1806 General Store

If you haven't been to this place you ARE missing out! They have a big salad bar and it is delicious. The vegetables are always so crisp and fresh. It has a lot of options and it would be a vegans dream. I'm not vegan but others are lol. But the absolute star of the show is their grilled cheese and soup! The bread is so thick and buttery and they load it with cheese! It is by far the best grilled cheese I have ever had. If you ever get the opportunity to try their jalapeno cheddar bread DO it! Don't ask questions, just DO it! It is so good and one half is more than enough. Their taco soup is fire! It is bursting with flavor! The owners are super nice! They have pumpkin cheesecake right now and let me tell you what it MELTS in your mouth. It is the best freaking cheesecake I've ever had in MY life! You get the tartness of the cheesecake with the spice of the pumpkin. It's the best of both worlds all rolled up into a delicious package! Just get in your car and GO!

Very cute restaurant/store on the court square. Employees were friendly, the salad bar was fresh and restaurant was clean. The pulled pork and baked potato salad was delicious. My husband loved the smoked bologna. Overall two thumbs up.

Livingston Airport is a great place to fly into to go get a meal during your travels. There is a courtesy van that can take you to this adorable historic general store for the best burger and lemonade you ever put in your mouth.

The 1806 General Store is a charming step back in time and the food was prepared fresh and delicious. And there is a good salad bar. One of us is vegetarian and the other two of us have food allergies and we all were able to get a hot sandwich (vegetarian got a Reuben without the corned beef, plus salad bar). Their fresh made old fashioned lemonade was the best and even more than that, the owner and ladies working there were kind, patient and so good about giving us great service and a meal to satisfy each of us. They even re-made my hamburger at no charge because I’m allergic to garlic and onion and their hamburgers are made with the seasonings mixed all of the way through. The taste was amazing, if only I wasn’t allergic to garlic and onions. No problem though. They made me one without it. It had cheese and perfectly sautéed mushrooms.
10⭐out of 10⭐, I would eat here again.

I wandered in last week just to check it out and was blown away by the hospitality and comfortable atmosphere. Small town feel and service that was top-notch. Also, the bathroom was clean (and cute), which is so important!

Looking for something to transport you back in time? This place certainly can help! They have a great mix of vendors, and items that range from practical to highly collectable. This is a fun and fresh store in the middle of a really cool small town. Please give them a try if you are in this area and you will be sure to find some great stuff! They have anything from antique furniture, clothing, comic books, sports cards, tools, toys, and plenty more! Highly recommended. There is also a great barbecue restaurant in the same building. Very cool establishment.

Fun place to walk around..if you're looking for antiques...this place is for you..isles and isles of treasures..found many things from my childhood that I remember having in our home

The girl that took my order ,Marianna, was the friendliest person. She had a HUGE smile on her face and was absolutely delightful. She made sure I got exactly what I wanted(I’ll admit I’m a bit picky😅) The food was so so good. Will 100% come again. I hope I get her service again

I'd been here before for the salad bar, but had never tried their daily specials. Well, cabbage and kielbasa sounded good for lunch, so I gave them a try. SO. GLAD I did!! THIS is down-home-swear-your-own-grandmama-made-it cooking. Everything was so flavorful and so perfectly cooked.

Stopped for cup of coffee, lady said it was 27 cents. I kept asking her, How Much because I couldn't believe it. Another lady near the counter paid for the coffee, what a place!!! They are open Friday night till 8. Super nice staff! Can't wait to come back! But coffee for 27 cents, unheard-of!!!!

Had some fantastic food and drinks there. Would highly recommend it. The club sandwich is HUGE. Chicken salad sandwich was super. The loaded teas are outstanding.

This old country store and restaurant provides a cozy atmosphere for lunch.

I got the pulled pork plate and the 2 pcs shoulder plate. Both was excellent and enough for 2 days. Well worth the money, definitely got your money's worth.

My son and I ate there for the first time today. I was really impressed with the salad bar and the blt sandwich was really good. For less than $20 we really filled up. The store was very clean. Smelled like grandma's kitchen used to. There were four on staff. Looked like 2 cooks, a salad bar attendant, and a nice fellow making really good rolled ice cream. It definitely has the feel of yester year and like walking back in time.
Also, after eating check out the awesome and interesting antique store connected to 1806. Really nice hole in the wall place that I will enjoy and tell others about.

We loved it. The salad bar was great. My husband said his sandwich was good. The service was great with friendly, smiling faces and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be going back.

We ate lunch at 1806 General Store. We had soup and 1/2 of a sandwich. It was really good. It was a chicken salad sandwich and potato soup. Yummy!
