Wonderful experience getting our Jet Ski ready to go for the summer! HLT makes it a very easy process- would highly recommend. Tim’s prices are fair and he went out of his way to make sure he got the job done in a timely manner.

Tim at HLC Marine defines everything a skilled, reliable, fair, and accessible marine mechance should be. He always answered my texts and calls, answered my questions, a breathed new life into my recent project; a 1992 Johnson 48hp that had not been maintained and sat collecting pine needles for over three years. Now my outboard now sings like a new motor and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend without any reservation Tim at HLC Marine. Excellent service!

After reading all the good reviews I tried using Tim for a repair on my outboard motor. After 2 weeks he showed up to diagnose the problem. 2 weeks later he showed up for the repair. Some of the parts were not the right ones. I took it out the next day to test the motor. After a 20 minute run I have the same problem again. Now he won't return my calls or texts. As a former business owner I would do almost anything to keep a customer happy. Some people value their integrity more than others I guess.

My response to the owners reply.... any mechanic can replace a gasket.Head gaskets don't just fail for no reason..a real mechanic determines why it fails and repairs it or would determine if it's repairable.Not just put another gasket on it and hope it works. You admitted you're not factory trained or certified or ever worked at a marine repair shop. You're just a part time shade tree mechanic working out of a pickup truck and people should know that upfront. I talked to a real mechanic about it yesterday. He said the head should've been checked for warpage and pressure tested for cracks,the cooling system checked for blockage, the impeller checked/replaced as well. You did none of that or even suggested it. This job was obviously above your skill level. As a former business owner my response would have been "Sorry my repair failed to fix the problem, let's meet again and see if I can solve the problem".
