Cove Creek Campground

Surprised there weren't more people down here, pretty much had the place to ourselves. The water was perfect, the beach areas and bathrooms were clean and stocked. AWESOME place if you're in the area to boat, swim, or just sit at the lake.

I have been going to this campground since I was born and my family for two generations before me. The location is absolutely perfect with easy access to the water with a majority of the sites right on the shore for you to pull your boat right up to it. The campground is clean with several amenities. It’s closeness to Sunset marina is also a bonus with easy access to all of its amenities. A majority of the sites have the perfect combination of sun and shade with tons of trees. They are very strict about how you manage your site like no tents on the grass, no hammocks, quiet time enforced slightly before 10, where you park your vehicles....but some of that is necessary to maintain such a clean park. The main downfall I see is that It’s hard to get a reservation which is frustrating when people book a site and don’t show up for it which I understand is not the campgrounds fault just wish there was a better way to manage that. All in all, fantastic place to go with your family and perfect place to camp.

AMAZING CAMPING LOCATION been camping that lake/that "campground" for the last 20 years or so and its still my top pick for vacation every year! And now they even added an Island campsite that you can reserve the one site on and then the Island's all yours!! gradual drop on one side perfect for the kiddos and on the other side a straight drop ranging between 80-140 ft deep which is great for the fishing/cleaner swimmin!

First time here, followed some friends. Came down to the Foothills festival in Albany, KY. It was a little windy today, but hey, that's nature. We all decided to come back next summer and do some camping... I'll have to bring the teepee.

Great place. I don't understand why the corp let people put tents up and then just leave them vacated for days. It's unfair for others who'd like to camp all week.

Awesome and clean campground. Remote and private with a wonderful place to swim.
