Fatz Cafe - Shelby

Good food and portions for the price. Clean, quiet establishment. Great for all ages. Kids enjoy food, too. There is a lot of variety. The rolls and cinnamon butter were great! Desserts look delicious. I wish I had room to try one! 3pm-6pm they had a special dinner combo menu. Mandy was my waitress; she did a fabulous job and was very friendly.

We came here after being turned down at Ruby Tuesday. This place was very busy due to the graduation parties and stuff. They didn’t turn anyone away. We waited 1 hour for a table but I am not going to complain because like I said before they were very busy. The staff even though I know they were tired and serving passed closing time did an awesome job. The food was delicious and everything was hot. Plus everyone left a tip for our waiter. Good job Fatz

We had a large party on graduation weekend. Despite that, we were seated within a few minutes. Our waitress was incredible. Personable, but not overly chatty or lingering. Busy, but without complaint. She gave each of us the attention we deserved, not just writing down our orders.
The wait on our food wasn't bad at all, and it was all correct and absolutely delicious.

We had a large party 24 of us. We were taken care of in a timely manner and the food was great.

Sweet Southern charm. You must try the rolls! They're awesome! Fish and Chips, & of course the chicken are great! Friendly service and good prices.

When we arrived, we were told we'd have to wait about 5 minutes for seating. No problem! While we waited, the dinning room was way less than half full. I wondered why we had to wait. Me and my wife chatted concerning this and the only thing we could surmise is that they were short staffed. (I've seen this lately at many restaurants, people just don't want to work nowadays.)

Regardless, as we waited I noticed that it seemed extremely hot, temperature wise. We were standing right next to the thermostat, it was hitting real close to 80 degrees! Wow!

However, we were finally seated, the staff was extremely polite, I applaud them for how nice they were. The waitress was extremely helpful, and offered me a replacement if I didn't care for one side item on the menu. (cheese grits). With my grilled lemon fish. Never had cheese grits before, and now I will say even though I liked the shrimp & grits I had with my daughter earlier in the year, cheese grits were not to my liking. She was true to her word. She replaced them with some very good green beans.

The rest of the meal was great as well. My glass never hit bottom, she kelp it filled! I highly recommend them. Well be back.

We had a large party.... a birthday party to be exact. We had two servers for 4 tables. Both were very pleasant, took our orders quickly, kept our drinks filled and brought us great food. We'll definitely go back.

Restraunt was quite, staff was very cheerful and helpful. Menu was nice and varied, food came out quickly and was served hot. Best French fries I've had in a long time. Burgers and mac and cheese were excellent. Will return.

Took the family there for dinner last night and very impressed. Had a short wait for a table and when we were seated, our server, Carlie was excellent. She kept our drinks full and we didn't wait longer than 10-15 minutes for our food despite the fact they were extremely busy. The food was excellent as well. Overall, a great experience.

Fatz handled catering for our son’s wedding rehearsal and reception this weekend at a venue in Shelby. Nate from their catering department was wonderful to work with from start to finish. He made setting it all up very easy. He did an outstanding job handling everything at the venue. It is definitely worth the money to have them handle everything from set up, to serving, to clean up. The food was great and the service from start to finish was 5 stars. If I could give Nate 10
stars I would. We did not have one single issue with either meal.

I always love visiting this restaurant. The food is always amazing and the staff is always friendly. 1 of my new faves are the brussel sprouts and calabash wrap!! I love a lot of the dishes here. I'm just hung up on that at the moment. If you haven't had it yet, please try it. You can even get a smaller portion with a half wrap.

The food was good, the inside had a warm cozy feel to it, the service was great and the prices were not to bad. Great place to take the family they also have a bar on the other side for those who want to grab a beer or mixed drink and enjoy good company.

Our take out order was very fresh and Brittany made sure that we had everything we needed and that everything was correct. Best customer service I’ve seen in a while. The food was delicious as well.

This place has better steaks than Long Horn steak house. Great waiter as well. The rolls are always hot with honey butter cinnamon butter to put on top. Will be back!

Good ribs and friendly people. I have a service dog and it’s not everyday that I go somewhere and people treat me like a human being and not as someone that’s disabled. It makes me feel normal to come here. The young lady who served me, who worked at the bar was super sweet and nice. I’ll 10/10 be back. Thanks for providing me with a little bit or normalcy. It is very much appreciated.

Great service and delicious food. He said his steak was very flavorful and my ribs were fork tender and so good. The rolls with the honey butter are awesome.

Service was real good, Thank you Mindy. She kept refilling on our water. Food was really good. Did not wait long to get it. Husband got the meat loaf and loved it. I got the chicken tenders with coleslaw and fries. Everything was real good. Portions were really good. Took food home along with water to go. Will return next time we are back here.

Perfect southern food. Not as good as my mom makes, but that cant be beat! FATZ is a close second, and I had a great time there. Our server was super friendly, and quick with us. They checked in frequently to see how our meal was, and it was great. I got the chicken tenders, coated in the Peach BBQ sauce. Next time I might get another sauce on it, I would go back again.

Had the best experience, sweet lady that waited on us over cooked my hubs steak. Brought him a new one. Got a little buzzed off my drink yum.

Dad and I love to eat here almost every week. Donna is the server we always ask for. She is the best. She is definitely an asset to Fatz.
