We LOVE Hustle and Dough, BEST French Toast I've ever had in my life, amazing chocolate chip cookies and my son said their BLT was divine. Great atmosphere to hang out in too

The atmosphere the interior provides this cute shop is unlike any other in the area (and I’ve been to quite a few!). The eclectic collection of furniture and decor adds a certain charm to this downtown coffee shop. There are an array of pastries and warm beverages with your more common flavors but also unique flavors such as sassafras (yes the flavoring in root beer!). And they are pet friendly!!

From what I can tell, it is attached to a hotel entrance and also has a bar inside. I recommend this shop and will definitely go again!

Nice bread centric bakery and cafe in the lobby of a small hotel in the S Main Arts District. The avocado toast was phenomenal. The pastries are flaky and delish. The lobby has a living room feel with small tables. Lots of natural light. Recommend!!

Best avocado toast I ever put in my mouth! We brunch hard & drive here specifically for this treat ! The crisp to bread ratio & avocado can’t be beat ! Add an egg on top ‘ the coffee is vice virtue so it’s FIRE - they have a limited menu & everything SLAPS

Lovely vacation breakfast experience! Yummy spinach & feta hand pies, delicious blueberry lemon scone, and the cardamom rose latte... 🤤 Friendly service. A server went out of her way to get us a table for all of our treats! Hope to go back the next time we're in Memphis.

We visited here for coffee everyday during our stay in Memphis. Love the vintage and elegant vibe and certainly their coffee.

The bourbon barrel aged coffee is very unique and tastes fantastic. Tried it just as expresso, macchiato, Mocha and cappuccino and all tasted wonderful. It gave you a whisky aroma and yet sweet after taste.

Their sandwiches and pastries are also great. Love the avocado toast made of sourdough. Hard to find good bread in US these days.

A hidden gem. Hip, cool, a bit upscale cafe and bakery. You will miss a lot if you don’t visit them. We stopped by for casual Sunday coffee and was amazed. It was Saturday morning, and the place was packed. The cup of mocha was mind blowing. A true mode-booster. We ate the sourdough bread with jam and the butter. The toasted slice of bread was heavenly and the butter and the house made ( I guess) jam perfectly complemented. They have limited items on their menu. We ate the special toast with poached apple and walnut etc. it was terrific too. All other baked goodies looked very tempting. I would surely go back. The place looks very nice with bunch of chairs and couches. A perfect spot for a casual date. Their service is a bit slow, which is absolutely perfect when you want to spend time with love interest.

I parked in downtown Memphis and in amazement stumbled upon the Lorraine Motel where MLK met his final moment. I felt a tidal wave of ambiguous emotions which led me to curiously stray the streets to digest it all. Within a minute I arrived at Humble & Dough and to preface…so should you!

The large doors open up to unveil a building that proudly displays its vintage bones like visiting a geriatric nudist beach. The large pillars…the dramatic oversized furniture…high ceilings and seductive aroma of coffee let you know that you have truly arrived.

The staff, specifically a fine fellow named Isaac, provided a level of service and knowledge about flavor profiles that anyone with taste would be impressed to sample. You’ll immediately know “this ain’t no Starbucks”.

The menu concisely describes the offerings (both beverage and culinary) and gives you the comfort in knowing that you really can’t make a wrong decision. The pastries spoke to me in mellow dramatic fashion …so I listened and ordered the blueberry lemon scone along with a special Vice & Virtue whiskey infused blend of coffee and the egg salad toast.

As I waited for my order at the elegant marble bar I felt like pure royalty due to the ambiance followed by a strong inkling that THIS…was gonna be an experience. The order arrived quickly and the first sip of this coffee caused me to murmur a few familiar four letter words. It was unlike any coffee I had tasted. The scone was of perfect consistency and maintained a sublime blend of tart, sweet and savory. The egg salad toast looked like art that I was absolutely intent on destroying. It lacked nothing but…perhaps…more.

Before leaving …my credit card took on some more damage as I purchased a few to-go’s. If you find yourself in downtown Memphis. Treat yourself! You deserve it! I did! And follow along on the early stages of my journey as a tastemaker to review everything!

Me and my Fiancé went here yesterday for some mid day drinks and to rest our legs from walking around town. We sat at the bar and mr. GRANT was so amiable and took great care of us!! He had great cocktail recommendations and was very inviting. The lovely ladies at the coffee bar were also very kind!! It was a wonderful experience in a cute/eclectically decorated space!! Definitely coming back!!

Seriously, the best avocado toast I’ve had! I was just glad I could find a seat because apparently this is the weekday SPOT!

The folks who work there are pretty cool and had no problem helping me order. Because I walked in out of pure interest.

I got the avocado toast with absolutely no changes but the next time I go, I’m going to get extra garlic pepitas (those lil things are good lol)! I also ordered an iced bourbon mocha and had it not been during work hours, I would’ve had to ask the bar for a shot of bourbon…it’s GOOD and dark. Loved it!

I worked for a couple of hours here this day. I’m going to go do it again. What do Saturdays look like? 🥑

Excellent new coffee shop inside the new arrive hotel lobby. The specialty coffees aged in Bourbon casks as well as the hand made turnovers are to try absolutely. The decor and ambiance is also very nice. Service is done by young people who are very energetic hopefully will keep this place young and vibrant.

Very good bakery with decent coffee. Located in an eclectic and comfortable lounge area in the front of a hotel and is very dog friendly. The scones and avo toast were so good we went back the next morning.

Where can I being to tell you how much we love this place, hot coffee, bar, pastries, sandwiches and artisan bread all delicious.

I have to mention also THE BATHROOMS are clean.
I just somebody walk by with an order of avocado 🥑 toast!! I couldn't take a picture because it didn't seem appropriate but trust me it looks delicious.

If you like edge Alley in Memphis you will love this place.

In the lobby of the ARRIVE hotel. One of my favorite Coffee Shops in Memphis. Great coffee (vice and virtue coffee) and it is well made. Probably the best ice coffee I've had. Nice pastries and very comfortable seating. If you stay till after 5, the bar of the ARRIVE hotel opens which uses the same location.

Tried their signature beverage ‘Bourbon Mocha’. It is an alcohol based coffee. Barista took a lot of care to keep all the proportion in balance. I could feel the bitterness of coffee and the kick of bourbon. Totally enjoyed it.
Cappuccino was also to perfection.

Try their savory scone, definitely worth trying it.

Don’t expect to a perfect coffee shop, as it was in hotel lobby and shares the space with a bar. You would see lot of people enjoying drink or kids running around in the lobby area. However, the ambience was still good and staff were congenial.

Have been here twice over past year, pretty good experience every time. Appears busy on weekends, but what a great spot to meet with friends. Tried recently the outnog which is a spiked eggnog inspired drink and potato pie which was so buttery and yummy. Have tried a mushroom scone in the past which was also great. Both drink and food menu appears to change time to time, whatever you try will likely to be tasty! Yesterday we waited in line quite a while and then it took 10 minutes+ to prepare but staff was very communicative about it. Love the variety and uniqueness of each chair and furniture, each corner being different from the others. Good vibes, love it! Dog friendly too, even better!!

Very cool coffee shop. The have a bunch of old looking furniture that adds tons of character to the building. The map on the wall was very interesting to check out. Their coffee is super good too and fairly priced.

This place has such a great vibe! I was passing through town and thought about just stopping to grab Starbucks, and I'm so glad I went here instead! The decor is an eclectic vintage style. Staff is super friendly and the custard tarts are out of this world!

Excellent cozy and classy cafe with delicious bites. It is on the pricey end yet a great spot for an afternoon treat with a book to read.

OMG beyond love! Absolutely gorgeous space for a wonderful, peaceful, super yum meal. They allow dogs, which were completely adorable and made our delish experience even better. Raspberry pistachio hand pie (and all other food) was amazing and we loved the coffee & iced tea as well. An absolute gem on every level!
