As new-comers to the area we’ve decided to start into a new hobby of kayak fishing so we took our first trip into the store. Love at first sight! Found absolutely everything we needed and more! Go see Kimberly for any bait & cast fishing needs she will hook you up! She was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Got us hooked up with a new rod & reel. First time stopping there and plan on making many trips. Convient location, great parking, friendly staff, and a great selection for outdoor needs, be it clothing, hunting, fishing, and anything in between. Staff knowledgeable w their products. Prices are very reasonable. A great stop a must go to.

Excellent store overall. They put on a concealed carry class that was very well run and got me the qualification I wanted. Then when I came back Mark and Kevin were incredibly helpful at the gun counter and were willing to offer advice and experience on purchasing a pistol that I found very helpful. Overall an excellent experience in both firearms training and purchasing.

Amazing customer service! Mark the firearms counter manager went above and beyond for me and my family. Took over an hour of his time and politely and kindly explained things we didn’t even know to ask. The entire firearms counter has been nothing but helpful and positive when we have returned several times. We will keep buying things from this location as the service has been absolutely superb! I've been in your Hampstead store a few times with my dad getting some fishing lures. Kim ends up helping us nearly every time. My parents live in IN, and my dad lost one of his lures. Kim spent a ton of time with him on the phone and helped him track down what he was looking for. She is an absolutely outstanding employee and worthy of recognition. Every time we come there she goes above and beyond to be polite, helpful, and a delight to encounter. Be careful, or someone will steal her!

As new residents to North Carolina, my wife and I decided to upgrade our home defense and pick up a new hobby. As new comers into the handgun world it can be scary and intimidating, with so many options. My wife having never operated a handgun but done other shooting sports was slightly anxious about the idea. But Mark the sporting guns manager saw this, and took the opportunity to make her feel as though she was part of the family, there at Eastern Outfitters. He went through basic handgun safety and functionality with 6 models in various price ranges, showing what would be the most comfortable and most easily carried. He explained different capabilities of each firearm and which ammo would and wouldn't be safe in each one. After an hour or more my wife was comfortable holding them and functioning them with easy, not once did she feel pressured but he wasn't going to let herself fail either. The perfect instructor if I do say so. We placed her firearm on layaway as we hadn't gotten proper documentation to bring it home that day. A week later as busy parents and full time workers, we came back. Greeted at the door by a huge smile from Mark and his team as they saw paperwork in her hand. Again, Mark made sure she was still able to function the firearm to perfection including a complete field break down for cleaning and lubrication procedures. She was able to do so with much less stress and much more ease of mind knowing she remembered the previous mini class she took just a week ago. This time though, we had our daughter with us, and as Mark went through the firearm with my wife, another super friendly staff member was giving a similar less about firearm safety and procedures to our daughter,(firearm saftey with smaller children is tough to teach as a parent and seems as though he knew this, but he had her full attention) as well as some much needed joking. This has completely sold me on all of my firearm business going to these guys at Eastern Outfitters, so much so as I put another handgun on layaway for myself, there is no price on the protection of your family and people around you at any given time. We've gained some trusted family here at Eastern Outfitters, if your second guessing your own protection level or just want to enter the world of shooting sports this should be your first and only stop, it wasn't our first stop but it'll forever be our only stop from here on out.

Mark is EXCELLENT!!!!! If you go to purchase a firearm he is super knowledgable and helpful. So definitely ask for him. He is a true asset to Easter Outfitters and I do not say that lightly, representing the company in a professional and positive manner while on and off the job. He helped me pick out what I needed along with other accessories. And I am super happy with my purchase and that we were able to support another small business while getting what I wanted and needed.

My husband and I were there yesterday to check out some pistols. Mark helped us in the firearms department. He was extremely patient and showed me some things I needed to know. He didn’t have to take his time to do that for me but he did. He helped me to try to select the correct firearm and gave me a lot of great advice.
I was recommended to go there by a person from the community and they were absolutely right. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to buy a firearm to visit Mark as he has patience, knowledge and professionalism not seen very often. Thank you Mark! (The lady from NY)

The staff here were friendly and knowledgeable about the item I was looking for. They took their time and patiently answered all my questions. Even offered a little personal advice along with recommendations to help me further enjoy my item. Pricing was fair and honest with the current times. Will definitely do business with them again.

Stopped in, with no appointment I MUST note, to put together some salt water rod, reel and line pairings to suit the many options of fish our coastline waters offer.
Kevin, in the fish hut, was in the process of building his new reel spooler as well as being. Old deep in inventory re- load.
Kevin dropped everything and spent the next 45 minutes extending himself and offering his skills to advise me of the proper pairings. He not only advised and selected gear but loaded each reel/rod combo with braided and mono line, proper test etc.
ALL while being as jovial as when I first walked in.
EXCEEDED all my needs and expectations. ( As if the employees here have done anything less!)

I went to this store to get some work done on my compound bow. I met all of the staff and they all were extremely polite to me. The bow tech by the name of Hunter was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about his trade and was very easy to talk to. His professional work ethic was appreciated as well as his exceptional customer service. The lady at the front held the door for me on the way out because I was carrying a few things. All the fellas behind the gun counter were also very friendly and fun to talk to.

I don't understand why this place has such poor reviews by a few people. My experience has always been great and I plan on going back in the future.
