We went to Kings Mountain State Park for a picnic with the dogs on a Fall day. There is a campground there. I've stayed at the campground several times in the past. It's beautiful there. There is a playground for the kids. The restrooms are clean and stocked with toilet tissue. Lots of picnic tables in different settings.

Absolutely wonderful Campground! We were in the walk-in sites, and they were very well maintained with bathrooms fairly close by. Overall very Wyatt, fun Campground. Beautiful playground, Lake, and hiking trails. We will definitely be back

Actually 16 men hiked the Lake Crawford trail from the Lake Crawford to Visitor center at the Military Park. Great 6.5 o/b experience . We viewed a 20 minute movie about the the American Revolution and the battle of Kings Mtn. at the Visitor/ranger station. Park is very well maintained and has extensive trails and any length hikes. Also has trails to near by Crowders Mtn. Check it out you will have a great time

Stayed over night because of an event we were attending nearby. Friendly atmosphere and the women at the Trading Post was very thoughtful in helping us find the perfect spot! Campground was well kept and, of course beautiful! It's dog friendly too, so our furry friend could tag along!

This place was great, we planned a climbing trip at Crowders Mountain and decided to stay here. We rented an RV pad and we ended up pitching tents. We had running water and electric. The icing on the cake was the warm bathrooms and warm showers. I'll be back for sure!!!!

Multiple bath houses. Hot Showers. Well maintained. Beautiful Park. Jon Boat rentals half day or full day. No motors paddles provided. Trails galore including a 16 mile one. Equestrian campground also available. Store nicely stocked with last minute necessities for camping. Frozen Drinks available non alcoholic of course 4 types. Candies, drinks, & snacks available. Ice is $4 a bag bundles of wood is $7. Just hold your hands up during the highway robbery & remember you are paying gouger prices to maintain the Park. That way you won't feel so bad. It is for the greater good we purchase from the store even if we could drive 10 miles & get it cheaper.

Nice campground. Site discriptions and photos online are accurate. Staff was friendly. Trading post has the usual camping supplies and souveniers available in most state parks.

Been camping here for over 20 years. Too many kids on holidays. Very little WiFi. Deer. Timber rattlers. Sometimes coyotes.

We love Kings Mountain State Park! We have been camping there for 8 years. We enjoy getting away from home for a few days. We love to cook our food outside then eat outside. It's a great place for families. Children ride their bikes and scooters, each campsite has a burning ring so no matter the time of year we love to do smores. If you camp and haven't checked out this state park you need to try it!

Very good staff! The wrong picture is associated with this. The picture actually shows the National Parks monument, and the campground is at the State Park.

Neat place. Most camp sites have drive through parking where we stayed. Power and water. We ended up close to a restroom so that was handy. No run in personally with any animals but heard raccoons were around. And a big snake. But it's the woods. We saw fire flies in June so that was cool being from Florida. The places you can hike to are cool but watch out for water snakes near the waterfall! We saw a poisonous one but luckily just saw it vs meeting it. The little store in the front has general supplies and walking sticks. There isn't much close to do around this park so if you are going, plan to just hang out vs venture during the day. They had Colonial Days when we went which was a neat thing for our Cub scout pack to see. They let the kids try on clothes from the era, and weave yarn or make wax stamps to letters etc. It was a neat experience.
