Mr. Pelley filed a bankruptcy for me. He is very knowledgeable and truly cares about his clients. He always had my best interests in mind throughout the process. Knowledgeable friendly highly experienced. Typically going to an attorney is not a pleasurable thing, but coming to these folks was just truly a blessing. Not only giving me incredible advice but telling me that if I needed any more help to give them a holler. The law firm unfortunately cannot represent me as I live in Oklahoma, but they gave me a fantastic reference. I would advise anyone going to any type of bankruptcy issues to come see this law firm! I am an actual client of Pelley's Law Firm. Mr. Pelley walked me through the entire process on my case. And his experience shows the results. Other places were giving me bogus typical lawyer talk but not him. He did exactly what he said he was going to do. That is to have the case favorable to me. I will say, he is one of few lawyers that I would recommend. Trust me, I have dealt with many of them and this law firm by far the best there is.

Last summer I was represented by the Pelley Law Firm in a fairly heated divorce case. I would recommend this firm to anyone that needs good quality and professional legal representation. There is a difference between an experienced law firm and an experienced law firm that is also well-seasoned.

Chip Pelley is not only experienced but well-seasoned too and it was the little things he did in a hearing or during arbitration that made huge differences in how things turned out in the end. His paralegal Mary Jones kept me fully informed and up to date on how the case was progressing and was always just a phone call or an email away. Between both Chip and Mary, I was always extremely confident throughout the whole process and never felt intimidated by the other side not one time.

The billing of services was more than fair and Chip and Mary work diligently to minimize the cost of the lawsuit. I was very happy with the outcome of my divorce and hold no regrets about any of the decisions that were made throughout the process. Mr. Pelley is truly our knight in shining white armor! Eight years ago he saved our house from foreclosure in an extremely tight time restraint, now in 2020 we have ran into yet another uncontrollable situation and Mr. Pelley has yet again come to our rescue! Choosing someone who you can trust is always a nerve wracking experience, and Russell "Chip" and his legal assistant Mary Jones made this whole ordeal smooth and explained everything so we could understand what was going on. I had spoken with many other lawyers, and while most were nice, some were fear mongers trying to get into my wallet. Chip made time in his busy schedule to see me personally, when others were pushing me off for weeks, NEVER made me feel rushed or like I was taking up too much of his time, and both Mary and Chip kept me up to date without me having to call and ask. His consultation fee is more than reasonable, and the value is well worth it. Both Chip and Mary also has the necessary experience to make sure you will have the best representation and knowledge on any issue you may have. Handled my financial case with professionalism even through the chaos of Covid. Rick Pelley is a great lawyer and is very responsive. The entire office answers all your questions in a timely manner. I would recommend them to anyone.

Chip Pelley met me in person one day, while I was an absolute ball of nerves. Embarrassingly, I even started to cry in front of him. While Chip was reading through my divorce papers, he made me feel much more calm, and I felt confident in hiring him. Chip embodies the “still waters run deep” adage.

We were later introduced to Chip’s paralegal, Mary. Throughout the year-long process, Mary never took more than 24 hours to answer emails, and often times, she would answer my phone calls right away. Mary is thoughtful, professional, and very courteous with the clients. I never felt rushed in anyway whenever I would talk to her.

On the day of the mediation, I did not sleep the night before. Once again, seeing my attorney Chip, made me calm again. At one point during the mediation, Chip was calmly reading through the paperwork, and he unveiled a small, but very significant detail that nobody seemed to catch, which changed the landscape of the entire litigation resulting in my favor. The outcome was that I actually ended up with MORE than what I was expecting. On a side note: use Chip’s mediatior! He’s not the most friendly man, but he is direct, and will streamline the process; he was highly effective.

On billing: in aggregate, the standard operating procedure for billing is to charge a client the going rate per hour, notwithstanding the minutes used. For example, if you talk to your lawyer for 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 45 minutes, they round up to the hour. I find this practice ludicrous and downright unethical; I suppose it’s the primary reason that attorneys are the butt of so many jokes. But Chip bills in increments of 1/6 of the hour. Most of my interactions were with Mary, and her rate is ¼ Chip’s, and she too, bills in increments of 1/6 of the hour. I found this to be a refreshing difference, which other attorneys should follow suit.

Know this: if you do not settle your case in mediation, and you go to court, be wise in your choosing. If you choose a rude, obstreperous person to represent you, the judge will not take kindly to that, and it will only make your chances of winning harder. Chip is professional, calm, and kind, and effective. My opponent did not do his homework, and chose someone over the phone, while living out of state, who acts the fool. To boot, my opponent paid 2X what I did, only to lose. Just because you are paying more money, does not mean your results will be in accordance to what you have paid.

Do your homework. Interview. And when you do, you will happily choose Chip Pelley.
