The people are friendly, like 1950's shows.
You can take your time choosing what you want ( they are laid back ).

I have never gotten food that was less than GREAT.
Don't forget deserts, I call them apatizers.

The chicken salad is amazing. It has grapes and apples and celery with just enough mayonnaise. Love it! It was awesome on a croissant, but would be good by itself, as well. You can get it with the 3 salad dish. The Crazy 8 salad is also good. Check out the desserts, made daily.

Mrs. Flip Out tried Crazy 8 Cafe & Coffeehouse on her way through Chickasha the other day and loved it. She had a chicken salad sandwich and said that it was not as sweet as some chicken salads can be, which is her preference. It had great flavor and came with a side of savory potato salad. Crazy 8 also serves an array of desserts and she said the Almond Joy cake was amazing. She wants to go back sometime for some coffee. It looks like anything you order would be excellent!

My choice was the egg, ham & cheese croissant and I was definitely impressed with the detail given to its preparation and presentation.

It's a cozy local owned sandwich Cafe, only opened Lunch hours in the weekday. It used to be inside the county museum, it moved across the street in 2019. Luv food n southern hospitality. Definitely recommended.

My partner and I stopped in for lunch with a Chickasha client, Laurie Elzo. (Laurie had really raved about the place, and, well, she should KNOW, as she works in downtown Chickasha and eats at Crazy 8 all the time.)

On a side note, I grew up shopping in the Levine family's famous Dixie Store (i.e., the department store in whose building both the Grady County Museum AND Crazy 8 are now located), so my lunch was a bit of a walk down Memory Lane for me today. (The old pneumatic tubes are still in place, even!)

I ordered a really terrific Caesar salad with sliced chicken breast atop. The romaine was fresh and crispy and, even though the dressing wasn't a true Caesar complete with raw egg and anchovy paste, it was good.

My partner ordered a salad/soup combo.

His soup was especially good, by the way -- he gave me a couple of bites. )Well, not really. He gave me one bite and I stole another when he wasn't looking. So, uh, yeah.)

I don't remember what our Chickasha client (Laurie) ordered, but I DO know that she thoroughly enjoyed her lunch.

P.S.: The soup I mentioned earlier? The one that my partner had? It was a cabbage roll soup, and was absolutely DELICIOUS -- fresh cabbage, tomatoes, and what I'm pretty certain was ground beef. )

Yummmmmers.
(Now I want to look up a recipe to make a batch of this particular soup at home!)

I had freshly made iced coffee to drink -- a hazelnut-flavored variety that couldn't have been better it if had to be.

Let me tell you -- this was a darned good lunch treat for around ten bucks a person! (And yes, that included sales tax.)

The service was friendly, too -- very much so. Cozy, small town friendliness -- something I grew up with and often miss in nearby Oklahoma City.

I have a large contract coming up in Grady County later this year, and I certainly intend to return to Crazy 8 to fill my belly with good, home cooked food.

This place is wonderful... definitely coming back everyone was polite courteous and professional...dont get me started on ty heir desserts...the wedding cake was flat out amazing...definitely a place to stop in when you're here!!!!
