Beautiful rolling hills, plenty of shaded paved sites, some FHU, pool and restrooms are spotless. A great place for families, many have been coming here for 30+ years. All sites are easy back-in, they are in loops of 8 sites. Big marina here on 26,000 acre lake holds World Record Small Mouth Bass caught in 1955. Nice lodge with good restaurant too.

Nice, quiet and a very clean bath house. The grill/ firepit was a better firepit than grill but I found it serviceable. 1st time I've camped and approximately 41 years and I loved it and will be back

Lots of open space. Beautiful lake and large marina nearby. Need a vehicle to get around.

Camping at Dale Hollow was an excellent experience. The site placement is very well thought out and easily accessible for any size RV. The maintenance crew does an excellent job of keeping bathroom facilities clean and well stocked, and you can even take a warm shower here!

It's also a great place to explore by hiking, biking, golf cart, electric scooter, etc. There are plenty of places to visit, including lookouts and caves. You're best to get a trail map if you're planning on exploring, because the trailheads are VERY deceiving. We left for Eagle's Point from the campground, which the sign said was a .7 mile hike, but it actually took us to the basketball court and NOT Eagle's Point. The trail then CONTINUED across the way for another 1.5 miles, but that was ALSO not the full trail. It continued on after that for about another mile. You get the idea...

The camp store is well stocked and their firewood burns hot and fast, but it is expensive for what it is ($10 per bundle on our June 2023 trip, and the bundles only last about 10-15 minutes). We spent well over $100 on firewood, so I'd suggest you bring your own from outside the campgrounds if you can. Everything else inside the store is reasonably priced for the convenience it provides, and they also have some excellent apparel options if you want to commemorate your trip.

NOW, as for the great Lake Cumberland vs. Dale Hollow debate....I am still a Lake Cumberland person. If you are going to the lake to boat, just be prepared for a lot of cross traffic on the main lake. If you head down the river, it calms down a little, but in general, there is LOTS of boat traffic on this lake and it's hard to find a private cove all to yourself. Conversely, on Cumberland, the main lake can be crowded on busy weekends, but you can always find an empty channel to enjoy for yourself, which makes Cumberland #1 for me still.

Staying a Willow Grove. Been coming here since I was a baby. I'm now 58 years old. Love this place. It hold great memories for me and my husband. His family camped with us when I was little. So we've both grew up coming here.

GREAT CAMPGROUND
The sites are placed like a “wagon wheel” with eight sites in each wheel. We camped on B007 which was a really good site. It offers EWS, picnic table, fire ring and lantern post. It is a site that sits on a hill but site is level. There is a tree on backed in left side, stays shady most of the day.
Campground offers bathhouse, laundry facilities, playground, swimming pool and a couple of walking trails within campground.
I highly recommend👍👍👍

Very clean campground. Loved that they have sewer and water hook-ups. Plenty for kids to do with a swimming pool, minurature golf and so much more. Glad we came

Really nice clean campground. We were there in mid August so it wasnt really busy which made it very quiet and peaceful. The campground is not over crowded with sites. Sites are set up in a circle format so you do have space from your neighbors.

First time here coming from Ohio. Camped in the campground in the B circle, able to choose space easily from website.

Website showed a photo of the spot, admittedly a bit old as the landscaping had grown considerably. Park very clean and plenty of space to park.

Bathroom and showers were very clean and maintained. Camp store has basics and a small putt putt golf course, the real course looks great. Large marina and parking area for boat trailers, and the water is so very clear.

Reasonably priced for full RV hookup and easy to book online.

We stayed here for 11 days to see Mammoth Cave, play golf, and chill. Very interesting state park. Camp sites are laid out in spokes of circles. Gives more privacy. Paved pad with extended pad for picnic table. Nice fire pit. Bathhouses were freshly remodeled and always clean. Hot water. The bathhouses are very far apart, so if that is an issue, choose accordingly. Water hookup requires a long hose. Only negative is condition of washers and dryers. I found some newer ones in the bathhouse where the horse sites are. The rest are unacceptable to me. Horse sites look great - did not see one horse, tho! Friendly hosts. Looks like large groups come here for summer vacation. From what we saw, they r well behaved. Thank you KY for welcoming out of staters to your park system. One last note - stock up on everything you need before you arrive. There is an IGA in Burkesville, but it is limited and expensive.

Absolutely gorgeous area. Hadn't been there in 60 years and I'm glad I went back. Everything is well maintained and the staff is excellent. We are already making plans for our return trip.
