You can't beat taco Tuesday, it's a great reason to stop in and grab a bite. It's always a busy day since they are closed on Mondays. They have a great atmosphere built up of friendly regulars and a helpful staff. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. The beers are cold and the food was on point. You're missing out if you drive by and never stop in.

I don't like the fact that they only give you five stars to give on this platform, I personally think they should let you give more stars than just five, the staff here do a tremendous job and the owner and Manuel the cook make Baja Cantina a awesome experience in food and hospitality

The food was delicious, I ordered the chicken flour. I went for my birthday and the chef brought me a special birthday treat that was also amazing.

I ordered an enchiladas plate for to go and I was not disappointed at all. I would recommend it to anyone who haven’t tried it yet.

Great Food! I gave this place an extra star because they serve so late. Outstanding Service all around! Bayou Vista is lucky to have you so golf cart close. I highly recommend the shrimp-stuffed Chile Relleno smothered with Queso.

1st time there, we had a good time. Loved the vibes, we got there right before the kitchen closed they served us anyway thank goodness we were so hungry. Then off to the karaoke bar. We will definitely make this a stop when ever we stay in Hitchcock or Texas city. Prices on food very reasonable and plates are plentiful. 💯

My husband and I were just passing thru looking for a good place to eat. Everything was really good. Prices were reasonable. Staff was very attentive and cracked a joke or two. Everytime we pass thru we will be stopping. We would love to make this a weekly spot if we decide to move closer to the area. Thanks for the great food and service.

It has a nice atmosphere, the staff was friendly and helpful. Jane our server took great care of us . Today was taco Tuesday and they had specials ..The tacos were just right with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese . They didnt skimp on anything . Jane was very attentive and made sure we plenty to drink .We got water and coke to go .They have a big menu with a wide variety of food items . The prices are reasonable. They serve alcohol also . The restaurant was clean and well maintained. I liked the friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place.

5 stars all day long now! The Baja is under new ownership and has a new chef! I couldn’t be more pleased with the new atmosphere and good food! The new owner took the time to introduce himself and welcome us, he’s a local and has done a great job with the place! They’ve added a side bar with 4 beers on tap so far with the promise of 8 to come!!

The environment was pleasant and I felt at home. On top of all that they even had the game on the tvs. Overall A+ stop, get a table here I recommend it. 👌

On an adults-only trip, we visited Baja Cantina all 3 nights we stayed in the area! The atmosphere was relaxing, the food and drinks were great, and the karaoke was the best part. We visited with several locals and even got to know the owners. Their hospitality was amazing to our party, as well as loners, other couples, and families. They even let some sweet little children join in on the karaoke. We will definitely be returning in our next trip. 5 STARS!

A much needed respite from the seemingly endless onslaught of “cut and paste” fast food chains, built like golden shrines to their out of town owners. The Baja Cafe isn’t simply a port in a storm. They serve savory fairly priced delicious food, ice cold drink, and fresh samplings from the gulf. Shorts and a T-shirt are preferred attire but only when accompanied with a laid back attitude and a empty belly. Salty dogs or day trip city dwellers, all are welcome here. Eat here without regret my friends.

We came after the dinner rush, served up our street tacos with style, great house salsa. Food was on point, waitress was very polite and helpful, very welcoming feel from the staff. will definitely be back, I highly recommend this joint.
