Moonrise Hotel

I lived near this area years ago and was leery of staying on Delmar, but the area has been revitalized into a charming part of the city. The hotel was beautiful — our room was clean and cute, and the bed was very comfortable. Everyone we met on the staff was friendly. Check in/out was simple and quick. Free parking very close. Our breakfast in Eclipse restaurant was very good and not horribly expensive. For dinner, there is quite the selection of ethnic restaurants just a few steps away. Really enjoyed this hotel and would love to return.

We love to stay at the Moonrise when we come to St. Louis. It's in a great location and you can walk to many different restaurants and shops. There are two music venues steps away and for us, the fact that they are extremely pet friendly makes a world of difference. All the staff are pleasant and appear to really enjoy their jobs, right down to the valet. The rooms are clean and well appointed, have very comfy beds and include cute kitschy references to off planet sites and scenes. We love the rooftop bar under the stars also!

Picturesque and well put together hotel on the loop. The rooms are nice, and the art within them gives a pleasant aesthetic. Although there are multiple restaurants around the area, most are closed early in the week within the mid-afternoon and late evening. The rooftop bar serves food and is very good in quality. Will stay again if I'm in the area. Valet is $20 a night, and I did not have any issues even with an early departure on my checkout day. Booked with AAdvantage.

Found this place last minute for just one nights stay, and it was just as cheap as any of the other hotels around. Didn't realize this place was pet friendly and wouldn't have without the dog bowls in the lobby and another guest in the elevator telling us about her dogs. It smells great and is so clean. The decor is absolutely lovely and adds to the high-end special feel of the hotel. I love it here and honestly want to come back to St. Louis partially for this hotel. Yay, Moonrise!

First time staying at.this hotel. Room very nice and clean. I will warn you that the beds are HIGH..Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Valet parking was nice and quick and staff there were very friendly and helpful. We ate in the Eclipse restaurant our first.night..was ok..but again the staff were great. The calamari was WAY overcooked..but they took that off our bill. All in all we would stay again.

I want to start by saying I don’t typically write reviews for things. This was a special occasion. We arrived got close parking for free, had a fast check in process, and got to our room in minutes. Super friendly staff, pointed us to some things to do in the area too.

The room was nice, so was the interior of the hotel. There was a crumb under the curtain and the bathroom mirror could’ve used cleaned, but if a crumb and a slightly dirty mirror is all I noticed, I think it’s doing pretty damn good. Aside from that, the room was great! Beds were super comfortable, staff checked in on us asking if we needed more towels or coffee or anything. Never had that at a hotel before.

The bar staff were incredibly friendly. They made us the best wings I’ve ever had in my life. (BBQ Wings if you’re curious).

Pets are allowed, and it was never an issue. Still seemed clean and well kept.

The location is great too. Right by a dispensary, weed bar, bar on the rooftop, a nice breakfast place, and some attractions like mini golf.

Check out process was fast too. Was going to give 4.5 initially, but the staff going above and beyond bumped it up for me! Would highly reccomend and will be back in the future.

Great place to stay.

Pet friendly. While the piddle spot right outside the hotel is handy, a better spot is across the street to the side of the church. There are grassy spots. Please don't forget your poop bag.

The staff are upbeat and helpful. We felt secure the entire visit.

The collections displayed inside & out are fabulous.

Room decor reflects the theme of the hotel without going overboard.

The rooftop bar is great. Good views of the city.

I traveled by myself to St. Louis for a concert at the Pageant and decided to stay next door at the Moonrise. Best decision ever. The Metrolink station was about a block and a half from the hotel which made it very inexpensive to come and go from the airport and downtown. The entire area was safe and walkable at night. The hotel had such a fun theme. My room was very comfortable especially the bed. The employees were so nice. The rooftop bar was very relaxing. I would stay here again.

This stay was last minute and chosen because it was close to the hospital my daughter in law just had her baby. We were very impressed with the room, super comfy and clean. Very quiet considering the location and night life around the area. Bed was lovely and bathroom had great water pressure/temperature. I didn't get a chance to visit any of the amenities but will definitely stay again and check them out.

Really beautiful hotel that was hitting on all our favorite things: outer space, rainbows, walkability, and pet friendly. We didn't pay to valet and our car remained unbothered the whole time. Be careful on weekends as the lot nearly filled up one of the nights. If something big is going on down there, it might be hard to park and valet may be a better option in that scenario.

Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great!

I can’t say enough great things about staying here. The space decor and overall vibe is fantastic. We love that it’s pet friendly and super clean. The beds were seriously comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooftop bar is a blast. And the location is perfect, especially if you’re in town to see a show next door at the Pageant.

I was floored by the service, accommodation, and general appearance of the hotel. Moonrise has its own restaurant on the top floor, and a number of food options within walking distance. The Pageant is next door which would make a solo show a breeze. Valet was exceptional as well! Number one reason to come back: the galactic decor!

Great moon theme decor. Two doors down from the Pageant, a great place to catch a concert, close to restaurants and Eclipse restaurant in hotel served a great breakfast. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable, bathroom was nice and roomy with great shower. We had a great stay!

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location with the NICEST STAFF I have ever encountered anywhere. I was desperately trying to get a report submitted for work and completely overstayed checkout. The staff very politely reminded me a couple times without being in any way rude. I feel bad about being late but am so impressed by their courtesy. Shinning ⭐ in the hospitality industry!

I just enjoyed my 4th stay at the Moonrise. I love the atmosphere, which the staff definitely adds to. Was good to see guards on duty in the parking lot. Couldn't be better, for responsible pet owners...am looking forward to my next visit!

This hotel was perfect for a quick trip to WashU! My favorite part of the hotel was the location right across the street from a fabulous diner with a mimosa kit special + an old school theater + late night mini golf! Service was also good with attention to special requests.

Location is great to walk around and discover places. The service was absolutely incredible. Everyone was very nice (including the Eclipse Restaurant). I loved the details in my room. Stayed for a business trip as a solo woman traveler and felt very safe.

This place!! Omg this place! First of all the entire theme is simply stunning! From the moment you walk in you are flooded with a beautiful otherworldly experience which I absolutely LOVED! Then you walk up to the desk and if you are lucky you will walk up to Scott! This man is the BEST! He is friendly, smart, witty, very informative and simply amazing! He is so charismatic and engaging, when he talks to you he really talks to you! I’ve been so many places where the person behind the counter is talking to you but you can tell they’re actually just waiting for you to walk away…. That is NOT the case here! He was so delightful that we could have stayed and talked to him all day and that’s saying something because you automatically want to adventure through this magical place!! We also got to talking with the manager Clay (who also is) phenomenal, Dylan, Justin and a few others (who’s names I did not get, I’m so sorry!!) who are equally as delightful and who ALL seemed to really care and show genuine interest and were all sooooo pleasant! We got a corner suite and the room was stunning as you can see by the pics, there was a random little sticker on the sink drain that just delighted me, simple little things like this make a huge impact! Also we bring a white noise sound machine everywhere we travel and they had one in the room!! Genius! We went up to the rooftop for drinks and I looked up and saw the moon……. We stayed at the Moonrise Hotel during a full STRAWBERRY moon!! Everyone was polite and enjoying themselves, I asked the bartender Jasmine (who evidently is new but definitely knows what she’s doing!) for a “painkiller” (drink lol) she didn’t know how to make one but looked it up and made it and it tasted wonderful! The fact that she took time out of her VERY busy night to make me what I wanted speaks volumes! We get another night here and I don’t want to leave and not just because no one wants to come back from vacation but because I’d love to just hang out with the amazing “staff” because they feel like family…. But the good kind of family, not the “oh crap I have to see them for Thanksgiving” kind!! All in all this place is a gem hidden away that I love! I always write reviews for places that go above and beyond, this place definitely checks that box, just make sure when we’re coming you still have a room for us! 💖💖

We attended a concert at the Pageant and got the Vincent Price suite. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. The windows offered a view right down Del Mar. The staff was super accommodating and affable, even after we were a little too loud in the wee hours. I'll never not stay here when I'm in town for a show.

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had! Great service from the moment I arrived from concierge, a great vibe all around. My only critique is the parking situation is pretty confusing as to what is considered "Hotel Parking," some extra signage would be helpful for those of us who traveled from out of town. I will stay again.
