Taylor's Ford

Had a great time here. Was first people there so our choice on campsite. Had entire place to ourselves for couple days on a perfect spot at the end w water all around.

Great location right on Lake Cumberland. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying nature.

Taylor you've done it again. What a place of magnificence. What a spot of beauty. What a way to say "this is it." You can search high and low but you'll never find a ford like Taylor's. Taylor's Ford is the place to go when you wish to find serenity, peace, and acceptance from nature. A place lost from a modern world but found by the few of us that were left behind. We select few that find the fast pace life, constant bustle, and endless feed unattractive. We sit back and watch the world go by. While we live in this modern era we long for days of old. A simpler way of life. A calm found at the end of the day. Like John Denver said "When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low." Something about his immortal words goes well with a Terry Redlin painting. In fact it goes even better with a dozen paintings. Flipping to a new one each month and finding the sweet simplicity steadily move past with every turn. Those days may be gone forever but remnants may just remain scattered a little over here and a few over there. For those of us who dare to be different, who wish to keep our old souls, we scour the land desiring to find the smallest lead that could bring to life the pages of our grandmother's calendar. Here it is. Here is one of those places lost in time. A place where you can be yourself. Taylor's Ford isn't made for your Instagram account. It's made for memories. Made for friends, and campfires, and cane poles, and skipping stones, and leading charges of imaginary warriors with your stick sword. You will remember a place like this once you've forgotten the smartphone in your hand. If you want to just be, then set the phone aside and visit the Ford that's probably named after your favorite singer. We love you Tay Tay.

Nice out of the way place to have a fire or launch a boat or picnic

Really great place to fish, swim, camp, and take the dogs. MOST other people down there are friendly and accommodating.
