New York Corner Deli

Visited here a few times while passing through. The service was great every time. We ordered take out & our orders were accurate every time which is refreshing. HIGHLY recommend the Breakfast Sandwich or Ruben.

We did try other menu items & those were the best.

Born and raised in dirty Jerz. Haven’t had a good sandwich in years. Stumbled on NY deli after driving 14 hours from Jersey after Christmas. JERSEY BREAKFAST, AMAZING !!! I will be a regular ! THEC, on a bagel SPK. Woop! Thank you

Great little place! The breakfast is fast and so yummy!!! Especially recommend the French toast. You order at the counter and can take your food to eat in their spacious upstairs. They have lots of vegetarian options. The staff was very nice, and the physical place was clean.

Terrific experience. We went right at lunch time and the food was delicious and service was fast and friendly. Out of everything we got the NY cheese steak sandwich was our favorite!

So good I had to eat here twice during our recent trip to Surf City! First time I had the Italian sub and the second time I had the reuben sandwich. Both were excellent! Service is very friendly and fast. They do have plenty of parking and have a small seating area downstairs and more seating upstairs. They have a pretty large menu of sandwiches and breakfast. If you're craving a great sandwich drop in and check this spot out. I'll be back for sure.

The pancakes are insanely good, and they fry a mean sunny side up egg. The coffee is strong, the prices are cheap, and parking is at a premium.

I remember when this place opened, I was 14 years old, and nothing looked like it does now, but the deli hasn't it changed at least from what I can tell from the pictures. Some of my fondest memory's happened in or around close by to deli as I worked there for close to 4yrs from the day they opened. Barry, Billy, Joey, Alex, Caitlin, Meg, Johnny Bacon, Phil, and Chris were all family, those summers, and even winters! The one thing that brought us all together to make the deli such a great place was the love of a good sandwich and good food in general. We did only have great food but we all took alot of pride in serving the local people of surf city as well as the tourists. I have since moved away and been away for many years. But am so happy to see the deli is still there going strong. Every time I get to that side of N.C., even if it a lil out of the way, I try to make my way there for a chicken cutlet, fresh cut roast beef, or the famous Italian! And oh yeah don't forget the extra sour pickle! It's been awhile since I have gotten my fix but I believe I will make there here soon to see my old deli family, and catch up, and hopefully to drive Billy crazy with my southern accent and slang! He use to love one phrase so much I believe it was " Do What!" Hope all is well with them and can't wait to see them all again and have one of the best sandwiches on the face of the planet!

I was feeling a sandwich for lunch and decided to come here. I got a turkey bacon on wheat and as you can see, they were generous on the turkey. The wheat bread tasted very fresh. Overall, pricing was fair too and would definitely come here again!

Ate here 2x while here for vacation. I got a gluten free Rachel and a gluten free bagel breakfast sandwich. I love that they had a gluten free bagel option. Staff was great and food was good.

Best deli in Surf City, NC. Cheese steak was TOP NOTCH and the salad was SUPER fresh🥗! Prompt friendly staff 🤩. Looking for great food served up super fast..you gotta check this place out 😄. My wife took one bite of her sandwich and said "this is the best grilled cheese I've ever had!" My Rocky Balboa was awesome as well. Menu is expansive and it was hard to choose.. Will definitely be back!

Nice deli, went for breakfast and got a bacon egg and cheese, others got pancakes and omelette, they were all good. Everything is packaged to go, but there is seating inside and out.

Lots of NY memorabilia and cool pictures. As a Boston fan the picture of Clemens, and Johnny Damon on the big Yankee stadium mural sting a little 😂

Also they had pictures of the various little league and other teams they sponsor, gotta respect that.

Customer service was friendly and helpful.

I returned to NYCD and I have to admit not only did they do right they actually went above and beyond. When I returned they replaced my order and ensured it was to the best for me. Today I returned and enjoyed the breakfast, Open face breakfast sandwich, this thing is amazing and made to order. Not only was it prepared to standard the Chef came out and chatted with me. I appreciated the conversation with both invested representatives of NYCD. Thank you gentlemen and your service it went above and beyond. You will see me again.

Food was great! Didn’t take as long as I thought it would since my family ordered quite a lot of food ! The workers were helpful as well.

We were at the beach for the 4th of July and looking for coffee one morning. We stumbled on this place. They serve breakfast and lunch all day which is nice. Sometimes my bf and I are on different planets when it comes to food. I wanted breakfast and he was ready for lunch, problem solved here! They food was really good all freshly made. The staff was really friendly and helpful as well. In fact I told my bf I wish we had a place like this near us to go get fresh sandwiches and he agreed 👌🏻

Best NY deli on the island! I am from NY and live in AZ now so to get a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a REAL kaiser roll was a treat! It tasted exactly like I was in NY! Jason and his staff were awesome and very friendly.

Great for breakfast and lunch! We love the omelets, pancakes, French toast, eggs, homefries, and bagel sandwiches for breakfast! For lunch, we love the sandwiches, egg salad, mozzarella salad, cucumber and tomato salad, veggie burger, subs, fries, and more!
Great for to go orders, or dine in. It gets busy downstairs, but there is more seating upstairs as well, and some tables outside.

Was the best 8 oz cheeseburger I ate all week. I was so full after lunch that I ate a sandwich before bedtime. Blueberry bagel at breakfast was so fresh and soft. Plenty of seating if you go upstairs. A little crowded downstairs if people are waiting for their orders. Made fresh to order so you will have a little wait but we were on vacation and in no hurry. Calling in and taking out is a good fast option. It was neat to walk in ( with everyone waiting) pick up and leave or you could sit outside. Have to be looking for it or you might miss it. We saw the big black and white Boars Head umbrella’s on the outside tables. Different hours but Hurricane Dorian had just passed the week before so most local places had shortened hours since tourism was light. Tasted my husbands ‘Rachel turkey’ sandwich, the dressing was delicious and enough turkey for 2 sandwiches. Neat decor, clean bathrooms. Will definitely be back a few more times this week.

Great place with some really good food, lots of menu options, friendly staff, and very reasonable prices. Can’t recommend this spot enough. Will definitely be returning to try everything else on the menu!
