Anderson-Deason Country Store

We stopped here on our way home from Tennessee around 8:30 p.m. on a Sunday night. This was the cleanest store I have ever seen! The bathroom was spotless. (They even have Bu-cee's beat when it comes to cleanliness and bathrooms!) The cashier was very nice and friendly and they had the cutest items and gifts for sale. I'm a big sweet tea drinker, but I'm very picky about my sweet tea-- I rarely ever drink tea from any store or restaurant, because I like my tea sweet and I like it fresh. The tea was in a big, clear, glass pitcher on the counter and it just looked like "home." So I decided to give it a try-- and ya'll, even at 8:30 at night, they had fresh sweet tea-- and it taste JUST like home-made sweet tea. So, if you are ever in that area, I highly recommend stopping at this little store for your gas, snacks, bathroom break, checking out all the nice little items they have for sale and, of course, grabbing you a sweet tea to go! You won't regret it.

We were traveling through on our way home to Texas from Poughkeepsie New York. My husband found this little gem under Google search for gas stations. It also indicated it was a general store. We thought we would stop and check it out. Glad we did. It almost has a Cracker Barrel feel to it. They carry all kinds of interesting gadgets, food and even offer convenient store items. The store and bathroom was nice and clean. I would highly recommend in stopping by this little gem even if it not visible from the road. Not too far off the road and back on to it quickly. This store is a pleasure to be In. The staff are always helpful and very fast. There are all sorts of stuff to look at in here. Local sports memorabilia from LSU to Southern Miss to USM and more. They have collectables and toys for kids. The bathrooms are simply beautiful. The stalls are bricked in with solid doors so no one can peak through the cracks. The entire store is awesome. The cappuccino machin is always working with great flavors. They have an excellent selection of cold drinks as well as beer. And get this,,, even the bags of ice are those smaller tube type ice like you get at Sonic. I recommend this store to everyone!!!

So clean and convenient. Bathrooms had rustic decor with modern waterfall automatic/sensor faucets- spacious individual stalls as well. Well maintained. There was even a sink with soap near the beverage area to wash your hands not just use sanitizer. Coffee priced just right and hot!

Great place! Very appealing. Stop to fill up your gas tank and your tummy with the wide selection of products. Nice clean restrooms. Will be a definite stop every time on my way to Birmingham.

A hidden gem worth a stop! We needed gas and saw the sign for a Shell station at exit 88 on I 59S in Mississippi. We were pleasantly surprised as this is a convenience/ old county store. Nothing old about it though. Cute,affordable country craft store type items. Something for everyone. Handmade soaps and sachets, country bunnys (Easter time), TY beanie babies including the cutest purses! Country wood signs, kids toys, and Alabama/LSU souvenirs. I thought the prices affordable if comparing to a gift shop. Also our cashier, Rita, was just as pleasant as our shopping experience. They even sell gift bags for .50 to 1.00 with tissue paper

Worth the stop off exit 88 on I59 to get fuel and a trip inside this vintage country store; clean restrooms and a lot of goodies, particularly the excellent assortment of scented candles - a must for anyone who appreciates a good quality candle.

A great place to get Mississippi themed items from unique " Free State of Jones " T-shirts to the traditional jams/jelly . There's something to please everyone. Friendly service and always clean inside and outside too!

Great restrooms, local items/gifts, plenty of snack & drink options. On our regular trips from AL to LA and back, we aim to make our pit stops here.

Stopped on a whim passing through and I’m glad I stumbled into this place. It’s an unexpected oasis on a long drive, clean and comfortable and charming. Happy to see it here and I hope it stays a long time.
