Master H Kim's World Class Tae Kwon Do

My son has been attending Master H Kim Taekwondo for over a year now, and it has been an incredible experience. Under Master Jo’s guidance, he's gained invaluable insights and skills. Master Jo is not only an excellent teacher but also kind, patient, and brings a lot of energy to the classes, keeping the kids motivated. The flexible schedule is a huge plus, allowing us to fit classes into our busy week. The environment is fantastic, and my son genuinely looks forward to the 40-minute sessions. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a positive martial arts experience for their child.

My daughter started as a Little Tiger in March as she turned 5 years old. We had tried other martial arts studios but decided to move forward with Master Kim’s in McKinney b/c of Master Jo’s infectious and encouraging enthusiasm. The classes are well-structured, and all of the instructors are so patient and full of energy. It’s exactly what my daughter needed to help build her confidence and start to realize her potential. After her first class, she set a goal to become a master instructor so she could teach others. She’s learned and developed her skills so quickly, she graduated from Little Tigers and qualified for her yellow belt a few weeks ago. We couldn’t be more proud of her and appreciative of Master Jo, Ms. Massey, Ms. Henley, and all of the junior instructors who continue to encourage and guide her in her taekwondo journey.

It's been two years since my son started Taekwondo, and his confidence and focus have improved significantly. I think the instructor(Master Jo)of this school is the best in the area. He is so fun and very patient with the kids. They also have a lot of assistant instructors and they are all really nice. The instructor who works in the office is very good at email & phone communication. I highly recommend this school!

It was our best decision to enrolled our two kids here at Master H Kim Taekwondo and we are very impressed with the results . Master Joe is very hardworking and very passionate about what he does and he always makes sure that each student gets his attention. Curriculum is very well established and followed to the point. My kids love to join Mr. Joe class. They always excited to come and learn with great enthusiasm. Highly recommended this place.

Our time here so far at Master Kim’s TKD class is nothing short of amazing. How Master Jo’s ability to bring this amazing energy to every single one of his classes and keeps his students 100% engaged the whole time amazes me. My now 7 year old who had trouble keeping his focus before is now more disciplined in both at home and school, which I started to notice changes only about 2 weeks in since first few classes.. I never signed a contract so fast in my life.

Master Jo is the best taekwondo instructor. He teaches proper technique, and he’s really good at giving every kids attention, encouragement, and patience.
The class has been helping my son improve his self-confidence and be even more focused and respectful.

Our Daughter has been going to Master Kim’s classes for more than a year now and she has shown great improvement and good consistent growth. Curriculum is very well established and followed to the point. Never ever even for a single class, we have seen Master Joe’s energy less than 100%. Our experience with Master H Kim’s World class Taekwondo program is so far amazing experience. My both kids love the classes and are always excited about going to class. They are so much inspired by Master Jo’s positivity and enthusiasm for the classroom. They have shown great discipline in learning their skills. I love them watching at home practicing and applying the discipline inside and outside of their classrooms.

Excellent Kukkiwon Taekwondo school. Master Jo is McKinney's best kept secret. He is excellent with kids and has amazing patience, positivity, and energy. He also commands an enormous respect. He is so talented that it wouldn't surprise me if he won international tournaments. My son has studied under him for only a month, and his focus and confidence are much improved. The rest of the staff are also very good. Class sizes are approximately 12.

We have been going here for a year and a half, from Little Tiger to Green stripe. I didn’t know my kid could last this long because he was only 5 when he started, but I did see him improve so much in concentration, effort and preserverance. Master Joe is very responsible and has high expectations on the students. He is the only main teacher and I sometimes wonder how he can keep up with so many levels almost every day. I highly recommend, my husband even said he likes sending our son here because of how much he grew.

Very nice Taekwondo class. Master Joe is awesome, he looks for detailing .My son started from Little Tiger and was 6 year old . Now he is in blue belt and the journey is just awesome.Hats off to Master for his energy and enthusiasm.

My daughter is thoroughly enjoying her taekwondo class. All the staff here are exceptional, with Master Jo standing out as the best teacher. He consistently brings a lot of energy and gives his best in every session.

My family and I have been attending Master H Kim's Taekwondo School for just over a year. Master Jo and Ms. Henley are a great team that exudes energy, enthusiasm, friendliness, and patience, making this the perfect environment for any age or fitness level to learn taekwondo. The class schedule has a lot of options to fit our busy schedules. In addition to a great team that works at the school, the other students are supportive and friendly. There is a HUGE focus on honoring students, teaching responsibility, and mentorship. Almost all the classes have a student teacher.
