DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE

When I viewed the mobile home this company owned it seemed to be a decent place to live ascetically minus the bathtubs that were completely disgusting . I figured if that was the least of my worries I wouldn’t mind paying to have the tubs refinished. The water in this neighborhood is supplied by well which is powered by electric. However, there was no electric or power turned on during the viewing so the major plumbing issues were completely unforeseeable to me as the renter. After singing a $1200 lease for $2400 on a Monday I wasn’t able to have the power turned on until Friday due to some discrepancy between the property owner and the power company about an inspection. This office closes at 2pm on Friday and the power wasn’t turned on until after this time. I immediately noticed with the power on that there were no working toilets, no running water in the hall bathroom sink, a serious leak under the kitchen sink, no hot water any where, and no heat or air at all coming from the vents. By this time I had already packed up my previous rental and needed to be moved into this one by Sunday. I had no way to contact anyone until they opened on Monday. I would ultimately end up staying in a hotel for a week with two small children. What stood out to me the most when I was finally able to contact them was the nonchalance in their tones. Why weren’t they applauded ? That says to me they’ve done this before and will do it again. I told them I work from home and now have no where to live nor work. No one has apologized. I signed the lease on 10/25 and tonight 11/06 is the first night I spent here. The tubs that I asked if I could refinish only one was painted with wall paint that comes off when attempting to sanitize it. There’s a opening in one of the window panes that were replaced with plexiglass that the manager refused to replace and had ait glued shut making the window unable to open. From what I’ve seen they rent out mobile homes and structures just in well enough conditions to make livable and habitable requirements. Target low income families , while taking advantage of the fact that there are very few places to live in this area and don’t provide utilities to reduce liability as much as possible. Also , our water has a very rotten smell, I had an water analysis done and it found dangerous levels of sulfate. They refuse to have it inspected. And I’m still unable to bathe my two small children. And still expected to pay $1200 in rent .This has been a very costly mistake trusting this company DON’T LET THEM DO IT TO YOU.

I was trying to find a place to rent. They have an empty town home for rent. I did the application four weeks ago and couldn’t get a yes or no for nothing. I called several times and couldn’t find out if i was approved or not. Even if it was a no i would have been okay but they just gave me the run around every time. I was good enough for them to accept my application fee but apparently letting me know if i could get a place to stay or not is beneath me. This was my first time looking for my own place so the experience was very unfortunate. So be careful dealing with this place, especially if you’re on a time crunch. Very disappointing.

These people are a SCAM! They wanted me to pay 29 dollars to submit a application through apartments.com they gave me the run around about my application I had kept calling 6 times to check the status of it. They wait after 2 days later after I paid 29 dollars to tell me it’s 3 times the rent. Like why you didn’t tell me that when I was at your location. I never been told this before when I applied to other properties I have been working this job for years. They are some liars and they will not give me my money back
