We recently had the pleasure of attending a private dinner at the Flying Saucer, where Chef Ezra took center stage. From the first course to the last, each dish was a masterpiece, combining unique flavors and exquisite presentation that truly elevated the entire experience. The 5-course meal was flawlessly executed, earning a well-deserved 5-star rating from all of us. Chef Ezra's passion for culinary excellence was evident in every bite, and it made our evening unforgettable. If you ever get the chance to attend one of Chef Ezra's dinners, don't hesitate—it's a must-try culinary adventure!

The weather was beautiful yesterday so we wanted to enjoy a beverage on a patio and they have a ton of outdoor seating. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive. They have an extensive beer menu so we got a couple flights and a couple pints of various IPAs. We also ordered the carne asada fries to munch on and they were very good (I ate them until I was stuffed!). Flying Saucer is so consistently awesome so we’ll be back.

Beer for days! Get the wings, pizza, or pretzel. Great hang-out spot. Join the UFO club if you love the culture. Print chits to learn about the brewery, flavor profile etc.
Parking A+

I ordered the Reuben-Esque, it’s a Reuben sandwich really good, lots of flavor, if you like this type of food you’ll love this place, good beer selection and prices are regular, so not so expensive as others, aaaand music is good, good atmosphere

UPDATE 12APR24:
Visited again for lunch w/ co-workers. Food was good, drinks were good. Good times. Thank you.

UPDATE 18JUL23:
Visited again for lunch w/ co-workers. Good waitstaff. Still good atmosphere. Good beer selections. The food menu has been reduced to a single page. The German plate is no longer available. I had the fish and chips and it was good. Hopefully they'll regrow their menu. It's a little lacking right now.

Original post:
Came here to celebrate a co-worker's birthday - he got to pick the restaurant. We sat outside - I hate sitting outside (wind, heat, bugs. just inconvenient); but it was his birthday, so he got to pick - so lame.

The beer selection - very impressive. Tried a couple different beers I've never heard of and they were awful! Just kidding. They were very good. The food was great. I had the German plate. The German potato salad was good fairly accurate. (My adoptive parents are German).

I highly recommend this restaurant and we'll come back again when it's not anyone's birthday (I don't celebrate my birthday). Maybe we'll get to sit inside next time.

Took a spontaneous night road trip to San Antonio for some good grub and brews. I used to visit Flying Saucer Houston when I lived there and San Antonio's location has blew me out of the water with how fresh and fried to perfection their wings are. Got them tossed in a mix of Garlic Parm & Buffalo. When I tell you I was soring in flavor land and the juiciness of the chicken wings, I'm not even lying. 100/10 would recommend this flavor combo & location for the best wings. Beer was great too but DAMN THEM WINGS. Couldn't even get a before picture because I couldn't stop myself from devouring them.

Everyone was happy with our first visit here. The soft pretzel was the best! Perfect spicy mustard or cheese sauce to dip it in. We also had the Saucer burger and fries, the picnic platter and the kids had a cheese pizza. I've never had a purple cheese (from the picnic platter), but it was delicious! It was really busy as Tuesday is trivia night, but our waitress was great and kept up with everything. Sat out on the patio and with the fans blowing hard, it wasn't unpleasant. We will definitely go back.

Side note: I ate a few fries before taking the picture lol

It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. Prompt service. We had pizza (great spicy sausage!) and a Reuben sandwich with fries. Hit the spot! They have a great selection of beers, including stouts. I had the Left Hand Milk Stout. Delicious!

So, if you're anything approaching a serious beer drinker, you know this place, or of this place, at least casually and probably intimately. On my first visit with two "beer guys" I had a hard time choosing from sooooo many on-draught beers (like about 100, maybe more, and the list of canned and bottled easily doubled that), I was driven to tears of joy. All were fresh and properly chilled as per the brew's traditions and served by one of several fine individuals who seemed to effortlessly tag team our table. Texas microbreweries were/are well represented. The food was quite good. The Wings were not the tiny ones that inflation has brought us, but nicely large with lots of meat to give teeth and taste bud alike a good workout. My French Dip was tender and moist and one I'd eat again, served with an actual generous portion of Freedom Fries that were crisp and piping hot. I don't think I'll ever earn a plate, but I'll be back. Please accept this "highly recommend."

Flying Saucer is a beer lovers dream. Loads of options to choose from and the staff is very knowledgeable. On top of their great beer menu, they also have really good food as well. They also have a dog friendly patio and the staff are always very kind of the furry guests as well. I would recommend Flying Saucer to most anyone and is one of my favorite spots to get a drink in SA.

Best place in town to grab a cold one after a long day. The waiters and waitresses are extremely knowledgeable about their beers and are extremely friendly. Start your membership if you go and try out some new brews each week as their stock is constantly rotating. Overall, it is just a cool place to hang out. By the way, Mondays have a special where any draft beer on the wall is $5 so check it out!

You can always count on Flying Saucer for two things...great beer selections and delicious food. Oh and the staff are always super-friendly and helpful if you can't quite decide on what to try. Foods I recommend are the Reuben-esque and the San Miguel Burger. These two are my go-to choices and you won't be disappointed. For those watching their figure, the Chicken Cobb is delicious too. They have an awesome dog-friendly patio as well.

We really went here for the beer and to be honest, we figured we’d get a mediocre meal but still enjoy ourselves. For this reason, I ordered a Rueben. It’s my fallback because I’ve had great ones and I’ve had terrible ones, but even the bad ones I can eat without too much disappointment.

We were quite pleasantly surprised. The sandwich, as well as the food my wife ordered and my daughter ordered was all definitely above average. Listen, it’s not gourmet-5-Star-cloth-napkin dining, but it’s definitely not what I was expecting from a pizza place so we’ll known for their beer taps.

Speaking of beer: if you’re into IPAs, you gotta try the Crash Pad DIPA if they have it on tap when you visit. The head is thick and relentlessly foamy but it rises ABOVE the glass leaving plenty of room for your full beer. Don’t wait for the foam to dissipate because it won’t! It’s like a wispy, beer flavored meringue.

Have always enjoyed going to Flying Saucer. The food is surprisingly good and keeps me coming back. Obviously, the beer selection is tremendous. I find something interesting every time. Great place to hang out with friends.
