throwing it in the trash! I don't care what size flag it is. You shouldn't throw it in the trash. There is a proper way of retiring a flag.

Had I not inherited the cemetery plots I currently own, I'd NEVER use this place. Their prices are OUTRAGEOUS and after we buried my sister's ashes, and paid over $2,500 for her "basic" headstone...they called me approx. 2 months later to tell me there was an issue with my order. Now...keep in mind, her headstone should've already been installed by this time. Amy called me to tell me that what she sold me, they couldn't provide. We'd chosen a bluebonnet design for my sister's headstone, but that design wouldn't fit on the headstone Amy had sold me.

She wanted me to come in, sign a different contract and pay the difference in price.

Um. No. A contract is a contract for both parties for a reason.

I asked her why she sold me something she couldn't provide and her answer was "I don't know. My training maybe? It wasn't in the book." She then proceeded to tell me that the reason there was such a delay and I was just being informed about the issue was because they had an internet issue around the time I'd paid for the headstone and basically the order was never sent/received. Ok, so...you don't do follow ups on the orders you place?

She ended up ordering the correct size, with the correct design...and Cedarlawn paid for the difference, but come on...

My advice is.......unless you have no choice...go elsewhere.

is there a way to leave ZERO stars? the guy who runs this place, Jeff, has an email of "idgit". and this is appropriate. He is either dishonest, or unable to competently do 4th grade math. Their prices are literally 3 times higher than other cemeteries. My mother paid $465 for a full size burial vault in 1983.... over 30 years ago. They did not want to give her the full credit for what she paid..... and gave her a smaller vault, saying "its more expensive now..." but also wanted to charge full price for opening the grave and doing the engraving. This is terribly unfair. Jeff did not know how to use his credit card machine, and thought he could just put in random numbers, and it would work. Don't use this place.
In addition, make sure your vaccines are current before walking in the place. The office is horribly dirty. There's a thick layer of filth and dirt on the vents, and the floors. Dead bugs laying on the floors. Ceiling lights have mass amounts of dead bugs in them. Take your loved one somewhere else. A burial of a cremation urn normally costs about $250 at most places.... they are charging $675.

My experience with Cedarlawn Memorial Park is not a good one. They HAVE NOT and WILL NOT honor the prepaid contract that was paid in full by my parents many years ago and I have no recourse since the Texas Banking Commission now informs me that the Statute of Limitations has passed. I guess they knew that when they originally promised to honor the contract and then changed their mind after letting the required time pass. Never, ever prepay for funeral arrangements because you'll just be wasting your money and leave behind frustration and stress for your loved ones.

I was absolutely appalled at the condition of the equipment at my grandfather's burial. The entire chrome framework was muddy! It was obvious no attempt whatever had been made to clean it. It was extremely disrespectful for anyone let alone a VETERAN. The paint on your green framework is chipped and rusty and the footings for it are total rust.
There is no excuse for allowing this. SOMEONE should have taken the time to wipe the mud off of the chrome. And paint is cheap.
The boards and the covering for them were so uneven that my grandmother tripped and almost fell and the Honor Guard had to deal with it also.
It appears you take no pride at all in the service you provide.

Very disappointed with the upkeep of this place. Attended a funeral last week and I was appalled at the way the grounds looked. The grass had not been mowed in so long that it was starting to cover the markers. What a disgrace to the veterans and other family members. Anytime there is a funeral they should make it a point to at least mow around the area where the graveside service is being held.

I went there to visit my grandma's grave... Before doing so I had pulled over in the driveway to call my mom to figure out where exactly in this cemetery do I need to go do I need to turn web do I need to turn ride do I need to keep straight those type of questions....while I was doing such a lady in a black car I'm assuming that works there I'm not sure she never said..comes flying up to me and says very rudely umm can I help you you? You know this is a driveway? WOW all because I was pulled to the side of the road to call my mom. She didn't precedes to tell me to get out of the car and go up to the main office because she doesn't believe that my grandma was actually at that cemetery so I had to go up there go to the death certificates in find her and let him know that I'm actually here to see somebody if this is how y'all conduct a cemetery y'all shouldn't even deserve to be working there

The three comments I read agree with what I have experience in my life. Very very unprofessional sales agent. Money is the main issue, if you go their. Remember that. Thanks for listening. Also the customer is wrong NOT them. That will help you get what u are needing.
