Spring Castle

Very cute little structure. There were baby birds inside ! 🐦 The falls were also very beautiful! There was a lot of flooding when I went, so the last video was the same place a few days later!

This was spectacular. You start with an immersive experience by walking down steps through waterfalling. This leads you to a 2story height falls area that you can play in. Watch out for snakes - however, they are more scared of you than you are of them.

Then, as you navigate through the large rocks, you reach the river bed. (Good luck not getting your feet wet.)

It was like God carved steps to walk down to the cascading waterfalls and river. It was so peaceful and serene. Plenty of space for many to enjoy photos and videos with intruding on others.

Park in the first parking lot on the south entry of the park.

Such a beautiful place. Was extremely happy to visit on a beautiful day. Would love to go back when the upper trails open up again (they were closed due to the flooding in Feb-we went about a week ago).

Great place to visit,has walking.hiking.swimming an fishing awesome views there's a spot close by to put in a boat I think. there's a damm close so fishing should be great.i wish I would have had a fishing pole,water shoes and swim shorts

This is such a cute place. The water pump is working. Theres a spring behind the structure.

Very cool old spring house!

More than just your average hike and waterfall view. I got off the beaten path which is definitely not for the average hiker but the scene view is incredible at every turn. The good spots to swim are never too crowded, fun place for a date or family picnic

Beautiful place to visit and the park rangers here were very nice and helpful. May is a wonderful time to visit this amazing spot. Be sure to get directions to the other side to see the larger falls better, too. Great place to hike if that is what you are into. Different skill levels are available.

Really pretty area. Easily walked to and traversed.

Magical. A great piece of history. Came across this gem in Rock Island State Park -- off the main road before you make it to the park office. Free (but limited) parking lot close by. Great view of the dam, falls and old mill as well all within a very short walking distance. Cute picnic area, ate sandwiches there before walking around. There are also restrooms next to the parking lot.

A pretty little neat place with some history to it. You can climb the stairs and go in and look out. The water that comes from the spring beneath is easily accessible across the street next to the old mill. It is fresh, crisp and clear. Make sure you bring something to put it in.

This little gem is an ideal photo opportunity for your kids. It looks like another land in a different time.
You can feel the history in this place and it invites you to stay a while and enjoy the cool shade.
